I started working with Anand from ground zero — no pipeline, just a decision to move out of my current role. As a Senior PM with 7 years in fintech, I needed guidance specific to my profile, not one-size-fits-all advice — and that's exactly what he brought. I gave it 2 chances. (1) person was supposed to be senior MLE at FAANG, was late and rude, then cut the meeting and said we could reschedule. Then I never heard back. I got my money back, but I had an interview so this was a waste of time and demoralizing. (2) person gave me generic feedback I could have gotten from anyone without paying. Instead, I paid like 240 dollars?

The session was great cleared all of my doubts and got the roadmap which suits well with my current level

It was a highly insightful session. Some of the key insights I take back home are the following: 1. Keep asking shamelessly! 2. Drive for one focused role and create a strategy around it, or else it's like a boat without a driver in the mid-ocean. 3. Don't undersell yourself – be confident in your skills and pitch yourself in a manner that you are selling yourself as a product.

I had a very bad experience with this website. I lost approximately $2,700, and after that, my account was closed without a fair or satisfactory resolution.

Based on my personal experience, I strongly advise others to be extremely cautious before sending any money or relying on this platform. Keep copies of every payment confirmation, conversation, invoice, and transaction reference.

If you believe you have been affected, contact your bank or payment provider immediately and ask them to review the transaction. The transaction details received by customers may help identify the receiving bank or payment intermediary and support a formal complaint or dispute.

A lot of payment withdrawal and client booking issue nowadays.

I paid €302 for a service listed as "Video meeting · 120 mins" — a live 1:1 mentorship session. What I received was a link to a pre-recorded video sent over WhatsApp. The seller never showed up for any call.

When I contacted Topmate support, my dispute was auto-routed directly to the seller, who marked the session as "completed" and declined the refund herself. Topmate then closed my ticket on that basis. When I pushed back, they reopened it, promised a "human review by the Trust & Safety team," and then simply relayed the seller's decision again. The refund was denied because "the expert declined it" — the expert being the person I was disputing.

Topmate's dispute process is not independent. The seller controls the outcome of complaints filed against them. There is no real buyer protection here.

If you are considering purchasing a high-ticket service on this platform, know that if something goes wrong, you are on your own.

Very disappointing experience with Topmate.

I booked and paid for a 30-minute mentoring session because I had Assessment the next day and needed urgent preparation guidance.

Right before the session, the mentor rescheduled with the vague reason “something came up.” I immediately reached out requesting even a short 10–15 minute discussion due to the urgency, but received no response at all.

As a paying customer, this felt extremely unprofessional and inconsiderate of the other person’s time and preparation needs. If mentors are unavailable, sessions should not be accepted in the first place.

I then had to contact support myself to request a refund, and was informed it would take 7 days to process — despite the session never happening.

Overall, poor communication, poor reliability, and a frustrating experience for something that was time-sensitive and career-related.

Book an expert but he did not showed up and support team is another shit, you will get reply from bot and auto resolved, at least refund it.
currently its been 24 days and still awaiting my refund that they said you will get in 5-7 working days.
