Just finished up my taxes and Doug and the rest of the crew was awesome as hell answering all my questions and were very helpful. Highly recommended.

Kudos go out to Doug and Kerri for helping me during tax crunch time. They were incredibly helpful with all the complexities. I highly recommend Tokentax to anyone.

My overall experience has been good. Your team is amazing, especially Doug, the person who has been helping me the most in this adventure (3 days), as well as Steve and Oat. They tried to accommodate my time needs the best possible and with the little knowledge I had they were able to give me through to get the reports I needed as well as issues with login and such. I think I hit every issue I could have encountered. Thank you.

I made the mistake of purchasing the lower level of software than I needed. Upon reaching out for refund, I was informed they do not issue them. I explained my use-case and lack of bankroll/volume to warrant the next level of software. Instead of refunding me, they asked me to upload my transactions from the two exchanges I used for leverage trading, along with my API for my spot exchange. I suspected it was to verify my claim of minimal use-case, so I uploaded them. I was surprised to find that they tallied those transactions for me and allowed me to download them for my tax purposes. It consisted of several emails over a few weeks, but they (Doug and others) were very responsive and supportive in every email. They even adjusted some mistakes I had made to get my tax liability significantly lower. I cannot praise TokenTax and their support enough. Grasping the steep learning curve this year allowed me to really appreciate what TokenTax offers for software and the excellent personal service was top notch.

I'm still going to leave the original review below, but did want to clarify that after some back and forth and an escalation, a refund was ultimately approved. For that reason I am bumping my review from 1 star to 3, mostly just due to my experience with the product itself.

I still think that if you are using this product, it could feel blindsiding that you have to do a lot more work manually than the website would otherwise have you believe, even for commonly-used DeFi apps and chains. I had less than 1% of my transactions automatically reconciled, which to me seems unacceptable given the $200 price tag. Of course, any service is going to take a little manually tweaking for it to match your unique situation, but 1% is just not a good starting place and begs the question of what you are really even paying for.

Waste of $200, and NO REFUNDS ALLOWED

Unsophisticated tax app, it says that it supports a variety of DeFi integrations to help you in classifying your portfolio, but nearly everything I had tried needed manual classification. If I wanted to spend $200 doing my own accounting, I wouldn't have spent it on a glorified spreadsheet, I would've just bought myself Uber eats for the few nights that it would take to classify everything manually. I had wanted to save myself time, and ended up wasting even more of it.

Further, and I don't remember seeing this clearly stated during the sign-up phase, but they DO NOT GIVE REFUNDS if you are unhappy with the service. Instead, if you are unsatisfied with the capabilities (and there's no way to tell beforehand, because you have to pay for access to use it) you have to sit there and argue with their customer support in the hopes that they will understand the extent of missing functionality they claimed to have had, wasting even more time that you could spend doing the classification yourself with your Thai takeout.

I’ve been a crypto investor for a number of years but the idea of reconciling large amounts of data fills me with dread.With this in mind I’d like to make a particular mention of three individuals, Oat, Steve and Doug who kept channels of communication open and supported my endeavours reconciling data as a matter of courtesy and I can’t thank them all enough. They’ve made what could potentially be an extremely difficult process a lot smoother and I’ve got to show my appreciation. I can’t recommend them enough.

They were incredibly helpful with my crypto taxes. When things got complicated, I was able to chat with someone right away who walked me through everything step by step. The process felt much less overwhelming thanks to their personal assistance. I'm grateful I used them and wouldn't go anywhere else.
