Pheromones is the name given to the scent that dogs naturally produce to communicate with each other. Your dog will release pheromones from scent glands all over their body; on their paws, under their ears, and in females around their mammary area. Dogs use their vomeronasal organ, also known as the Jacobson's organ, in the roof of their mouths to detect pheromone signals. All dogs, regardless of their age, use pheromone signals and different pheromones communicate different things. ZENIDOG ® contains an artificial form of the canine appeasing pheromone that bitches releases to provide reassurance to their puppies and has been shown to reduces stress-related behaviours in dogs by up to 89%. Don't worry though, humans can't smell dog pheromones. How long does it take to work? The collar will start to diffuse once opened.
