We have bought sky watcher and a tripot from that company. Initially I could not apply the welcome coupon but when we eventually got in hold of the shop the customer support person was very helpful.
We have ordered that product and next day it was with us.

Do not use this company. They sent me broken binoculars then when I called them ignored then made jokes about it. Please do not use this scam place for your equipment. ABSOLUTE MESS OF A BUISNESS STAY AWAY SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE

Didn't even bother to reply to my item availability query when I emailed & then left a voicemail . Very poor customer service.

Ordered a telescope and tripod, the service from Neil at Tring was excellent, our order arrived quickly and was packed really well. I would highly recommend Tring Astronomy Centre.

Tring were so helpful. I broke the corrector plate on my 8SE.

They were so sympathetic and located the part for me and then I sent the optical tube to them via UPS. It arrived there on the Tuesday and on Wednesday called to say it had been done.

Collected it and it was perfect. I am so happy. The trust element is solid with them now. They will be my go to when I need anything for my hobby.

I brought a pair of binoculars,they cost over £500 a few years ago,the service was amazing. However one of the lens cracked, on them recently ,I sent a message 5 days ago and heard nothing back. No wonder the high street is dying.I brought locally to support a small businees. Lesson learnt.

They've provided me with great service in the past, they were able to get me a Star Tracker in the height of the pandemic last year, and this year they were able to get me an ASI 224MC, which was otherwise out of stock at different stores. In good time too as Jupiter is closely reaching opposition. Sadly, they couldn't guarantee me clear skies, however I'll forgive this for the very quick to answer enquiries, and deliveries.

Would 100% recommend this store for new astronomers, wishing to dip their toes into this humbling and character-building hobby. However, the best way to experience astronomy, is by ensuring you have the right equipment that is appropriate for your skill level by making the right purchase! and this store will guarantee that,

Very disappointed. I am looking for a telescope and wanted advice before making a purchase - plus I very much want to support local business at this difficult time.

I understand that the showroom is closed due to covid so as advised on their website, I have tried calling, emailing and chatting via their website but all of my attempts at communicating with them have been ignored over the last week.

I can only conclude that they either don't want my business or have become a victim of Covid 19 and its related economic circumstances. Such a shame.

I wanted to buy an explore scientific 14mm eyepiece, shown as in stock for £142 on their web site. Since I’m in Tring on Friday (it’s Wednesday today) I thought I’d pick it up. All sound simple yes? No! I rung the phone number shown on the web site and just got a recording saying to message them, and it took me to messenger. I typed what I wanted but go no response. I rang a few more times and eventually got a real person. No they didn’t have that eyepiece in stock (even though the web site said they did), and had just sold one that morning! The person that served me didn’t seem at all concerned about the sale, didn’t ask if I wanted it ordered or tell me anything else encouraging, except they had some other size, and that maybe he should now look as the messages (like mine that hadn’t been responded to). I’ve since ordered the eyepiece from Rother Valley Optics, where it’s cheaper too (£137). Why 3 stars? Rother valley charge postage (£7.50) whereas Tring don’t. So Tring would have been cheaper (By £2.50) if I got postal delivery AND they actually had it in stock. Also Tring told me they had some other size in stock (18mm I think). If you want a size 14 dress and it’s out of stock would you buy a size 18 instead? I think not. Overall I got the idea Tring didn’t actually want my business. Still no response on messenger inspite of saying “the lack of any reply to my messages will figure in my review on trustpilot” and giving them an extra hour to see if ANY response was forthcoming.
Update.
Only 3 hours later did they reply saying the threat of a bad review was particularly unkind. I understand (but didn’t know at the time) that they are a small family business, but never said I’d leave a bad review, just one that reflected my actual experience.

Bought a spotting scope from these lovely people as they were advertising a good price and I was passing through the area. Obviously they cater more for stargazers than birdwatchers but they have a good range of birdwatching optics nevertheless. There was no pressure, I was just struck by how nice they were to deal with and wholeheartedly recommend them.

Always loved looking at the night sky and the stars but this lockdown has made me want to do it more so decided to buy a telescope. I’m an absolute novice. Found Tring through Google and read reviews and I’ve got to say, they are fantastic. I emailed to ask for advice and received fantastic advice and help. I then ordered my telescope and it was here within a day. Brilliant advice and fast efficient service. I will be using Tring for all my future astrology needs!

Vortex Diamondback 8x42.
I have recently bought some Vortex Binoculars from this company. Superb quality optics. Very happy. Being a bit indecisive I changed my order for these better quality ones after placing it online. Really helpful on the phone and rapid delivery. Arrived very well packaged. No hesitation recommending this business. Would definitely use again.

Always excellent friendly service, very good value for money and great after sales support. My go to for astro gear.
