Second Time Around Was Worse
I used these people 15 years ago, when it was Chem Lawn. They didn't keep their promises then, and I left them. Now they are Tru Green, so I decided to give them one more chance. My first visit was postponed twice and pushed back 11 days from the original promised date. My first treatment consisted of fertilization for my weeds, instead of weed eradication! Now after they applied granular fertilizer to my lawn, my weeds will be healthier and more profuse than ever before. I called them to complain about their deceptive business practices, and one of the managers told me what I wanted to hear, but her words were not worth 2 plug nickels. She promised that my technician would revisit my property the very next morning to address what they did not do the day before, but when tomorrow came no one was on the schedule to complete the promised work. They will go back on their word and they cannot be trusted. Their "Healthy Lawn" guarantee is a joke and so are their salespeople and managers. Stay far away from these shysters and hire some other idiot.

We started our lawn service with TruGreen Branch #5150 in May of 2022. I have lawn, tree and shrub and grass seeding performed. After 2 &1/2 years of spraying and fertilizing and seeding(1year so far) our yard doesn’t look very good. I even had a neighbor ask what to do about the dying looking grass in my front yard, because he has the same problem. I told him I use TruGreen, and the yearly cost and he just drove away. I will say, my sickly looking pin oak doesn’t look sickly anymore, but it isn’t healthy either. My grass has large brown areas, so I tried paying for seeding, doesn’t seem to help much. The service guy said I need to have yearly seeding performed at $550/year.
The field guys I talk to are polite and courteous. I don’t get to talk to all of them.
I have 25 different phone numbers to call, and I’ve noticed that the people answering the phone are usually in another country, have a hard time pronunciating American English and don’t communicate with the field people. I’ve waited for hours some days for an agreed upon service and no one shows up, calls or texts. You’re just left hanging, wasting your time. This yearly service costs about $1,500. A lot of money for mediocre results.
Do not waste your money

My lawn is now dead no matter how much I water it. Also my lawn is full of weeds. Instead of taking any responsibility Tru green continues to blame me. They say I dont water enough, even when I say I do. I water my lawn 3 times a week. Then they switch to something else. Oh whoever cuts your grass is cutting it too low. Even though they cut the grass of both of my neighbors on either side of my house. Which might I add both of my neighbors lawn is green, while mine is brown. I think they put something on my lawn that accidently killed it and instead of owning up and refunding me they just gaslight me.

very bad company i don't know what they did but they killed a big tree with their chemicals & didn't take resonspilty for it

The poster child for worthless companies
TruGreen is an amazingly worthless service. They charge by the square food of lawn but the employees barely cover any of it as they wander aimlessly even when places they've missed are pointed out. Their 800 # automatically responds that due to COVID (yes,still COVID) they are behind at returning calls. This has been over 2 months of continually emailing and getting no call. When TruGreen called to sell us more services, we demanded to talk about our current contract. Sales says they can't help us but gave us the same 800#. But, finally we had an email saying they had referred us to the local office. Never heard from anyone else but today we got an email asking for our feedback on the local office!! It was signed "Jerome" and he gave us a phone number. Upon calling, we were told no one had heard of Jerome but we should email him!! Upon insisting we talk to a manager, the woman took everything down and said someone would be calling us. This is scheme where everything leads to the same point and starts over.
In response to TruGreen's response: you had "Katie" call me and say she was sending a local manager to see me. 2 weeks later Jamie Burns came by and agreed I had huge patches of many weeds that he named and he said we should have had "aeration & over seeding" rather than weed & feed which was what was sold to us. That was followed up by a call from Lyndsay McGarvey who left a wrong # for me to call. After tracking down a number for her, she was going to talk to Jamie. I've never heard back and now the number I had reached her at is no longer working. As I said, round and round and getting nowhere.

There is no way to get someone at the customer service who is able to add two or more numbers! After hours of phone "conversations" with third-world customer service, the results were: we will"escalate" and someone from the management will call you in 24-48 hours. Two weeks later ...
The issue was that the Trugreen charged me twice for the year 2020/2021 and there is no easy way to get someone there in the finance or customer service management who will resolve the issue.
I would definitely NOT recommend this company and I will send the complaint to the BBB

I find that messages left with customer service do not get communicated to the actual services provider. On several occasions I have cancelled a service on the phone and it still gets performed. Just recently I requested the lawn get punched/seeded early to take advantage of the rainy season and they fertilized the yard instead. The issue here is now I cannot seed until the fertilization and weed killer wears off (1 month), otherwise, seed growth is reduced. I will have to augment the service. It appears 1. too many people are involved with the service of each account, and 2. customer service personnel with a lack of knowledge are trying to answer service questions. The Company has become too large and communication between the ranks is bad. An overhaul is needed. I plan to cancel after the aeration in April. I do not recommend this lawn service.

My lawn was green when we left town on vacation week of August 21. Lawn was supposed to be serviced later that week according to message from TruGreen. When we returned on August 28, our lawn was brown (dead). Unable to reach any TruGreen rep about it. I canceled service this morning.

I prepaid for year for full service. First “treatment”, tech did not treat. He set up sign, wrote phony assessment & treatment & left. All confirmed via my surveillance cameras around the outside. A call ensured a “free” treatment would be supplied 2 days later. Scheduled aeration the next day was not done & the USA rep I finally got informed records showed I had chosen to postpone via a man claiming to have spoken to me. Never happened. I also was messaged the same tech who had falsified the initial treatment was dispatched to treat. I cancelled & was assured he would not arrive & a full refund would be credited to my credit card within 10 days. Tech did show up & was, obviously, sent away. Remote working & outsourcing is no excuse for theft. Several attempts to contact someone were answered in Trinidad & unable to contact stateside. I filed fraud charges with my credit card company @ if my credit is not received in a timely manner, I will file fraud charges with the state of Georgia & a complaint with the BBB. This company is a fraud & should be treated as such & held to account.
