DISGUSTING BREEDER
DISGUSTING BREEDER. My puppy came to me with a break in her back… aspirating on water, needed over 30k in vet bills in her first year of life to even get her stable… they’re only response “they’re rooting for her” all from poor breeding and handling. STAY FAR AWAY we even bought her after they ASSURED me she’d be safe to BREED!

Thank you for sharing your experience. We are truly sorry to hear about the health concerns you have described regarding Gelata.
At the same time, we would like to clarify a few important facts. Gelata left our care after multiple veterinary examinations and was cleared for international air transport. Airlines have very strict health regulations, and puppies are not permitted to travel unless they are considered fit and healthy at the time of departure. While she was with us, there were no signs of the serious conditions later described, and none of her littermates or previous dogs from this bloodline have shown similar issues.
Since the concern was raised, we have taken it seriously and asked for full medical documentation in order to better understand the situation and determine the possible cause. The limited veterinary report we received does not establish a definitive diagnosis and notes that the suspected condition may be idiopathic epilepsy, which by definition means a disorder of unknown cause. The earlier concern of congenital hydrocephalus was also not confirmed.
We understand that when a puppy develops health problems, it can be extremely distressing for the owner. Even when such cases are rare, that understandably does not make the experience easier for the person involved. In situations like this, the most responsible path forward is open, professional cooperation and full medical information, so that the matter can be assessed fairly and responsibly.
We take the wellbeing of every puppy seriously and have approached this matter in good faith from the beginning.
We appreciate all feedback, including difficult experiences, and we sincerely wish Gelata the very best.

Working with Tom Kings French Bulldog…
Working with Tom Kings French Bulldog Kennel was a very rewarding and easy experience. Tom Kings got me in touch with a family in my area that had gotten three dogs from them nd I went and visited for over an hour. We talked about the health of the Tom Kings frenchies compared to Frenchies they had gotten in the past. The family stated that the Tom Kings frenchies were so much healthier and well adjusted than their previous frenchies.
From start to finish and beyond the Tom Kings team team was with me the whole way. The process of getting my beautiful frenchie from Hungary to LAX was so easy I was amazed. She is truly a beautiful and well adjusted dog. She as six months old when I got her and was already housed trained and learned the dog door as soon as she arrived. I highly recommend Tom Kings and would welcome any questions from families thinking about getting a frenchie from Tom Kings

Awful breeder …
We thought we purchased a healthy beautiful frenchie from TomKings. Unfortunately my best friend after three years was diagnosed with a terminal genetic neurological disease. We were left with tens of thousands dollars of pet bills to keep him comfortable and are limited time with our angel. I would NOT get one of their puppies.
As you can read below their response , they say we have to remember these are living beings! I am fully aware- Hank is like my baby so the breeder does not understand how WE are feeling! Our baby is sick and there is nothing we can do to help him. He is terminal (diagnosed at 2 and currently 3) and our only option is to keep him comfortable. Hank is in a stroller instead of walking, our house we have completely made disabled family for him and I love him everyday. I spend every minute with him I can so please don't tell me to remember he is a living beings. He is my baby, that your breeding hurt.

We are truly sorry for everything that Hank and your family are going through. We know how incredibly difficult it must be to see him suffer, and we can only imagine the emotional and financial burden this has placed on you and your family.
Hank’s condition is an extremely rare neurological disease that we have never encountered before in any of our dogs. His parents have always been healthy, and this is something that we could not have predicted. Despite our strict breeding practices and regular genetic testing, some conditions can still develop unexpectedly.
We’ve already informed our breeding expert about Hank’s case, and he’s reviewing the bloodline to make informed decisions moving forward. We are committed to learning from this situation and doing everything we can to reduce the risk of similar issues in the future.
We must also remember that we are working with living beings, and despite our best efforts and intentions, unforeseen health issues can still arise. Our dogs are like family to us, and their health and well-being are always our top priority, including Hank's. Please know that we are still here for you if you need anything at all.

Buy with caution.
We bought three from tom kings. 1st one died before he turned 3, 2nd is a female Aphrodite that has multiple health problems. The 3rd is a boy that has had 2 surgeries because the vet says because of inbreading. So buy with caution

We were devastated to hear the news about Louie back in 2024. He was clearly a deeply loved member of your family, and he was part of ours too. His passing was heartbreaking for all of us.
We never claim that our puppies will never have health issues. That wouldn’t be honest, and it’s something we clearly state in our health guarantee as well. What we do promise is that we screen all parent dogs for genetic conditions, follow strict and responsible breeding practices (we never inbreed), and raise every puppy with the greatest care. And when something goes wrong, we are always here to support our families.
We haven’t received any updates about Aphrodite or Milo since their arrival, so your review was the first time we heard they might be facing health challenges. In our health guarantee, we kindly ask all families to let us know immediately if any issue comes up, so we can help as soon as possible and guide you through the next steps. That’s the only way we can truly stand by your side when it matters most.

never received the paperwork on the dog as i paid extra.. i was told since they were located out of the country it takes longer with AKC but the dog came from Chicago hmmmmm almost a year later still no paper work... thread lightly

For our puppies to be able to travel, they must have all of their official paperwork prepared, so we can assure you that your dog’s documents were processed and sent from our side. Unfortunately, international mail and registration processes (like AKC) can sometimes be slower or things may get lost on the way, which might be what happened here.

We welcomed Sherman into our home 3 weeks ago. He is the most beautiful, affectionate, healthy, well behaved little boy. His disposition is truly remarkable. I can’t say enough about TomKings Puppies. The purchase process was seamless from start to finish. I was extremely impressed with the communication and attention to all details including flights to the USA, health records, training, and settling in at his new home. They sent pictures and videos of Sherman every 2 weeks so we could watch him grow. We are blessed to have found TomKings and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a Frenchie breeder.

Happy and healthy Frenchie. More information needed on how hard the few few days/weeks are
I received Zimba 3 weeks ago today. He is perfect in every way. Tom Kings has been wonderful throughout the process. The only negative is that I wish there would be more honest guidelines given about the first few days/weeks. It was very difficult emotionally. I would love to see a blog on this. I could help write it. The most important thing is that he is happy and healthy and I owe that to them.

We love our puppy!!!

Our dog trainor (with over 30 years of experience) commented that Nico’s breeder did an excellent job with him and we agree! Amazing support
We got a little girl 2 years ago she is silly, loves to cuddle, and lets me know when meal time is, she had her first litter of pups 8 in total, she’s a wonderful mother to her little ones. She has brought us so much joy, love into our lives. The team at tomkings were incredible from the very start they were so helpful helping us choose our little Mallory. I was a nervous wreck having a puppy come from so far away we’re in Canada, but the tomkings team were there every minute with us every step of the way, the support they showed us was incredible 5 stars isn’t enough for this amazing team.

We had a terrific experience from start to finish with Tom Kings and couldn’t be more grateful to have found them and been blessed with our new puppy! From the moment I sent in an inquiry about potentially adopting a Frenchie, all the members of the TK team were VERY communicative, explained everything thoroughly, answered all of my questions throughout the whole process, and ensured that we felt well informed, comfortable and secure in adopting our puppy and investing a not insignificant amount of money into their “product”. This was an EXTREMELY welcomed change of pace from the bottomless pit of scammers and puppy-mill breeders who have no ethics or morals, let alone any regard for the health and safety of the dogs. We are truly SO thankful to have found Tom Kings Kennel!!
We did have one slight hiccup about a month before we were set to receive our Frenchie here in the states in that unfortunately she had broken her leg during playtime with her siblings. However, within 24 hours of the incident, they had gotten her to the vet/surgeon, had the injury operated on to set and fix the bone, contacted us with all the details including pictures, before and after x-rays, a full report from the attending vet, a discharge plan and healing timeline, and a full detailed plan for her care and considerations for when we received her in the US. Obviously we were very sorry to hear about her accident and in all honesty somewhat worried about her prognosis and how it might affect her overall and long term health along with any associated additional costs. They were extremely understanding of our position and extra patient while we took time to consider the implications of her injury and to consult our personal vet on their opinion of how to best move forward and things to consider. We later spoke with the TK team to explain our thoughts and concerns about the situation and discussed how to best address things like potential additional expenses we might incur as a result of her injury (that we wouldn’t have if not for the accident). They were very receptive and understanding and quickly worked to come up with a solution that everyone could be happy with to ensure we felt confident and comfortable moving forward. We could NOT have asked for a better experience during the remainder of the waiting time, the healing process and ultimately our pickup from JFK.
From start to finish it was extremely apparent that everyone in the TK team puts an incredible amount of time, effort, energy, care and attention in not only the dogs themselves but the customer experience as well that is nothing short of impressive. I can’t say enough good things about the company and team as a whole and would recommend them to anyone and everyone I know who is in the market and looking to adopt a quality, purebred Frenchie puppy!
