Exchequer pub amazing good food cheap drinks highly recommend

Customer Service - initially a bit patronising "don't panic" when I said railcard wouldn't link to Traveline app. Interrupted me before I could answer, asked to allow me to speak then interrupted again! Then cut me off as I no doubt sounded annoyed!

Told us to walk 10 minutes from bus stop I was at to a housing estate. So we ordered an Uber. Whilst waiting 2 buses drove past the stop we were already at going to the location we wanted.

Not a good service. Find another way to look up bus routes.

Called Traveline Rotherham and was number 4 in the queue, 53 minutes and 39 seconds later I was number 2 in the queue. I hung up. What an absolute disgraceful this service is!!! Shocking!!!

Incompetent & rude customer service, charged me for a call. Which I enquired about bus timetables before. They gave me the wrong information. I believe these people are scam artists who DELIBERATELY give customers the wrong information so you end up being charged for the calls. They just want your money, they simply don’t care. They couldn’t give a monkeys if you end up being charged. Despite me passing on feedback to ask to change there number to either 0345 or 0800. I would advise only call up these people unless you are absolutely desperate.

I have used Traveline Northeast extensively in the last few weeks whilst on holiday and have nothing but praise for their service and customer attitude. It was a pleasure to leave the car parked and use the excellent service provided by this company from Alnwick to Eyemouth and stops in between. The drivers were very helpful, the buses on time and the journeys comfortable. We even flagged one bus down mid-stop (we didn't know where the official stop was) and the female driver politely informed us of the correct bus stop but was still happy to assist us to get to our destination. Great company, super staff - well done Traveline!

How can your buses be so fuckng late everytime. Some days buses don’t even fuckng show up, sort your 5hit out u dumb fuckng company

Arriva have cut so many buses from my local area and the last one of the day (at 3:50 in the afternoon, for goodness sake!!) apparently wasn’t going to bother to show up, so I called traveline to help me get home. I was clearly upset and panicking because I’m autistic and have an anxiety disorder, the woman who took my call put the phone down on me, leaving me in tears, and then I couldn’t get through again after I’d calmed down enough to use my phone.
It’s disgusting and absolutely not okay to treat people like this!

Have just wasted a hour trying to find a bus route from my hotel to the V&A in Dundee. The map is a catastrophe, the information given is very sparse, very unclear, the site is very unwieldy, the destinations offered to a search are hilarious. The timetable information is secretive and I am left wondering should I scrap my trip to Dundee.

I have not taken public transport in about 2 years however today I decided to get a bus I was at the bus stop 10 minutes before it was due and I waited for 15-minutes after up this you know bus absolutely shocking no wonder I don't use public transport

I phoned to find details (where a bus stopped) for a bus route in our town. It became clear that the lady I spoke to had no different information than I had already found online. I eventually gave up. However when my phone bill arrived I found that the call, lasting just over 15 minutes, had cost me £3.84, for no benefit. I will not use Traveline again.

Decided to give a bad review everytime my bus the 472/474 is late in the bury area as it's late so much its impossible to plan timing and routes. Sometimes the bus will not come either and timings seem to just be made up. I will only leave a bad review when 10+ late to be fair. Was 14mins late today so got a taxi to work instead

I have been using Traveline East Midlands on a regular basis for many years, and I find it to be a very powerful search engine.
It allows me to plan journeys over a much greater area than just the east midlands in great detail by giving several options.
I have tried Traveline for other regions, but none are as comprehensive as the east midlands site.
Keep up the good work!

Just called in to verify bus times and the lady did not know anything. When I asked about a scheduled bus, she said I presume it should be on time. What's the point in having traveline? I presume its on time as well. Not helpful at all. And then she hung up on me as well.

Many years ago I found out the hard way (after using the East Midlands site) that Traveline is not always up date, but that may well be because transport operators fail to inform them of changes so I agree with another reviewer who advises to always cross reference with bus timetables.

However, recently I was checking their Scotland site with a view to attending a funeral on the isle of Unst, the most northerly Shetland isle with a view to attending a family funeral at short notice.

As I don't drive, and a lift wasn't an option, taxis VERY expensive and I needed to be able rely on them 100%, I was heavily reliant on the buses (it's something like 60 miles from Lerwick - where the ferry would drop me - to Unst) and therefore I was relying on Traveline for my initial research.

When I entered the time, date and journey into Traveline, I found the journey planner unhelpful. I got a message to the effect that there were no journeys whereas if I had been advised to try a different time and/or date I would have found bus services. I did check the bus timetables but these were not helpful as they are designed with locals in mind (you need to know locations of obscure places to use them).

The result from Traveline was instrumental in my decision not to travel to the funeral, which I deeply regret.

When I went on their site just now to feed this back to them, the customer service email had been removed (though the text not updated to reflect this - though better than sending email and getting no response). Just about sums it up....

Found this Company very unhelpful, not very patient and understanding, wasn't listening to what I was saying and was getting very irritated with me....worst customer service I have ever experienced. Even the Timetables were not coming up on the site. :( I've since walked to the Bus Stop myself, in the pouring rain, just to find out the times and information for myself...thanks for nothing 'Traveline!'

Reported a bus that didn't run on the day chosen (and hasn't done for a couple of years). All the train times and bus times that were reported were wrong. Had to wait 1.5 hours for a train because it was incorrect on this system.

Don't rely on Traveline results for bus journeys. The results are often out of date.
By all means use Traveline to check out a journey but once you've found a service that appears to suit your needs ALWAYS check the bus company's own website. Even that's not infallible, a recent trip to a remote part of Scotland the published bus service hadn't run for 2 years. An expensive taxi journey was the only way round.

I first used this site about 5 years ago and haven't stopped yet. It is easy to use and always gives out great info like time tables and updates about delays.

A must if you’re planning to go some were on public transport and want to find the best route to do it.
