All jokes aside, he was very humorous and certainly gave the human to human connection we are all so desperate for from companies these days. Avoid using this company. While the initial process of taking this policy out was hassle free, when it comes to claiming, it is far from it.
I have been diagnosed with Lymphoma and promptly contacted Tom to begin my critical illness claim. Forms were sent to me, again, I quickly filled these out and returned to their Freepost address. After over a week of not hearing anything, I called to only find they had not arrived and was given an email to send the forms to, why was this not an option in the first place?!
All the information provided on the form was filled out and signed by my consultant at the hospital but Tom's first action was to send a letter to my GP requesting a report. Unsurprisingly, my GP didn't have that information as it was dealt with at the hospital by my consultant. After chasing, again, I was informed they would then send a letter to the hospital for my consultant to request the extra information they needed. This was almost 3 weeks a go and I have had to call to chase again to find they are still waiting to hear from the hospital but have not bothered to chase or use any other form of communication than by post which has failed in the past. Why do they not call or email?!
All in all it just feels like delay tactics. I am unwell and going through one of the worst things in my life and feel customer service is not sympathetic and tell me it's the claims department that are dealing with it without actually putting me in direct contact with them and then asking me to chase the hospital and consultant....
