Nice people. Good work.

For 2 weeks no one was there, I called them to arrange a date and time with me, I took 3 days off from work, I went to the housekeeping, there was no effect, so what kind of opinion should I give? No

The workmen were here from 0845 until 1645.All the work done in one day! AMAZING Can't praise them enough

I have just had the insulation completed, painters/tapers are due on Monday, then heating installation the week after. So far, this has been an excellent experience from the first phone call I made, (really not expecting to be entitled to funding), the staff at Union Technical that I have dealt with were very friendly and efficient. Any query I had was answered quickly. The assessors were great, explained what we needed when they were here. The girls in the office led us through the funding application effortlessly. This week we had the joiners in doing the insulation work. They were absolutely first class, so knowledgeable, and were very respectful of us and our property. Shaun and Jack worked tirelessly all day, and even worked late (after asking if we minded) to keep the job on track. The plumber and electrician who came in to do their bits were great too. I really didn't expect to get this fully funded, but phoned Union Techinical - just incase. We are getting the house insulated and a new heating system, fully funded. That phone call has saved us an awful lot of money.

Punctual for the appointment. Polite and knowledgeable on all aspects of the pre-installation ASHP(Air Source Heat Pump). Provided logical answers to my varying questions on locations, sizes, preferences and the overall scope of work. Thanks to Allan Rennie for a professional visit!

Punctual and professional heating surveyor. Pleasant to deal with and explained everything clearly as he went.

Surveyor/engineer was polite and well mannered. answered all my technical questions and explained what to expect. A good ambassador for the company also had good sense of humour.

The joiners who came first to do the insulation were tidy, quick and did an excellent job. They were also pleasant and easy to have in the house. The heating engineers and the engineers who installed the solar panels came and installed everything over one long day a week later. While it was disruptive having so many workers in the house at one time ,the work they have done is, I think, of a high standard and the engineers were all very pleasant too. There were a few issues with running the pump and the panels after installation but these were sorted out pretty quickly. The work was finished a couple of weeks later by tapers & painters. My only issue was that I had to wait these weeks for the work to be completed and during that time was not able to use the rooms. Otherwise I was very happy with all the work carried out by Union Technical.

The guys on the ground who came to survey our home were lovely, friendly and knowledgeable. The Team who came to fit our air source heating were fabulous - very polite, friendly, helpful and extremely tidy. They did a great job in a very short time and we cannot fault them .... but the office support behind them let them down badly. The poor guys were provided with an old plan of our home, the radiator order they collected (placed by support staff) was not correct and we had agreed a Valiant air source pump, but they were given a Grant to fit.

If you are thinking of using this company I cannot praise the guys who will visit your home highly enough - but the admin/support staff, whilst friendly and appearing helpful to speak to, are not remotely good at passing on the correct information to their people on the ground or at ordering the correct items (I forgot to mention our solar panels, which were supposed to have extra clips as we live on a windy hill - but didn't). For this reason alone, ie. the support staff, I would not recommend anybody uses this company - which is a shame, as I cannot praise their Team in the field highly enough.

Awaiting completion the heating controls needs to be moved from the shed into the house. Supply and fit the Soler panels and complete joinery (skirting boards repair and fit a bedroom door.
Pairing and taping to be done! Whole wall missed.

Union technical done an insulation job to put insulation in the cavity of the house .
First they couldn't find the drill bit then when tried to fill the cavity the machine was blocked .
When the machine was unblocked I had the insulation parts all over my garden and yes I was the one who had to clean it even with the adhesive or what ever they use .....nightmare . I can only tell my contact with them so it your choice . Sorry can I just say I don't have an exact date as they r asking for one

All trades were very punctual, respectful nice guys

Installation day no one came or called until 1030 (were due at 0900) when they arrived they all looked and said the job couldn't be done. I asked why as there had already been 2 surveys done, they said that wasn't really a survey!? They all left...leaving multiple holes in my walls with follow up arranged. A week or so later, I got a chap at my door at around half 8 in the morning. It was the team back to do the job they couldn't be done. I hadn't been contacted or asked if I was going to be available that day.

Job still not completed and no communication from anyone

I had my home assessed yesterday. I was most impressed by the surveyors knowledge. He answered all my questions and offered advice on certain aspects of my house. He was Extremely competent

3 weeks waiting for plastering to be carried out.
Not good, especially as sleeping on sofa in lounge.
Now all finished.
But 3 weeks.
Shame as everything else was carried out as agreed.

Union Technical contacted me 3 years ago claiming they could carry out a fairly large upgrade to my home insulation and heating. A home survey was carried out and I was told the work would be completed before that coming winter. Since then, nothing has been done and nothing heard from them. Union Technical seems to me to be a complete scammer. If it sounds too good to be true then it is too good to be true. Regards. John Anderson. Shetland islands.
