I arrived in Washington on an international flight with Global Entry and TSA PreCheck, and the experience was far from expedited.
Although my boarding pass clearly showed TSA PRE✓, after passport control I was required to remove shoes, jacket, laptop, phone, and follow full screening rules. No explanation was provided as to why TSA PreCheck was not honored during re‑screening.
Passport control itself was unexpectedly slow. Despite having Global Entry, we waited almost 20 minutes with only four people in front of us, while travelers using the Global Entry mobile app moved through significantly faster. This difference is not clearly communicated and adds to confusion.
The situation worsened during the interaction with the border control officer. Even after we explained that our connecting flight was boarding and we were already 40 minutes late, the officer spent additional time lecturing my 80‑year‑old mother, who does not speak English, about immigration rules and time spent outside the country. This occurred despite the fact that her permanent resident status was obtained legally and she has been in good standing for over seven years. The lack of urgency and sensitivity added unnecessary stress during an already delayed connection.
Additionally, my United Chase credit card, for which I pay an annual fee, and which advertises priority boarding and travel benefits, was not recognized by any airline during this trip. None of the advertised perks were honored.
Overall, this experience highlighted a broader issue: paid expedited programs and premium travel benefits look good on paper, but in practice they are inconsistently applied, poorly communicated, and often not recognized. When travelers are still required to follow regular security procedures, board with standard groups, and wait in the same lines, it raises serious questions about the value of these programs.
My advice to other travelers: if you are consistently subjected to regular checks and standard boarding, it may be better to save the membership fees and manage expectations accordingly. The lack of execution and recognition makes these programs feel like a waste of time and money.

Fantastisk sejltur om øen Nolsoy med en fortællende og særdeles empatisk skipper. Vi så søpapegøjer, stormskader, viber, måger mm. - sæler der på lå og slappe af på sten samt titte op af vandet. En helt uforglemmelig tur som er et must for at få en fuldendt oplevelse af Færøerne. Kan kun anbefales.

En magisk oplevelse! Vi havde først booket en 2 timers sejltur med udgangpunkt i Thorshavn med TSA. Det var 2 fantastiske timer med masser af oplevelser, et hav af søpapegøjer mm. Flosi gav sig god tid til at fortælle hvad vi kom forbi og var utrolig nærværende for alle på båden. To dage efter tog vi igen fat i Flosi da vi havde talt om at tage på en fisketur og HOLD da op en tur. Vi havde vores 8 årige dreng med og Flosi var helt fantastisk til at inddrage ham i fiskeriet... og vi fangede SÅ mange fisk. Skal i se lidt af Færøerne fra havet så er det TSA I skal have fat. Vi kommer helt sikkert igen.

Sådan en fantastisk oplevelse Flosi gav os! En af de bedste oplevelser jeg har haft på Færøerne. Vi så massere af fugle og kom meget tæt på dem. Så unikt at se fuglene i deres habitat uden forstyrrelse af andre touriser og bebyggede områder. Klippesiderne var også fantastiske. Som Folsi sagde: Neverneverland go home! Meget rammende om omgivelser, for de var så smukke!

Friendly guide. The trip was a substitute for a different boat trip that was cancelled and it was probably better! Lots of puffins, beautiful views.

On time performance.
Great language skills.
We caught fish.
We saw puffins.
We had a good time.
We felt safe.
Seeing Faroe Islands from the seaside.
A great experience.
I definitely recommend them.
And I would book tsa.fo next time I visit for sure.

Vi kan kun anbefale denne sejlads. Vi så Torshavn fra vandsiden. Vi sejlede rundt om Nolsoy. Vi så mange lunter og en masse måger på de stejle skranter. Vi så fyrtårn og nogle sæler. Naturen var helt fantasisk.
Vi siger tak for en dejlig oplevelse.

We booked a fishing trip to get a combination of fishing and views of Torshavn and Faroe Islands from the sea. The trip was great and all required fishing gear as well as flotation overalls were included. We stopped at three different fishing spots and managed to catch a variety of fish during the trip. On the way back to Torshavn we also got some additional sightseeing.

I had a great experience with fishing. It was my first time but with well-explained instruction, I was able to succeed. And the captain took me around Nolsoy islands and the view was incredible.

I definitely suggest taking the tour and enjoying the trip.

Me and boats dont go well together but these boat trips are for everyone for sure😍 We had the best time together as a family☺️
