I have stayed in 2 cabins so far, in different locations. I absolutely adore these mini breaks away on my own. They have everything you need but nothing more. Simple luxury in the most relaxing spaces. An introverts dream! Can’t wait to return.

We stayed in Freja in NSW. It was a fantastic experience. We felt we are far away in the bush but in the end the next town is not too far away. The stars were spectacular. We had a fire, swam in the river, went for walks, chilled. Just amazing! Would do it any time again, and I'm pretty sure I will. Even my husband who is not the biggest nature and adventure lover loved it. I returned deeply touched inside and deeply relaxed. Thank you!

I need a break like this on a monthly basis. I stayed at Elin in Wales, and it delivered everything it was billed, and I needed it, to be.

After sharing my arrival pics with friends and family (of course), I used Brick to switch off social media apps, just keeping messaging ones but I turned off notifications, for some level of digital detox. I sat in silence for the first time in forever. I watched the clouds, the trees, the birds. Then the helicopters, and the rain. I read books for hours, actually able to focus on the words. I laughed and cried at a book I’ve picked up and put down repeatedly before, finally absorbing the story. I ground coffee beans and boiled water on the stove. I fried bread and eggs and bacon. I split wood to make kindling. I started and kept the fire going in the wood burner. I listened to positive and inspiring podcasts I’d downloaded, instead of endless true crime. I stretched and snoozed and felt a calmness wash over me that I haven’t experienced in a very long time.

Had the best time enjoying nature and being calm.

We went off grid to Louka in Victoria. Albert river close by and we were surrounded by the local sheep and cows. Perfect place to getaway and have no interruptions. Cabin was super comfy and as nervous as I was about the toilet situation, I was pleasantly surprised. Everything we needed was there and of course I brought way too much stuff I didn’t realise was supplied such as oil, salt, coffee etc. Love the branding and little extras. I’m eager to check out more of the Unyoked cabins around Australia and the world!

A well needed quiet rest. Far enough out to have some peace but able to see one or 2 people everyday so i didn't feel alone.
Quiet, peaceful and lovely

Amazing hosts, magical setting, and nature dazzling us with stars, summer breezes and a fly-by of black cockatoos who decided to circle the cabin just to show off!

This was honestly one of the worst first experiences we’ve ever had.

We planned this trip to Unyoked Aprilla at Johanna for two nights. We prepared for this trip for an entire month — thinking about the meals we wanted to cook, listing the ingredients we wanted to buy, and really looking forward to disconnecting. The accommodation mentioned that there was “some reception,” and we even checked the network coverage on our provider’s website beforehand and believed there would be phone signal.

On the day of the trip, we were very excited. When we arrived, the atmosphere was beautiful. We loved the concept of the cabin — being away from people, escaping the chaos, no worries, no stress. However, when we checked our phone, it showed SOS only. Still, we weren’t too concerned at that point.

When we started cooking, we noticed the stove flame was very low. After about 10 minutes, we managed to finish the first dish. But when we started cooking the second dish, the gas completely stopped. We checked both inside and outside the cabin. Outside, we saw two gas bottles. We turned the valves on both bottles and tried turning the gas on again, but it would not work.

That night, we had to take a cold shower. The next morning, we tried lighting the stove again, and it still didn’t work.

We decided to leave early at 10am, even though our check-out was the following day, because without gas there was no way to cook any food. We also could not light a fire outside due to the summer fire ban regulations. It was not practical to keep driving in and out just to find phone signal or look for food, especially since there are no nearby food options in that area.

This trip left us extremely disappointed. We felt so frustrated that we didn’t even feel like stopping anywhere else on the way back. When we contacted Unyoked to request a refund for the night we did not stay, our request was refused. We were told that the host had checked everything and that there was no issue.

If we had received some form of understanding or compensation, we would absolutely have considered staying again in the future. But denying responsibility in this way makes us feel that we will not use this service again, and we would not recommend it to our friends or anyone we know.

This experience was deeply upsetting and extremely disappointing.

Connection, presence, nature sounds, rest, slowness, beautiful surroundings. What more could you want to get away from the "noise" of everyday?

We stayed at at Suvi cabin for the weekend and had a great experience! The facilities are simple but clean and well maintained and the setting was beautiful and peaceful. It was the perfect chance to disconnect from the busyness of city life and relax in nature.

Legends. I’m an idiot and sent my voucher to the wrong email address (typo) and I messaged the instagram account and got such a quick response and immediate fix of my issue by some lovely person named Cess. Truly saved the timing of a present. That’s top notch customer service. We love Cess. I wish every customer service rep was as legendary as Cess.

We stayed at the Banjo cabin and had an excellent experience. The cabin was beautifully set up, peaceful, and immersed in nature. The view of the waterfall was spectacular and made the stay genuinely memorable. Would absolutely recommend and will be back.

Beautiful cozy cabin in a stunningly beautiful location. The large windows near the bed make you feel like you’re sleeping fully immersed in nature, but with total comfort and protection from the elements.

Everything is designed for you to slow down, down to the kettle and coffee grinder. Absolutely loved it - can’t wait to explore the other unyoked sites

Great spot to unwind and get away !

Staying at Unyoked is something that everyone should do to fully recharge and reconnect. Especially during those moments when work takes over, stress rises and sleep is not much of an option. I am someone that is not that good with nature, however there are plenty of options with milder, more “doable” cabins for a little scary cat like me. I always come home from an Unyoked experience so refreshed, with more new ideas, a creative mindset and a calm and balanced soul.
The team at Unyoked think about every little details, with wonderfully curated cabins. The cabin is so cosy and beautiful. If I could, I’d be there once a month to recharge and rebalance.

We stayed at a secluded tiny home in Hallston called Santi, it was a hike up to our cabin which once there we had our tiny home overlooking rolling hills for as far as the eye can see. It was absolutely breathtaking. The tiny home was decked out with just the perfect amount of things needed for our stay with our toddler. We did a fire in the pit on our first night in, then had a fire ban the following day (which was fine because the home had a stove top pots, pans etc) We arrived over a 40 degree weekend but the location was 5 degrees cooler than the rest of Melbourne and perch on a hill so high that the winds and temp didn’t effect us at all overnight. We spent our 3 days reading, listening to music, eating outside and going out for a hike at Wilson’s prom. It was bliss. Exceeded expectations.

I love the message behind everything the experience is providing. Amazing setup and something I’m looking forward to doing again. My only regret is not booking this sooner!
