I tested it but it used the initial 50000 credits on less than half of all 10000 word short novelette. So its far more frugal than chtgpt but it did improve something but it is just too costly per word to be much use. I didn't find any errors though it did lose the character of the writing and it risks removing your original tone. Would have subscribed if it were less frugal

Used Type.ai on a full novel. It overwrote the voice, duplicated a chapter heading, and stopped halfway when the credits ran out. It produces spelli8ng mistakes when asked to check for spelling. I told them. No useful reply. Then they ignored me. After I spent $250.

If you are editing a book, do not trust it to finish the job or to leave your sentences alone. The meter matters more than the manuscript. I will not put another draft in it.

I have to say DON'T. I hardly write reviews and today I'm going tot write as much as possible for this one thing. It makes the same mistake again and again, even after owning up to the obviousness. Takes a paragraph or chapter and duplicates it, placing it somewhere else. Some real dumb spelling mistakes. All of this using up your credit so you have to upgrade. Obviously on purpose to make money. Robbing you. I wrote a polite email. They wrote back and said some nonsense. They have hear this kind of complaint a fff load of times, for sure. They are now ignoring me.

Very basic Plagerism checker. It flags text but doesn't really dive too deeply to find paragraphs or sentences that are duplicate. Then again, perhaps my papers were perfect! :D
The reason for the 2 stars is becuase TypeAI apparently has a cutoff on the amount of scans you can do per month. Whereas, it clearly states in the FAQs that it is unlimited! Because I was having TypeAI check a book I'm writing, I ran out of scans and said I had to wait 30 days to run more scans! So, I canceled my subscription. I'm glad I didn't buy a full year and I canceled within the 3 day trial period. Hopefully, my credit card won't get hit. Anyway, before you signup, make sure you only need to scan a few things a month, otherwise you'll have to wait 30 days to finish.
