In the days leading up to our move, the receipt of confirmation calls demonstrated a commendable level of organization and reassurance. On the day of the move, the crew led by team leader Alfonso whose leadership skills were second to none arrived at our residence exhibited exemplary professionalism. They meticulously handled the loading of our belongings, ensuring that each item was treated with the utmost care and securely prepared for transit. These jerks refuse to leave me alone. I dont even know how they got my number. I've already moved and they just keep texting and calling to try to sell me their services. It is very annoying.

Transit Moving Systems helped me relocate last week, and they kept things organized from start to finish. The crew stayed calm even when the elevator stopped working, and they just adjusted without complaining. It made a stressful day feel manageable.

Use Anyone Else, hustlers and scammers. You have been warned!!! Ended up charging us an additional $4,000 on top of estimate and our items showed up 17 days late. They don't even have movers, this is a broker that will pick the cheapest option available to move your items and will not communicate through the whole process.

Transit Moving Systems got our items from point A to point B, but otherwise the entire process was disappointing -

1. We paid much more than the original estimate: the company gives you an original estimate based on an inventory of furniture. We removed several large items of furniture from the move but still ended up paying more because the company charges you on cubic feet of volume, which they keep intentionally low in the estimate
2. Items left behind and no walkthrough: The moving crew arrived late, finished late, and was in such a rush by the end that they left a car’s worth of items behind that we then had to manage
3. Terrible communication and customer service: We interacted with four distinct individuals throughout the move. It was never clear who was in charge and who would take ownership. Their team did not communicate internally, so we would share information with one when they called, which would then be news to another a week later. And despite persistent complaints, they never made an effort to resolve issues they created. Instead, most conversations resulted in them threatening increased fees because of the nebulous contract they forced us to sign
4. Items arrived almost a week later: There is no effort whatsoever to meet your intended delivery date. Our items arrived almost a week late, and only after persistent nudging on our part and communicating directly with the driver (who is a contractor). This makes planning very difficult. We secured a parking permit for the moving truck from the city for the specific delivery date we intended (at the instruction of Transit Moving), only to then be told by Transit Moving they would not meet that date, so we lost $300+.
5. Hidden shuttling fees: They present a ‘shuttling fee’ of $1/cubic foot as a potential in the estimate, but really they are counting on it. Despite not advertising this, they perform cross country moves in a semi truck regardless of how many things you have, so they always plan to charge you the shuttling fee.
6. Broken items: Several items arrived broken, scuffed, or otherwise damaged.

To top it off, now one of their employees has reached out personally asking for money to bail him out of a personal crisis. I strongly advise finding a different moving company!!

Do not use this company. I left a great review in February or March of this year, 2025, however after the fact I have found some of my furniture damaged, however that is not the worst part. Several months later an employee used one of the phones to contact me and requested money from me. I actually helped him because he was down on his luck, it happened a second time and I am embarrassed to say a third time with the promise that he had a bonus that week and would reimburse me everything. Well, as you can assume, I was taken for a ride. Please don’t get scammed like I did!!!! I am soft hearted but it breaks my heart to think of people like my mother and others that could be scammed by a company or an employee that works for this company. Don’t fall for this like I did!!!!

Transit Moving Systems did a great job with my move. The team was on time, careful with my things, and very professional. Everything arrived safely and as planned. I’m happy with their service and would recommend them.

Avoid Transit Moving Systems at all costs. This was such a poor moving experience. Believe the 1 star reviews.

Final Update (bc I am done with them): Received another text offering a new refund amount. Then received a call from Mike trying to gaslight me with his version of events. Then he asked if I could take down the reviews or revise them. Said I’d get the refund either way. My response was that I would consider it. And guess what, still no refund.

Update: On Wednesday, July 2 I requested info for the claim department. Never received it. Heard back from the salesperson, Mike Miranda, on Thursday, July 3 and he claimed he went to the general manager to get a partial refund approved and agreed to issue a partial refund. It is now Tuesday, July 8 and still getting the run around about the refund - best rate, holiday weekend, needs approval, etc. Now the narrative is that the messages weren’t meant for me and I will be hearing from from the business department within 24-48 hours. It’s interesting they want certified funds on sight but getting my money back is a whole process.

From the beginning, they were dishonest. They claim not to be brokers, yet the move was clearly handled by a rotating cast of random third-party contractors. Every stage—pickup, transport, and delivery—involved different, uncoordinated people who clearly weren't part of the same company. Communication between them was nonexistent, which led to confusion, delays, and a complete lack of accountability.

They promised a three day delivery but ended up taking over a week - without any meaningful updates or apologies. I took time off work and rearranged my schedule based on their timeline, only to be left waiting, guessing, and sleeping on the floor.

Then came the upcharges and hidden fees. What started as a reasonably quoted move turned into hundreds more than expected. They tacked on charges for stairs, elevator use, extra materials, and even something they called a long haul fee that was never disclosed up front. I had a handful of stuff but they show up in a semi and then try to charge me for having to park on the sidewalk. Girl. The price kept increasing, and by the time I got my things back, I felt completely taken advantage of.

To make matters worse, several items arrived damaged—some clearly mishandled, others poorly packed or stacked. Of course, no one took responsibility. Customer service is not their main priority. They don’t want your feedback but want you to accept their excuses. They hung up on me, btw.

This company relies on deceptive practices, subcontracting, and surprise charges to make a profit. If you value your time, money, and belongings, do yourself a favor and stay far away from Transit Moving Systems.

This is not a good company. I'll start with this, they did get my stuff up where I needed it to go and the subs that they hired at our destination were phenomenal. That's about all the positives.

The sales guy of course acts like you're best friends but once you sign you won't hear from them again. They came and did a walking estimate on our stuff, did the inventory themselves and gave me a "guaranteed" rate. Moving day came and like magic, they under bid the amount we had so they charged an additional 10% which is the most they can legally charge because of a government regulation. Move out was actually mostly smooth except we have a one of a kind dining room table that has legs that were custom made and installed that aren't detachable. They recklessly tried to tip it over and broke a leg off, and then as they were packing it up broke a second leg off. I saw it in the truck with 2 legs still attached but when it arrived at our house the two remaining legs had gotten taken off as well. Completely unprofessional job with that.

The most frustrating part of this move was the bad communication though, we were supposed to move on April 28th, they give a two day window and actually said it was going to be the 29th which was fine. But on the afternoon of the 28th I get a call that they're actually going to be here on the 30th and that the initial two day window was the 29th-30th. I had a nice conversation with them and to their credit they did fix it and showed up on the 29th. But then delivery to the new house showed up a week after it was supposed to be delivered so we had a week in the new house without stuff and their customer service department basically told me to deal with it and according to their contract they have up to 21 days to get it to you. No solution, just waving the contract you signed in your face saying we'll do what we want.

And their insurance is a third party with the same type of policy, we still have a broken table 2 months after the move because they have up to 120 days to fix the problem.

I had petty reasonable expectations, I know moving is tough, there's a reason you hire a company. A few things broken here and there are expected. But the deliberate destruction of a very nice table and poor communication without any care in the world about your experience make this company truly a nightmare to work with.

Beware!! I wish I could leave no stars. Let me emphasize the good reviews you are seeing are from people they have a discount to and accounts I believe they set up themselves. These people are thieves!! Lost 6 boxes of valuables that just disappeared and they have no idea where they went. How do you load items to a truck and buy the time they get to the destination 6 boxes are missing and only the valuables. One of the boxes were not mine and were filled with rocks! No accountability the insurance they offer is also a scam. The “good” reviews are only because they offer a discount in exchange for it. The price they charge upfront will change multiple times and in the end you owe thousands more. I’m sick to my stomach with this situation. They need to be shut down and all their employees arrested. The incompetence, the scamming, the disrespect. I’m truly disgusted. Please please please do yourself a favor and choose any other moving company than this one!!!
