It’s been almost three months since I placed my order, and I still haven’t received anything. I contacted customer service several times, and they just told me that the package was marked as “not delivered.” However, I’ve never had any issues receiving mail or packages, and I never got any delivery notice or missed-delivery card.
What’s worse, they told me that I should request a refund from the postal service — but why should I be responsible for something that they shipped and that never arrived? That makes absolutely no sense.
This has been a frustrating and disappointing experience. I paid for a product that I never received, and the company refuses to take responsibility. Definitely would not recommend ordering from them.

I placed an order of around £65 worth of yerba mate on 28 September 2025, and today is 22 October — almost a month later — and I still haven’t received it.

To be fair, customer service was polite and responsive. Emma was kind and replied to all my emails. However, even though she was polite, the issue was never actually solved.

Royal Mail twice marked my address as “inaccessible”, which was completely untrue. My street was only blocked from one end, and other couriers (including Amazon) delivered without any problem. The Royal Mail driver never came to my door — I was home during both supposed “attempts.”

After that, I was told I could collect the parcel from a sorting office open only between 8 and 10 a.m., which is impossible for anyone who works. The parcel also weighed around 6kg, so collecting it on foot wasn’t an option.

It’s important to mention that the delivery was “free” only because I spent over £50, meaning it wasn’t a complimentary service — it was a benefit I earned by reaching that spending threshold.

I even provided an alternative delivery address (my workplace) so the parcel could be redirected there, but that never happened either.

About a week after not receiving my order, I bought 1kg of yerba from another store, just to get by until this one arrived. That order was delivered to my door in less than 24 hours. I used that 1kg to “survive” for the rest of the time, but as it started to run out, I ended up placing another order from the same other store. That one already arrived, while the UruShop parcel is still stuck in the system and hasn’t even reached them back for a refund yet.

At this point, even the roadworks on my street — which caused the initial issue — have been completed for weeks. The street is fully open again, and yet I still don’t have my order.

So now, nearly a month later, I have neither my yerba nor my money.

Emma has been polite throughout and has promised to issue the refund once Royal Mail finally returns the parcel to them, but the experience overall has been extremely frustrating and poorly handled.

I’m giving 3 stars because of the good communication and friendly tone from customer service, but UruShop should seriously review how they handle situations when Royal Mail fails to deliver. The customer shouldn’t be left without their order for a month, waiting for something that was never their fault.

Despite not being able to actually receive the product I'd bought due to Brexit restrictions my experience of this company was extremely positive. Not only did they immediately refund the purchased cost but sent an explanatory and apologetic email - within two hours of the transaction. This kind of thing is happening more often nowadays but most companies take a few days to get back to you. The level of professionalism exhibited by these guys is vastly superior to the standard and one can completely feel assured of the quality of their service.

These guys are awesome. Have ordered yerba mate and accessories from UruShop on a number of occasions. Never disappoints! Great range, excellent customer service, and they also provide plenty of information and context for new mate drinkers. Wholeheartedly recommend!

I tried to contact by email and telephone do not answer. facade contacts. I'm Latin, I know the Argentine and I know the authentic flavor Argentine. you cant deceive me If I know Buenos Aires personal

Urushop is fantastic. That's really all I have to say, I just felt I had to write a review after realising how many times I've come back to them for my yerba mate without even considering looking elsewhere.

Great place to get your yerba mate, they have a wide range so you can find all the top brands as well as some blends that are harder to find. I'm busy trying out some katuava blends right now and they are great, Karupi is my preferred choice right now. I really like blends with guarana, it adds a tough of berry sweatiness that you only notice when switching to another blend...CBS makes a great one!
Anyway, these guys have great prices and promotions as well as some awesome gourds and bombillas...oh, and delivery is super quick as well, even during this pandemic...thanks UruShop!

An amazing shop selling specialist products related to Yerba Mate, a South American drink made from tree leaves brewed in a similar way to traditional tea.

This site provides brilliant descriptions of each type of mate and gives full instructions on how to brew and drink them. You feel totally confident in getting your drink right when it arrives.

Delivery, prices and range is all excellent.

I can't speak highly enough of Urushop. The selection of yerba mates is unreal and their prices are absolutely spot on.

The selection of hardware is also exceptionally good and caters for every level of yerba drinker.

I think though that where they really excel is in their customer service. I order regularly and everything arrives as ordered and in super quick time too. Not only that but the amount of information on their blog is wonderful and answers any questions you may have on the subject of yerba.

It's clear this company is passionate about yerba and the South American culture surrounding it and that makes it special.
