1 hour and 45 mins on “customer care” line only to be cut off after speaking to an agent as the office must have closed. My 87 year old mother in law and bed confined father in law awaiting a boiler service after it was “put off” last year. A service is recommended every 12 months and MIL pays for this via a monthly direct debit to direct and general, this also covers breakdowns.
Given she has not had a service for over two years and you can only book a service direct via valliant is disgraceful. As people get older they need peace of mind that the basics in life are suitable assured to function as they should without the worry that an appliance may need attention. A gas safe certificate is required annually if you rent out a property and I would expect the same service for my in-laws.
Vaillants customer service is hopeless.
Repair and Care plan
Repair and Care plan: they don't reply to emails; if you phone the wait time on hold is over 45 minutes and then the line goes dead. So after spending hundreds of pounds on the Repair and Care plan you spend days trying to contact them and you just get silence. Disgusting, they take customer's money but it's impossible to book and engineer with them.
I’ve been trying to call Vaillant service for one week, there is no service.

Vaillant customer service is non existent. I tried calling twice regarding a service which we had prepaid for, for my elderly mothers boiler. Kept in a phone queue both times for an hour.Tried emailing... Nothing. Engineer called to cancel and rebook the visit she had waited two months for only for him to then tell her he might not even turn up for that visit. Who does that to an elderly lady?! Have now gone down the complaints route with a view to contacting omsbudsman if no refund within two weeks. Although I am sure, with the protection of small print and policies etc., my mother won't receive a penny or an apology.

Seems like it is a similar problem with Vaillant. Purchased boiler 6 months ago and had fitted by registered valiant engineer. On Monday boiler went down with F.28 problem first available time for engineer was Thursday, which left 2 adults and 2 children one 2.5 years old who has just been put on an inhaler for breathing issues and a 3 month old with no hot water or heating. Boiler was fixed Thursday morning even though the engineer was not sure what caused the problem. Today (Friday) the boiler has the F.28 issue again after having a F.29 issues, called to sort problem was told next available appointment was Wednesday next week. Have complained but seems the company does not care once they have your money. Do not buy a valiant boiler due to poor service.
Brand new boiler broke after less than 9 months!
Boiler less than 9 months old. Ecotec 838 fitted by vaillant approved engineers from their own website. Boiler suddenly stopped working and have had no hot water or heating for a week and with 3 young children including a toddler and an adult which chronic conditions. Should have stuck to Worcester Bosch which is what we had before. Currently in a telephone que which I have been in for 40mins only to hear the message there is no one to take my call. Awful service thus far and no sense of urgency to resolve. Covid is not an excuse for shoddy service.

Dreadful service. In telephone queue for 55 mins, then told 'sorry wrong department', eventually got through to someone who gave me a mobile number of the sales rep to ring...... Left several messages and no reply. Now had no heat for over a week. Disgraceful, will never, ever get a vaillant product again
DONT PURCHASE EXTENDED WARRANTY
This product is a complete waste of money, During the service 23 November the engineer caused my domestic electrics to trip out, each subsequent reset tripped it out again on boiler start up. He said there was no more he could do,a new part was needed 090929 the part now required was obsolete, I asked for its part number I found genuine Vaillant on the internet. Vaillant say they wont fit this as they did not supply it, the only option offered a contribution to a new boiler. The policy is with Domestic and General, neither company called back after several hours I tried to get through, long wait on line standard" no more we can do" line, pushed D&G offered a second company to fit the part,they suggested one more they however this company also declined. When I asked what this product offered for almost £460.00 a year there was little reply other than a contribution to a new one. I asked about escalation and was told this can take between three working days and eight weeks. Not great service for the money, I raised a claim in the Small Claims Court, product sold not fit for purpose.Save you cash avoid at all costs. Snow on the way this weekend, no heating, no hot water system,turned a working system into a failed one, then wash your hands of it.

Vallaint Engineer turned up the next day and fixed problem plus checked all round boiler for leaks ect.

Poor customer service - Avoid
A really unprofessional company with poor customer service standards. Installed a EcoTech Boiler and was given a 7 year warranty. Registered the boiler and was then given a 5 year warranty. Sought an explanation about this but the company was not interested. It was what it is and .we cant alter'. Very adamant and could not care less.
If you do business with Vaillent make sure they honour what they and their fitters sell to you. If in doubt avoid move to another boiler brand.

Vailliant combi-boiler for 20yrs with annual service warranty. Today engineer condems boiler yet offers no solution to problem. Same engineer said the same thing 4 years ago while subsequent engineers, scratching thier heads, said otherwise.
SGN came out and cut off the gas to my elderly, vulnerable fathers house.
I have no confidence in Vailliant or Homeserve....

Poor after sales service from Vaillant
I purchased a Vaillant ecoTECpro28 in 2014. By 2021, it is leaking like a sieve. I have to empty the large bucket underneath it every 3-4 days and I have to pressurize it every 2-3 hours.
I booked a Vaillant engineer and all Vaillant could only offer an all day booking. So the engineer would come sometime between 8am and 6pm.
The engineer turned up at 8.15am and unfortunately I was still in bed and didn't hear his door knock. I rang Valliant at 9am as soon as I realised I had missed the engineer. After two phone calls Valliant informed me the engineer wouldn't come back and I would have to book him for another day.
This is shocking poor after sales service from Vaillant. To illustrate my point, I had a previously booked another private engineer to look at this boiler; they gave me a one-hour slot for when they would come; they rang me 30 minutes before they were coming; they suggested I use Vaillant to repair the boiler, since they would be cheaper than using them (how about that for honesty!).
So what I have I now decided to do? I've cancelled Vaillant and asked for my money back for the repair visit (I assume they will fight tooth-and-nail to not return my money). I will go back to the private engineer who will be more expensive, but I know will give me a quality service, unlike Vaillant.
Also, if the boiler needs replacing, the private engineer recommended Worcester boilers.
Vaillant boiler annual service
Vaillant boiler annual service by Valliant group, what a rip off. The engineer spent 10 mins, he did not clean the magnaclean, said it was risky as it could leak, so who is suppose to do this. Asked him to check the water quality, said he had not have a testing kit. Phoned Valliant to complain and they cut the phone off.

24/7 Home Rescue had declared my 10 year old Vaillant boiler beyond economic repair and said the cost of repair would be £710 and they cancelled my boiler service agreement with immediate effect after i refused to purchase a new boiler from them! I contacted Vaillant £285 repair service. Andy Smith Vaillant engineer arrived, repaired the boiler, was professional, polite and efficient and gave me clear explanations of what he was doing. I am so grateful Vaillant for your efficient service and excellent workmanship.
Gewährleistung schnell und kompetent ohne Diskussion
Die Gasarmatur unserer Heizung wurde nach fast genau zwei Jahren ohne Diskussionen auf Gewährleistung ausgetauscht. Und das sogar an Silvester! Der Servicetechniker war freundlich und kompetent und hat sich unaufgefordert an alle Corona Regeln gehalten. Heizung läuft wieder einwandfrei. Wir können Vaillant nur weiter empfehlen.
Don't purchase a Vailant boiler
Vailant boiler isn't even a year old & had issues with expansion vessel & heat exchange. I have had a Vailant engineer out twice & so far unable to fix the problem. I was advised to flush the system which cost £400 but as new radiators & a new boiler the water came out clear & not blockages found. My baby is due any day now & Vailant have left me for 4 days without heating & hot water in the middle of a pandemic. I think its quite appalling & would definitely not purchase another.
