No integrity or service
They refused to give me my £30 sub back as they say that I cancelled one working day after deadline for cancelling. They insisted they did not receive a response from me and yet I received a quote in response at twice the advertised price . This has happened before and which is why I cancelled the sub. Don’t use as these are not people of integrity.
Just received another letter from Travelzoo. Here is an extract from it - 'Regarding your membership renewal, I completely understand why you’re asking for a refund, and I do appreciate that you reached out as soon as you realised the issue.
However, I’ve checked the account details, and your membership renewed on 17/01/2026 at 16:09 GMT, and we received your request to cancel on 19/01/2026 at 17:39 UTC.
We do offer a 48‑hour grace period after a renewal in cases where a membership is purchased or renewed in error. Unfortunately, your request reached us outside of that 48‑hour window, which means we’re unable to issue a refund on this renewal.'
Of course, it is not true that i cancelled after the necessary date. It was a little before renewal but they say they cannot find the email. In any case even if they are right that i was slightly late(by about one hour after the so called grace period) is this enough to justify not refunding because the very reason i cancelled is that they always quote way over the advertised price(quite often twice the price) and i decided it was not worth staying with them.
