Semyon, Manuel and the whole team at Touchdown have been great. NHR 2.0 and the whole regulatory environment in Portugal is really complex, but they helped me quickly understand my circumstances.

They made the process of setting up a company very easy. Management of the day-to-day is so much better than my past experience with accountants in Portugal, we have a Whatsapp group with my accountant making who is always accessible and responsive.

Definitely recommend!

I came to Portugal on D8 visa. Spoke to many tax lawyers for consultations and Touchdown stood out for their amazing communication, response time and pricing. My initial consultation was Semyon who i felt had a similar journey as an expat and understood my pain points very well.

Then i worked with Manuel who explained me my tax burden in detail, my options in tax regimes, along with actual financial simulation. His understanding is superb. He helped to setup a Portuguese entity, apply for NHR 2.0 and now am doing business and personal accounting with their accountant as well. The whole process was smooth, professional and with clear breakdown of steps. I am not approved yet for NHR 2.0 yet but it’s also related to Portugal tax authorities response time on IFICI applications. I liked that they were honest about current approval rates and processing times.

Overall i would highly recommend them especially for English speaking expats. They help in other services as well as per their on NIF, NISS and AIMA appointments. Rate: 10/10.

Great experiences so far - the team is quick, direct, and gets things done. They helped us get NISS documents, translations, and more.

They lured me into paying a €225 consultation fee when I wasn't even eligible for what they were suggesting was the best route for me. Their policy of 'get your money back if you didn't get any value' is not relevant because they are the ones who decide if you received value or not. There are a couple of other good tax advisories in Lisbon who don't charge ANY fee, let alone €225 for a consultation. Ask group chats/your network and DON'T use this company.

Other companies that look professional had a ton of hidden fees and terrible websites.
