I kew UCKG through my father, he found the church when he was in a critical situation of his life; diagnosed with cancer in his stomach. He was so oppressed because of the situation and was mentally affected.

He was desperate because went to many places trying to solve his problem and nobody could help him, he went to church was well supported, learned how to use his faith in God and it lifted up his confidence, after me and my family came to church and nowadays we are so happy serving God in there. I can openly say that I could learn a lot, such as to keep the principles, value family, help my neighbour and keep my faith in God. I have inner peace, I’m married and I met my wife in the church and I can say that this Amazing work has helped me to build a solid life.

The UCKG has many groups in the church in order to help different types of people like: to help people with mental health, to help youths to take the right path in life, a group to support the elderly people, outreach projects, visits in hospitals and so many other projects to help the community. What really called my attention was a couple of months ago where the church send 18 tonnes of food to help people in Ukraine.

I’m so sad when I see bad comments about the church because I doubt that those who put this bad comments do at least 1% of what the church has done for the community.

My parents found this place when they were in the brink of divorce. They received help/ no judgements. After that we just kept coming back. Great place/ great staff/ great people. They still have the Marriage Courses and counseling for couples.

I found true help at the UCKG, genuine and very helpful volunteers. I was depressed, sick and frustrated. With their support and teaching I learned how to use my faith intelligently and got my life back. I totally recommend this place.

This is a wonderful place, in this place I found reason to be alive, I found life.
This is a place that would love to recommend it.surely will be worthy the experience.

UCKG HelpCentre, is an amazing place where you get support, guidance and a chance to get to know the living God.

Bishop, Pastors and Assistants are always helpful and the meetings are directed to improve or enhance all aspects of your life according with Biblical principals.

I have been attending the UCKG HelpCentre for many years and actually started in a different country. Its the place where you are taught to see your life positively, challenge yourself, better yourself in every way and most importantly, taught to have a relationship with God. I personally have found their services and help most useful.

I was invited when I was 16 about to be 17 and at first the environment seemed nice and people were friendly.

At the point I wanted to know more about God and thought the place would really help. However after almost 4 years of attending my experience has been awful, I have been depressed and more anxious as a result of this place.

They took up most of my time encouraging me to come every day and the more you came the more praise and recognition you would get. They remove you from the outside world telling you to cut everyone who doesn’t attend the church off and they literally drain the fun out of life with their many restrictions.

They do not protect and help your mental health, instead they say that everything negative is a demon. When I became severely depressed I was gaslighted and chased by leaders and pastors to continue coming although I wanted out, I still receive harassment from them to continue coming even though I’ve left for more than a year now.

The worst part is that they took 4 years of my life away from me that I’ll never get back and now I have to restart. I’ll never get the hundreds of pounds I was manipulated to give back or the time or the friends I cut off but I know that God is just and I’ll be ok without that torturous place.

Do your research before attending, if you check multiple sources you'll come to your own conclusion.

I attended the UCKG for 10 years from the age of 16, when I started going I was at a point in my life where I wanted to take my faith more seriously. Over the 10 years I went to the church there were a lot of things that I saw and heard from the Pastors of the church which never quite sat well with me, but I ignored it.

Pastors being verbally abusive to young people often under 21, assistants in the church (volunteers) and members; there were usually other witnesses to this and it was common to not say anything as speaking up make you labelled as "rebellious". Verbal abuse was often disguised as "rebuke".

One of the interesting things is that the founder Edir Macedo owns a bank "Banco Digimais". This is completely unethical when there are members of the church struggling to survive yet are encouraged to give their "all" in offering purposes. If you needed financial assistance as a member of the UCKG you would be handed an offering envelope by the Pastor and told to "challenge the altar" the best you would get is a prayer.

The church receives millions of donations yearly (you can check their charity statements) and they claim to spend most of their income on "charitable expenses". Considering they do not provide any financial assistance to their members and the food banks are mainly driving by donations from supermarkets; I wonder what these "charitable expenses" are.

The church places a huge emphasis on tithe and offerings and although Biblical ideas the church preaches it in a manipulative and coercive way as a result people often give more than they can truly afford to give.

Developing your understanding on Christian theology is criticised and discouraged in the UCKG; it is no surprise that the Bible is often taken out of context. Pastors are usually brought into the ministry at a young age 18+ (younger outside of the UK) and undergo exclusive training the UCKG.

Church members are discouraged from researching the church online and it is clear why there have been numerous scandals and multiple reports on the church. If you have attended yourself it isn't hard to decipher what is true and what is false.

I've lost count of people I know personally who have experienced spiritual abuse in the UCKG with no accountability taken from leadership. Unfortunately these scandals will not stop until the church takes accountability for it's actions.

They often say "you are not obliged to give anything in the church" but in the same breath some Pastors and Bishop Macedo himself have said that people are "unwell" spiritually if they do not participate in giving offerings in the church campaigns. I personally know people who have gotten into debt as a result of some of these campaigns.

There is a lot of coercive control and manipulation and unless you are able to think for yourself you will end up following the crowd. There are people who may have seen changes in their life as a result of their personal faith but there are many who are currently members who's lives have gotten worse these "testimonies" are never shared; only the minority transformations are emphasised. Many leave bitter and broken some experiencing spiritual abuse.

The UCKG often takes credit for any positive changes in people's lives when in reality any "credit" should be defaulted to God and that person's faith. If the church was the root cause everyone in the UCKG would have the same experience. They often start testimonies with "What was your life like before attending the UCKG?" this gives listeners the false idea that there lives will change from attending and is how many end up staying in the church as well as fear that their life will get worse if they leave. There is a lot of fear mongering when it concerns leaving the UCKG. They often associate leaving the UCKG church with "leaving God".

One of the main issues with the church is the lack of accountability from leadership for its actions and impact of spiritual abuse which happens OFTEN in the church. People are usually gaslighted and conversations end with people being told they are "not well" spiritually or that they have "bad eyes".

There are genuine people in the church who are there for God, but unfortunately the church needs some serious restructuring because people are being lost daily as a result of the spiritual abuse and manipulation by leadership.

There is so much I could say but to summarise the church operates more like a cult as opposed to a biblically sound church.

If you want to go to a biblically sound church I advise you to visit a few churches first, pray about it and come to your own conclusion. There are biblically sound churches out there, you just have to do your due diligence first.

I advice not go to this place, it is not a healthy environment. Very strict and lack of freedom. Can be forceful when it comes to activities happening and they do not tend to respect your 'no'. It's intense and a lot of your free time can be taken away from you. At first can appear very loving and caring however after a while their true colours show.

Very disgusted,they manipulate vulnerable people out of their valuable money and time they use extremely suggestive language as a means to guilt trip people into giving money many times a week, they control people's time especially the young and those that volunteer. They twist the bible and take it out of context they are invasive and want to know people's personal business in detail. It's a terrible place to be no lies told.

Definitely a cult NOT a Christian Church! STAY WELL AWAY from this Lot!

They DON'T operate in the Spirit of Christ.

They have nothing of the fear of God in them or understanding of Scripture.

Extremely controlling and manipulative. I would go as far as to say, 'Venetious' the 'Pastor' I spoke to is possessed and a control freak. You can see it in his eyes and body language when you do the utter 'mistake' of speaking to him. His eyes .... his whole countenance and demeanour frightening and freaky as hell to say the least! Starts off okay until when the mask 'slips', then you see the 'demon' within. I really had to 'unsee' that face in my mind and spirit after leaving.
And his so called 'assistant' pastor cranks up the volume (of music playing) when I'm trying to speak. Let's me know all I need to know about this 'Church'.

I ought NOT to have wasted a minute of my time with this diabolical lot!

I hope both receive their due reward and what's coming for them.
May fire from above convict them.

the biggest mistake I ever made was joining this cult! All they ever did was accuse me and my partner for being demon possessed and being used by the devil because we had met in church and wanted to start a relationship together but in the UCKGs eyes we were committing some form of sin.

Also when you don’t agree with their nonsense you’ll be made to feel like the biggest outcast ever, people who once claimed to be your friends then start to distance themselves from you all they are told by the “assistants” to keep their distance from you as you are not saved and are still demon possessed,

They’ll also manipulate you into giving away all your savings on the night of New Year’s Eve (the campaign of Israel)
I saw 17 year old boys who had just received their first ever pay check and give it away to the church because they have been brainwashed to think they’d receive something better.

I was a member of this church for 2 years before managing to leave and see the fraudulent behaviour they are really up to,

My partner UNFORTUNATELY still attends the services and all the “Pastors” & “Assistants” Keep doing is telling her to leave me as I’m demon possessed and I’ll take her to hell with me 😂

UCKG are a cult! Ruining people's lives that make the mistake of getting involved with them especially their so called "strong prayer" on Fridays.

I have attended this church for many years and have found nothing but the truth being taught, straight from the word of God.
I attended another church before coming here, and then , the first time I attended the UCKG was like I found my rightful home. I never looked back.
If you are seeking to serve God the right way, this is the place to be.
If you want your children to grow up with integrity let them attend to learn God`s way. You will be the happiest parents ever!

UCKG “HelpCentre” are most definitely not centres providing help but a dangerous religious cult preying on vulnerable adults.

The purpose of all the groups run by UCKG “HelpCentre” - Victory Youth Group, soup kitchens / food banks and Caleb for older people - is to target vulnerable children and adults to brainwash them into paying 10% of their income or benefits and everything they own, and selling their valuables and getting into debt so that UCKG founder Edir Macedo and leaders can live in extreme luxury. Edir Macedo is now a billionaire from all the money he has stolen from the 12 million people he’s brainwashed around the world.

UCKG are responsible for the murder of 8 year old Victoria Climbié in 2000. UCKG have committed many terrible crimes around the world - child trafficking and illegal adoption of 60 children, child sacrifice, fraud, money laundering, the list goes on and on.

UCKG “HelpCentre” Soup Kitchen / Food Bank in Finsbury Park, Kilburn, Stamford Hill, Peckham, Plaistow Catford and Croydon use free food as bait to target vulnerable adults because we’re easier to manipulate.

While collecting free food at UCKG Finsbury food bank, they repeatedly tried to manipulate me to go to their services. When I said I’m not religious, they claimed it’s not religion. That is very true, UCKG are about financially exploiting vulnerable adults, not Christianity!

When I mentioned I was in pain from standing in the queue for over half an hour, they claimed they can cure my incurable disabilities.

Stay away for your safety, they are so, so manipulative!
