This was a wonderful trip. Staff at both hotels was very helpful. Our guides were very good and could answer all our questions. The sites that we saw were fabulous.

Our initial contact with Travel All Russia was through our agent Phil Garynov and who was excellent. He represented the company professionally, paying close attention to detail and responding quickly to all questions/concerns. The cruise reflected this standard with 5 star hotels and excellent tour guides in St. Petersburg and Moscow, friendly and efficient cruise staff and the boat itself which was comfortable, clean and well maintained. The food and entertainment onboard were great and we felt the time onboard went too quickly.

Visited Moscow and St Petersburg. Every day was the best, not any bad days. The hotels were beautiful and the staff were very pleasant and attentive to every need. The tour guides were fluent in english and very knowledgeable of Russian history. They were just like one of the group.

Positives -
Logistics - really appreciated your company handling the Visa application, all transfers (airports, to/from excursions, Golden Ring travel), Everything was on time and well organized
Hotels - all were excellent, rooms as promised, and excellent breakfasts.
Guides - all 3 were different, but all 3 were very good. I especially enjoyed hearing their personal experiences of growing up in Russia
Tours - your company made reservations, so we were able to skip the lines in some of the tours (i.e. the Hermitage).

Suggestions -
Pay toilets - most/all of the WC’s on our way out to Suzdol cost 10-20 Rubles. Given that it was our first day, none of us had coins, and we were all scrambling to make change. I’d recommend that you just supply the guide with money to pay for us all, and not (literally) nickel and dime the clients to use the WC.
Lunch Breaks - not sure if feasible, and glad to have had hearty breakfasts, but most of the days we are on the go until well past 2pm. I packed snack bars, and made it, but some of the older people in our group really could have used 20 minutes to eat, or rest (or both).

Summary -
I thought the trip represented excellent value. We usually don’t take guided tours, but felt it was necessary here. The hotels, guides, tours, transfers, breakfasts and services were all first class, and would have been very difficult to replicate “a la carte.” We had Americans, Canadians, and Aussies ranging 10-20 years age difference, and I think we all would recommend your company to others.

A well planned trip with great guides, drivers and hotels.

Both of our tour guides were very knowledgeable and friendly, especially Alexi in Moscow.
The tour was heavy on Churches and Museums, which are everywhere in Russia.

We loved the trip that was arranged for us by Firebird Tours to Stockholm and Norway. We decided to go as a family having an age range from 80 to 25 years of age. Having 6 people precluded us from renting an average car to drive ourselves but we didn't want to go as part of a large tour bus trip. A private tour with Firebird was the perfect solution for our group. They took all our travel needs into consideration and worked with us on each step to help us get to the areas that we wanted to see. They also made suggestions of areas and things to do that we thoroughly enjoyed. The drivers for Firebird were always there (like clockwork) when they were supposed to be and the tour guides in various cities were always very knowledgeable (they were locals), interesting, and kind to us. We worked with Sim initially and had plenty of questions for him which he always got back to us and answered. No major glitches at all on our trip. We just wish we had more time in many of these areas.

Everything was top of the line. Beyond my expectations. I loved all the free time mixed in with the tours. The hotels were amazing. Looking forward to planning my next trip with them.

Let me say that we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Everything went well. There were a couple of hiccups but nothing that resulted in any disasters. I must commend your help desk in Russia. They were truly first rate. We had two issues where we had to involve them. First our plane to Beijing was delayed because of thunderstorms and we were put on a later flight. A call to the help desk resulted in a change to our pickup time and everything was seamless. There was a problem in Lithuania where the driver who came to pick us up from Trakai thought he was taking people to the airport, not the bus station. He also didn't have our names or a sign regarding Firebird Tours. Again, a call to the help desk got him sorted out and we got on our way, arriving with a few minutes to spare at the bus station.
We found that with the exception of this issue all the local guides and transport were good. The guides were informative and the drivers courteous and on time. We particularly like our Mongolian guide and driver, so much so that we intend to go back to Mongolia in the next couple of years.
The train journeys were good. We're pleased that we took cups, tea bags and soup packs because the food in general on the trains was not great (and on the Mongolian train there was no dining car). Our carriage attendant on the Irkutsk-Moscow section was very good, keeping us informed about the length of stops so we could get off for a walk. The border crossings were an experience - in fact four different experiences!
We're also pleased that we booked first class compartments, as we then didn't have people joining in the middle of the night like some of our fellow passengers.
The Baltic States were a revelation to us. We really enjoyed them and have recommended to our friends that they put them on their list. They were all different to one another, but also had a similar feel.

All in all Evelina, we had a marvellous time. We have told our friends about it, and we praised your organisation and the activities you included for us - even the horse riding was enjoyable. We have recommended your company to any of our friends who have expressed interest in doing something similar (including those who might just want to go to Russia and/or the Baltic States).

My husband and I enjoyed an amazing trip with Travel All Russia which included time in both Moscow and St. Petersburg and on a river cruise on the Volga Dream. Our hotel in Moscow was first rate in a key location within walking distance from the Kremlin and Red Square. Our hotel in St. Petersburg was across from the Hermitage and many sights were also within walking distance. Our itinerary for the entire trip included everything a person would want to see. Our guides were knowledgeable and personable. We typically traveled in small groups that were limited to 15. A professor was on board the Volga Dream and presented us with a number of lectures that helped us to have a better understanding of Russia. She circulated well with the passengers and sat at our dinner table on several different occasions and enthusiastically answered all of our questions. All of the crew members were very personable and we felt like they became our friends. We had a number of different cultural events which included a tea ceremony, vodka tasting, a piano concert with excerpts from Russia composers, and a presentation about Russian crafts. We even had a nesting doll painting contest (which I won). Our food was outstanding both in presentation and flavor. I would recommend this recommend this trip to anyone interested in experiencing Russia.

My husband and I are independent travelers who plan our own trips to make sure we are getting the cultural experience and maximizing our time while traveling abroad. With both of us getting new jobs and moving cross country, we decided to get help with Firebird Tours to help with logistics of our Norway/Denmark vacation. We used Firebirds to book a private tour (no groups) which consisted of booking all travel (train, ferry, private drivers), hotels, and excursions such as kayaking, and a glacier hike. Overall, Firebirds did a good job with the communication as we were planning the trip and the hotel accommodations were great choices. We had one hiccup on our trip (one driver did not show) but we called Firebird and they took care of it immediately. Although their services are a little pricey, I am confident time is money and they would provide a great group tour or help specialize your private tour the way you want it.

From the very beginning of this experience, service was exceptional. When we decided to reverse the trip from St. Petersburg to Moscow, our agent helped us. When we wanted specific places to lunch, that was added. Additional theatre experiences with drivers to and from were added. The guides in each city were knowledgable, friendly and gave personalized experiences when requested. I really can't say enough about the high quality of each step including hotels and breakfasts.
We really loved this trip and was indeed worthy of our 35th wedding anniversary!. Thank-you, Sim!

We absolutely loved our trip. Everything was great , from being picked up at the airport, to the planned excursions. Our tour guides, Elena in Moscow and Julia in St. Petersburg were professional, knowledgeable and kind.

The people at Travel All Russia were Great! From helping with the Visas to answering all the questions of a nervous traveler.

The staff at the Travel All Russia (TAR) are efficient, helpful and friendly that includes both the Visa & Logistics teams as well as Aiste who booked our tour and our side trip to Kizhi Island.

We really like their small group concept as you get more attention and better connection with your tour guide and the people in your group. The hotel choices were great and they were in good & convenient location. The included meals were "routine" but decent. The coach/van was clean and comfortable. The tour guides in the Golden Ring and Moscow were wonderful (good fluent English, knowledgeable and helpful) but unfortunately not so much in St. Petersburg. We spoke with a few people who were in another TAR groups and they had the same experience.

The daily tour usually from 9 to 3:30 pm, and wish that it can be 1/2 to an hour longer so that there would be more time for lunch and hang around at the attraction site. In St. Petersburg, we were taken back to our hotel around 2:00 pm 1 to 1.5 hrs earlier than the scheduled time on the itinerary.

One of the attractions we visited in Moscow was the Novodevichy Cemetery which we felt the time spent in there was a little too long.

It was an amazing experience booking and travelling with Travel all Russia, as well as seeing the country and its culture.

Great trip. Great xperience.

First time with Travel All Russia and service was great. Our contact persons were very responsive and helpful. The guides were very informative and knowledgeable. Overall, we had a great trip. Only suggestion would be to change the use of Taleon Imperial hotel in St P to a newer hotel.

From Ben and the crew at Travel All Russia to our great tour guides in Moscow and Saint Petersburg, our travel experience to Russia was one of the best trips my wife and I have taken. All the details of obtaining Russian visas were handled for us (and I hear that is no small feat). Our transport to and from the airports in Russia were punctual. The hotels were centrally located. Our guides were very knowledgeable and pleasant. Everything went like clockwork without a single miscue. We had a great bunch of fellow travel companions and even the weather cooperated. Five stars!!!

This was our first time using Firebird Tour for the trip to Denmark, Norway and Finland. Overall, our trip was very excited and almost perfect.
Almost perfect, cause we brought too many luggage and had to drag them through planes, trains and ferries. It wasn't a good sight :)
We enjoyed the itinerary Firebird put together as a private tour for the two of us. Everything was taking care of as planned.
There were places that we wouldn't care for a one night stay and there were places that we wished we stayed a little longer and would probably go back.
We didn't really care for Finland, Denmark was great but Norway was so amazing.
We would use Firebird again in the future should we need to go back to Europe.
Remember to ask for Sim Uzkuraitis. He's very pleasant to work with and he's going out of his way to help you with your travel needs.

I planned my tour with a very kind and clever girl named Monika. She organized for as the tour we wanted taking care of all the things we would like to see but also choosing a driver and a guide veri but very nice.
The tour balanced very well the time devoted to visits, lunches and dinners.
All the hotels were fine.
