Tutoring for the Deaf provides specialist online English and Maths tutoring for deaf and hearing-impaired students. Tutoring for the Deaf is led by a qualified Teacher of the Deaf with lived experience of profound deafness. Having overcome barriers in education, graduated from multiple universities and become a specialist teacher, she understands first-hand the importance of accessible teaching, patience, visual learning and clear communication. Our online tutoring sessions are personalised to each student’s needs. We support learners who use spoken English, written English, BSL, hearing aids, cochlear implants or a combination of communication methods. Lessons are calm, structured and focused on helping students understand key topics, close gaps in knowledge and build independence. We offer support with English, Maths, GCSE preparation, homework, revision skills and confidence.
