I’ve had nothing but problems with Tower Loan and will be reporting them to the BBB and credit bureaus for their unethical behavior.

Last year, I submitted a direct deposit form in person. Not only did they fail to process it, but I was later aggressively contacted by a rude employee accusing me of non-payment. Only after presenting clear evidence of their negligence did they finally correct the error — no apology, no accountability.

This year, I scheduled a loan payoff with them — again, they failed to process it. Over the last six months, I received multiple calls and letters, but not a single one about resolving the outstanding balance. Instead, they repeatedly tried to push new loans on me. Now, over $200 in interest has piled up, and they refuse to honor the original payoff amount, even though the error was entirely on their end.

Tower Loan is disorganized, deceptive, and preys on vulnerable borrowers with shady practices. Stay far away.

I cannot stress enough how horrible my experience has been with Tower Loan. I would rather do business with anybody other than them. I don't know if I just happen to have the one local/district/regional manager, but I have never been treated with such disrespect. All I wanted to do was set up automatic payments. I wanted to create an online profile to access my account. That's it. The portal told me my account number was invalid, when it wasn't. That's what started it. I couldn't see my account. They attempted to take my payment, then said there was insufficient funds. That was incorrect.

When I called the customer service number to discuss this, I was screamed at on the phone by one employee at the local branch. To her credit, I was very upset as well. I couldn't find help. Then, I wrote a review about it and was contacted. Long story short, after having to drive 30+ miles to the closest branch to prove, with bank statements, that I had the money in my account on the day they tried to take it out, then said I had insufficient funds, they said too bad. They messed up, and I was punished. Now, I couldn't make payments online or even over the phone, I had to make my 3 consecutive payments in person....Well, now I have to make them over the phone because, I was told by one employee over the phone, that the local "manager" said that he gave me a chance once, now I'm on my own. Whatever, currently, I've just been waiting for them to call me on my due date, and make my payments ON TIME over the phone because they will not allow me access to my account online.

None of this is made up. This is actually how they do business and treat their customers. A few of the local employees are actually good people who seemed somewhat ashamed of how Tower Loans was treating me, and let me know their personal opinions about what was happening. I don't blame them nor will I ever get them in trouble. They actually tried to help me, but their hands seemed to be tied by their "managers" or the Tower Loans policy, I can only imagine.

I almost never write reviews, but I will shout from the mountain tops my opinion and experiences with Tower Loan. How do you do half a star? That would just be for the few local employees who at least halfway tried.

Edit: It doesn't surprise me that you took the time to reply but completely miss the point. I. Never. Had. Insufficient. Funds. I brought my bank statements to your local office and proved it and was basically met with a shrug...eh. They said what's done is done even though it was YOUR mistake, I cant pay online or see any of my account information online for 12 months. Thank you for yet another unhelpful reply, typical.

Great service and understanding

It’s extremely helpful and answer your questions and explain all the details about their service. I would recommend this to anyone who needs help and they do understand. I just want to say thank you to Mr. Josei who was helping me and thank you for the His Boss.
