Avoid: Unauthorized recurring charges without any notice

I used use.ai for a single, one-time image edit and paid once for it. Without my knowledge or consent, the site charged my account 2–3 additional times after that. I received zero email notification for any of these extra charges — I only found out when I checked my bank statement and had to contact my bank directly to confirm it.

There was no clear disclosure that this would turn into a recurring subscription, and no confirmation emails were sent for the follow-up charges, which made it impossible to catch or dispute in time. I've since reached out to their billing support to request a refund and cancellation.

If you're considering this site for a single edit, be very careful — check your bank statement afterward, and don't assume "no email" means "no charge." I would not use this service again.

On July 27th, I purchased a 7-day all-access pass on use.ai using my NongHyup (NH) card. Even though I only clicked the payment button once, I was immediately double-charged an amount higher than advertised.

To make matters worse, my full access was cut off after just one day. The site blocked me from using the AI tools and demanded that I pay more money to continue. Disgusted by this, I immediately canceled the subscription that very day and stopped using the site.

However, the scam didn't stop there. On August 3rd at 2:00 AM, without my consent, they automatically charged my registered card 44,000 KRW for an unauthorized 3-month subscription.

After looking into it, I realized that use.ai is not an official site for Claude Opus, but a fraudulent, copycat site designed to trick people and steal their money. I have heard that their customer support only gives repetitive, generic responses like "we are looking into it" and refuses to issue refunds.

I have already filed a chargeback dispute for international fraudulent transactions with my card issuer (NongHyup Bank) and am demanding a full refund for all unauthorized charges. Stay away from this website!

Review: I subscribed to the 6-month plan yesterday, under the impression that it offers unlimited access as advertised. However, their marketing is highly misleading. They advertise "unlimited switching" to trick users into thinking they are getting unlimited AI usage, only to hide strict token and usage limits after you pay. This is a complete subscription trap.I have not used the service and I have already contacted support for an immediate cancellation and a full refund. I will not accept their internal "non-refundable" excuse for a service that misleads consumers. If a full refund is not processed immediately, I will initiate a chargeback through my bank and report them to consumer protection authorities. Avoid this platform!

Es una página que utiliza la confusión para conseguir sucripciones. En mi caso, me salió tras buscar "Claude" en Crhome y aparecer como primer resultado con "Claude" en el título, pero redirigiendo a la página use.ai que utiiza un formato "copiado del de claude", cuando has realizado la suscripción 89.99 € y te das cuenta, solicitas la deolución y cancelación y responden el mismo día que la cancelación si pero la suscripción no. Según las leyes europeas, el consumidor tiene derecho a desistir en los 14 días siguientes al pago sin explicaciónes, pero si el caso es que ha sido "inducido" por acciones comerciales dudosa y no ha utilizado el servicio, más aún. Abierta disputa con mi Banco para que no abone definitivamente el dinero. Utilizan publicidad engañosa, ya que ofrecen conexión con claude, chat gpt, geminis, deepseek, etc... cuando eso no es posible sin pagar , adicionalmente, cada persona en sus cuentas de IA las apis para acceder. No la he probado, pero para como "captan" clientes y lo que ofrecen, que no puede ser "real", me suena a hacer dinero rápido y desaparecer.

Autorisation de paiement PayPal en attente sans consentement, retirée après contact

J’ai constaté la présence d’une autorisation de paiement PayPal en attente pour Use.ai, alors que je n’avais jamais donné mon accord explicite pour un abonnement ou un paiement.

Aucune page claire ne permet de gérer ou d’annuler un abonnement sur leur site : pas de section facturation, pas d’historique, aucune transparence sur les paiements automatiques.

Le fonctionnement de l’abonnement m’a paru opaque et peu loyal, car il est impossible de vérifier ou de contrôler ce qui a été engagé.

Après avoir trouvé et contacté leur support par mail, l’autorisation de paiement a été retirée rapidement.

Cependant, cette expérience reste préoccupante en raison du manque de visibilité et de clarté autour des abonnements et des paiements.

Je recommande de rester vigilant et de vérifier ses autorisations PayPal.

Update: The support team (Daniel) reached out immediately and fully refunded the money. The subscription is cancelled. Fast resolution!

I signed up for a one-time trial or service, but UseAI immediately enrolled me in a hidden monthly subscription of 30 Euros without my conscious consent. This is a classic dark pattern subscription trap! PayPal customer protection failed me, but I have already contacted my bank to initiate a formal chargeback for this unauthorized transaction. Avoid this company at all costs, they just want to steal your money secretly.Update: I demand an immediate refund. I am contacting your support team via email right now with my account details to resolve this.

They are “going” to charge you after the free trial. They are “not” going to refund the subscription fees you didn’t agree to. They are predatory period. Got to Reddit and see. Got to another AI source and actually choose to pay for what you want rather than being forced to pay for something you canceled and don’t use. They are acknowledging the fact that you don’t have a subscription yet continue to charge your account every month as though you do. No refund policy, so you’re basically donating $32.65 a month to them.

Me han cobrado una suscripción de 29,99 € de forma automática. No he utilizado la plataforma en absoluto y ya he procedido a cancelarla porque no la voy a usar. He intentado ponerme en contacto con el soporte técnico para solicitar la devolución del dinero ya que no se ha consumido ningún servicio, pero no obtengo respuesta clara.
Exijo que el equipo de soporte revise mi caso y realice el reembolso de los 29,99 € inmediatamente. El correo de mi cuenta es zamoranexsergio. Acabo de solicitar devolución. En el caso de recibir el reembolso cambiaré mi puntuación aquí. Mientras tanto lo consideraré un fraude. En la Unión Europea hay leyes que amparan las garantías digitales y las devoluciones en plazo por no uso. En caso de no reembolsarme iré hasta el final para que se cumpla la ley que ampara mis derechos.

Use ai keeps charging my bank, I’ve tried to cancel but they tell me that I don’t have an account. I’ve now had to cancel my bank card twice. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Now having to call bank and file a complaint against them.

use AI will charge for services, NOT rendered and will Charge you after you CANCEL AND CONTACT THEM SEVERAL TIMES TO REQUEST CANCELLATION. Due to that FACT in my EXPERIENCE and OPINION this is not a good company to trust your financial information to. A company with NO integrity. It deserves a NEGATIVE RATING. WHY WOULD YOU CHARGE ME OVER AND OVER AFTER CANCELLATION AND A DEMAND FOR REFUND.

I have no idea who use.ai is. I started seeing $29.99 monthly payments charged to my card through PayPal. I opened a case with PayPal and they were no help at all. I contacted use.ai and they have no record of an account for me. I've reported this to my card provider. Unfortunately, there's no way for me to get back the 2 payments that have already hit my account. But I've asked that the card be closed and reissued. As soon as they allow it, I'll be closing PayPal , too. This is scary. I haven't signed up for anything with use.ai, I've never heard of them, I have no idea how they generated a charge to PayPal. PayPal was unhelpful.

Iam extremely disappointed with Use.ai. I signed up for a €1.00 trial, and they immediately charged me €29.99 without clear notice.
Ihave NOT used the service since the charge, and according to EU Consumer Law (Right of Withdrawal), I am entitled to a full refund. I have already canceled the subscription but want my €29.99 back.
Please resolve this immediately or I will initiate a chargeback through my bank and report this to the consumer protection authorities.

They asked me to provide everything possible to verify the charge — my card details, the transaction record from my bank app, screenshots of my account, and every other piece of proof they requested.

I provided all of it.

After that, they still claimed they could not match my account with the payment record. That makes no sense to me. From my experience, this feels extremely misleading and very frustrating.

I wouldn’t even give them 1 star if it was possible. I signed up for the $1 trial and was not informed of a $29.99 fee from the pop up ad I received. This company is a scammer.
