The guides made the difference. Having a French guide in France who was a local was a game changer. The bikes are top notch. The cultural experiences were great

My husband and I went on the Trek bike trip in Germany and Austria. The trip was perfect in every way! I loved my e-bike, so much so, that I bought one like it when I got home! The number of miles and amount of elevation each day were just right for me. The views while riding were spectacular! Our guides kept track of us, but we also had a gps device with the map of the day’s route just in case. Our guides were friendly, fun, and very knowledgeable of the area.

The meals that were included were very good, and the hotels (2 different ones) were top notch. We could walk to the downtown areas for dinner on our own on the nights that dinner was not included. I particularly loved the Das Konig Ludwig Hotel! I would come back just to stay here!! It had several pools (indoor, outdoor, natural pool, and a jacuzzi pool), a spa, and an amazing view of the mountains! My only complaint is that temperatures were hotter than normal, and this hotel did not have A/C in the rooms, only in the common areas.

We enjoyed the side excursions, particularly the Neuschwanstein Castle.
The tour of the castle was very interesting, and it is just beautiful inside!

My only complaint is that at the end of the tour, our choices for the shuttle were to either be dropped off at a nearby train station or driven to Innsbruck (about 2 hours away). We were going to Munich, so we had to navigate the train schedule, which was a little confusing and nerve racking! We did just so happen to have one of our guides there who was also going to Munich and who was able to help us. However, since our guides picked us up at the start of the trip in Munich, it would be nice if they returned us to Munich.

Overall, I would highly recommend this trip to bicycle lovers! Definitely worth the price. I give it an A+. 😍

What an amazing trip in Norway! Our amazing guides, our beautiful accommodations , and fantastic food. I have some memories I will cherish always. We made new friends! Camilla and Carolina were awesome!

The trip was as expected and anticipated. Good advertising. Also, it was recommended by Bev from the Santa Barbara ride, so we had a good intro going into the adventure.

Guides were superior.
At first, I was not a fan of Aaron, but then he helped me one day understand aspects of the bike and how to approach the ride. It helped significantly and made the rest of the week so much more everything! It was the ice-breaker that I needed with him.
Sammy is just funny and a good one to serve as the leader. One criticism is that he needs to learn to draw out the participants into the conversation. The cyclists tend to focus on the guide experiences, but we need to get to know the others better too. He is a good leader who can make that happen.

The food - that was an issue for some of us. We put our preferences and allergy concerns on the sheets. The guides were understanding and tried to comply with the meals they had control.
However, the inns and restaurants were not compliant. They did not understand cross-contamination at all - especially on Orcas. The crab boil was a disaster for us. I cannot eat meat, and the sausage was cooked with the boil. I did not have a chance to extract my corn or potatoes before it was dumped into the boil. The vegetarian option was unsatisfactory as a substitute. This is a major area to improve. Somehow, the restaurant needs to supply the substitute to the guides so that the cyclist can validate that it will be ok. The woman leading the meal was very rude and uncaring. This was the final dinner and should have been a highlight.

Why not use the garden for the social before the final meal - it is beautiful and secluded. Not like the park that we already had time to explore. Small suggestion - survey the wine preference before the social (I felt bad for Aaron with our group of red wine drinkers).

Also, I love the pictures from the guides, but there were often pictures that I wanted from other cyclists. Trying to send each other stuff was very cumbersome with limited connectivity, and besides, the idea is to enjoy the experience. Take care of uploading photos when chilling at night. Can't there be a group site for us to upload and download from as we like? Other companies use a 30-day SmugMug or something similar to share.

Beautiful views with a great variety of gravel road conditions combined with extremely knowledgable guides made for an exceptional week.

The routes were great. The accommodations and food were excellent. The guides are amazing with their support and guidance. It’s 6 days of bliss!

The whole experience was amazing! The bikes were great; the guides were awesome; the accommodation was beautiful; the rides were epic.

This is like a cruise on wheels! Our guides' attention to detail allowed us to focus on the best part of the trip: amazing rides and amazing scenery. We were kept informed every step of the way from initial booking to our final descent. I can't wait to do it again!

From the minute we met our guide to kick off the trip to the final wave goodbye, this trip was incredible from start to finish. Our guide was helpful, knowledgeable, and accommodating. The itinerary was perfect, balancing hiking with time to explore on your own. Would highly recommend it to anyone who asks!

This was my first Trek Travel trip and every step of the experience was perfect. Communication and attention to detail were awesome. We had so much fun and didn't have to worry about anything. We are definitely planning another trip soon.

The trip was well planned.
The guides were excellent - they knew the route, were well prepared and most friendly,

The accommodation was comfortable as expected.

In regards to the booking process I was most disappointed with the language Rachel used in her communications with me.

Considering the fact that I road CtoC USA in 2013, Provence in 2014, Utah in 2015, Down the Danube and then the Rhine in 2017 and organised 14 riders for a private across Italy in 2023 I found her choice of words condescending, arrogant and rude in relation to explaining that my wife was simply not welcome to appear at any time during the 10 days.

To be clear Helen had her own car, has several University degrees in geography and extremely is well travelled over the last 50 years. She also road with me in Provence, Utah and down the rivers.

We booked separate rooms in Sort and Costa Brave but was unable to do so in Hondaribbia as the hotel was full. Rachel did agree to allow Helen to share the Hondaribbia room as a special favour which we thought was ridiculous considering we had already paid for the room in advance.

We released our Trek prepaid room back to Trek in Sort of Costa Brava not wanting payment and paid for our rooms separately.

To David Sances credit he did try very hard to include Helen on a couple of occasions when we had a separate a room from the Trek room at Hotel Pessets and Hotel San Jorge but the damage had been done by Rachel weeks prior.

As I explained to David Sances the memory of this TrekTravel fiasco will stay with us for many years to come despite Josh and his excellent support of my efforts to finish the ride.

Trek Travel was incredible from start to finish. The guides, routes, accommodations, and attention to detail were all fantastic, which made the whole trip feel effortless and so much fun!

The guides were great and the meals and accommodations were excellent.

The guides are awesome. This is the second trip I have taken. I love the bikes, they fit a 5 ft women very well.
We stay in very nice places, eat in very nice restaurants and view lots of great scenery. Everything is VERY well organized and lots of options for riding. I will do another one for sure.

Our best endorsement: this is our 3rd trip with Trek Travel in Europe -- always well planned, well communicated with travelers, well supported on site(s), well executed. Trek venues and tour guides are amazing. We will continue to ride and explore the world with Trek Travel.
