Helpful team, let down by the underwriters
I insured my motorbike with Triumph Insurance, and sadly that isn't something I will be doing again. I was unfortunately involved in an accident which involved my 2-month-old motorbike being written off. On my Triumph Insurance policy, it states that I am eligible for a replacement vehicle. Therefore, instead of going through the 3rd parties insurance, I made the claim on my policy so that I am able to get my replacement vehicle.
Triumph Insurance don't handle any of their own claims. If you claim on a 3rd parties insurance, then you will go through a handling agent called '4th Dimension'. If you decide to claim on your own policy then you have to go directly through the underwriter, which in my case is 'MarkerStudy'.
This is where my experience began to go downhill, which is a shame because everyone I spoke to from Triumph Insurance and '4th Dimension' was very helpful. The same cannot be said for the team at MarkerStudy. If you want to speak to them on the phone, you're looking at over an hour on wait times, and if you want to speak to them on their live chat, you're again looking at over an hour - despite the live chat saying 'Our average wait time is under 10 minutes'.
MarkerStudy did not have all my policy details and appeared surprised when I told them that I am eligible for a new replacement vehicle. They then contacted my broker, Triumph Insurance, who confirmed that I am eligible for a new replacement vehicle. However, over a week after telling them, I am still getting texts saying please send us details of where to send the settlement sum.
This is then made even more frustrating when you consider every time you want to talk to them to correct them, you have to wait over an hour. At the time of writing this review, I am two weeks on from the accident and I am no closer to getting a replacement vehicle, I am more or less in exactly the same position I was in at the time of the accident.
The reason I have given this two stars is because Triumph Insurance has been helpful, however, it's their underwriter that brings them down and that is why I feel it necessary to leave the review on here so that people are aware of how their experience when dealing with a claim will be.
