Verity came very highly recommended to us and after one consultation we can see why.

After a 18 months of trying to conceive, and one known chemical pregnancy we were feeling lost and the hope was beginning to fade. Our GP had run some bloods on my request, and we were told there was 'no action required'. In addition we had paid privately for a 'Fertility MOT' and were sent away being told that our results were 'normal' and to just keep on trying. With no answers, and feeling unsure on what steps to take next, we booked an initial consultation with Verity. This was the best decision we made by far!

Verity was warm, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. She asked so many questions to me and my husband, and left no stone unturned. It felt for the first time that someone was really invested in getting to the bottom of what we were experiencing, and acknowledged, that there may in fact be a reason that we weren't having any success.

In that initial conversation Verity highlighted some issues with previous medical advice we were given, as well as identifying a significant problem with the blood results that the GP has disregarded. She helped to rectify this immediately and supported me in getting the medication required. as we finished the call with Verity, we took a huge sigh of relief, and felt for the first time, that everything was going to work out.

A few days later, we received a very detailed and thorough report from Verity. The action plan was sensitive to cost implications, and prioritised testing and treatments according to our individual circumstances. Extensive guidance and reading material was signposted for us, to evidence the steps she was advising, and we felt totally confident in her expertise.

Verity was on hand to answer all of our questions (of which there were many) and was incredibly supportive when we were surprised by a pregnancy before our treatment had begun, which unfortunately led to another early loss.

We are now in the middle of treatment, and are spending these summer months preparing our bodies to begin trying again soon. Verity has encouraged time to heal, breath and optimise conditions, so that hopefully our next positive test has a happier outcome. We feel incredibly grateful to have discovered Verity on our journey to becoming parents, and ever hopeful that this will soon happen for us.

My partner and I went to see Verity at the beginning of this year to see if acupuncture could help us after just over a year of IVF treatment. We hoped that acupuncture would, at the very least, help with the stress of it all.

What we got was so much more.

The initial consultation was the first time we have been treated as a couple in what is an incredibly female focussed industry it seems. We felt listened to properly for the first time which in itself made us feel like a huge weight had been lifted.

She then provided a comprehensive report with recommendations spanning lifestyle things, supplements, advice on IVF treatment and of course the acupuncture.

Since then she has supported us every step of the way - always on hand to advise and reassure. She’s felt like a real partner in all of this and it’s been hugely comforting to feel like we have someone with such expansive fertility knowledge in our corner advocating for us. The other thing that’s been refreshing is that she feels completely impartial - she’s not against a western medicine approach, in fact she advocates a holistic approach that combines eastern and western medicine.

The acupuncture itself, provided by Clare Walsh has been fantastic. I couldn’t recommend her highly enough. Professional, compassionate and good fun too. We really look forward to our sessions (which is amazing given my partner is not keen on needles).

So, if anyone is in any doubt as to whether to contact Verity I would say just book in an initial consultation with her. You’ll never look back and it will be the best £180 you’ve ever spent.

We contacted Verity in February to see if acupuncture would assist us in trying to conceive our second child after several years of trying and multiple losses.

Our initial consultation with Verity was really detailed and provided a huge amount of information. There was really detailed guidance in our report regarding lifestyle/diet/supplements as well as additional tests and areas to look into. We both came away feeling very positive and listened to.

Verity, Claire and Elizabeth have been fantastic in terms of the acupuncture but also offering support, guidance and reassurance during this process.

We’ve just welcomed our second daughter and I honestly cannot rate and recommend the team highly enough. The sensitivity and care that is shown during a challenging and emotional time is so considered and supportive and I would encourage anyone on their fertility journey to meet with the team.

Me and my husband were trying for a baby since August 2022 and struggled with infertility and pregnancy loss before we reached out to Verity. We had our initial consultation in November 2023 and I finally felt listened to for the first time regarding our issues. Having done my own research, it was refreshing to speak with someone who validated my concerns and individualised a plan to support my issues. I begun acupuncture shortly after the consultation with Clare and I’ve never looked back. I thoroughly enjoy going and look forward to each session. I’m actually 24 weeks pregnant now and I am still having sessions with Clare now. I feel so lucky and really owe Verity and Clare for all their support so far ☺️

After struggling with secondary infertility issues for some time, we were advised by a friend that acupuncture might be worth investigating. We already knew of Verity and her practice, so both my husband and I booked appointments to see her. Not only was she incredibly knowledgable and highlighted potential underlying issues which had not been picked up previously, she was also caring and compassionate throughout the process which made us feel at ease during what could be a difficult time. I highly recommend Verity Allen. With trouble trying to conceive for a year after a previous miscarriage. I was recommended by my mother in laws acupuncturist to contact Verity Allen for fertility. I noticed a change in my cycle just after two appointments. And conceived only after two months of been a client. I seen Verity at various intervals which she recommended. Her knowledge of fertility in both female and male is exceptional and is very supportive over the different stages. I felt I had a very personal and kind support which means the world when going through difficult time. I feel very lucky to have found her and would recommend her and her team to anyone looking for help with fertility.

After having a miscarriage I approached Verity to see whether she could assist with fertility as we were desperate to have a baby and when we had the miscarriage it was terribly upsetting and I felt that I wasn't going to fall again without assistance because of my age. I had an appointment with Abbie as she was local to me and at the first appointment I found out I was pregnant again, Abbie has been great she has been treating my symptoms and I feel it's definitely helping. I will continue with Abbie as long as I need to and would highly recommend both Verity and Abbie. They have been very professional throughout and Abbie has gone above board with me.

After having 2 miscarriages and the NHS doing nothing except for saying they will only help after the third, my wife and I decided to get some private advice from Verity. And I am so glad we did. She listened to our situation, asked some questions and then proposed a number of tests for both of us. Without going into details, the issue which Verity suspected to be causing the miscarriages was with me. We had a number of further consultations where I was recommended a few simple changes to my lifestyle and additional supplements (vitamins and minerals). After a year, further tests came back with very positive changes and we tried again and were successful! We now have a 7 week old beautiful, healthy son! Verity's advice and guidance literally changed our lives as well as providing huge amounts of education which is not talked about usually. Mainly that miscarriage is not always the fault of the female! I would absolutely recommend Verity for people in a similar unfortunate situation to us. Absolutely brilliant service. We started our journey with Verity a couple of months ago and we couldn't be happier with the support and guidance she has provided. From the very first consultation she really listened to our histories and provided a hugely detailed report and advice on next steps (including supplementation, tests, etc). When we got test results through she provided an updated report with even more detailed information relating to our results and what this means in context. She is always there to answer questions and give advice based on her robust knowledge of the fertility journey and options surrounding it. The acupuncture is so relaxing and feels like a positive route forward (like we are taking some control), and Elizabeth and Clare are brilliant at the acupuncture appointments - they are so knowledgeable and ask pertinent questions to help guide the session. The service Verity and team provide is so much more than just acupuncture. We feel so supported and that we are on a positive path now, where we had felt clueless for so long. Very thorough assessment, diagnosis and treatment. Melody is lovely and the treatment has helped to regulate my cycles and my FSH had come down! Lots of advice and the session is relaxing and supportive psychologically and physically. Verity also suggested having test for Hashimoto’s, I had never considered this or my GP. I am now seeking treatment for it and am so glad this has been picked up as it can negatively impact fertility, and is also making me feel very tired and overweight. Thank you !

Verity knew so much about fertility and was honest in saying acupuncture for me wouldn’t help. She is not just about acupuncture but the whole holistic and biological approach to fertility. I would highly recommend.

From the moment I had my first consultation with Verity, I immediately felt better about my fertility struggles, even after the IVF clinic left me feeling negative and disheartened. I went to verity for fertility, I was 43 years old. She helped me get on track with my cycle and I made changes with my diet plus giving my guidance with what supplements to take. I now have a 9m old and I don’t think it would have happened without her help.
