DO NOT BUY A VALLIANT .. my previous boiler was a VALLIANT and I had loads of endless trouble the plumber insisted on fitting another new valiant and after the first year I had trouble this year I have spent over £400 on getting it repaired as the F22 keeps appearing and the pressure keeps dropping just woke today to wash my hair and the water was cold as the boiler was not working again!! If you don’t want to live a life of misery then do not buy this boiler I am looking into now getting a Potterton or Worcestershire Bosh and on top of this they are trying to get my post taken down so no one will

Very bad company
Very bad company. Constant issues with my boiler, only 3 years old and despite regular servicing it has had about 20 faults. Please do not buy a vaillant boiler
Boiler broken after less than 2 years of use.
We opted for a Vaillant against a cheaper brand due to the anticipated quality & life cycle being longer. We had the boiler fitted (inc. magnaclean & all completely new pipework) then moved into the house few months later.
After less than 2 full years of actually using the boiler & getting it serviced every year the engineer was appalled to see the gas valve was leaking gas & no longer working. We’ve actually kept the faulty part for proof.
This resulted in us having to pay £330 for parts & labour. The engineer was extremely disappointed in the boiler & had never had to update the part on such a new boiler. Our system had light use over the less than 2 years since moving in. To make it worse Vaillant couldn’t even locate our guarantee on the system despite us calling up on day 1 to register.
Long story short, Vaillant won’t refund this or even make any contribution. I also requested a phone call on multiple occasions to discuss the individual failings with a manager but they’ve continued to either not reply by email (close to a whole month later) & frequently refuse a call. They’ve also not requested the part back to review its sub par performance.
Avoid the company - certainly don’t choose a Vaillant. As I’ll be taking this further with relevant trading standards authorities & watchdog do let us know if you’ve experienced similar issues. Looking at the other reviews it appears to be a frequent recurring issue!
Apoling service
Apoling service. 3 year old boiler had heat exchanger changed by Vaillant technician who turned up with wrong part, then came back with a part found "in garage". The heat exchanger then packed up one year later and Vaillant now is trying to blame us abd avoiding replacing it.

The worst boiller ever,,,it does not work propertly, is made STUPID,,,all the parts are with problems, just a complete useless machine, Since I bought it,,I had and still have major problems with it, always stayed in cold temperature in the house, as well the stupid electrical wires,,are under the water tank. Imagine.. Who the hell created this garbage. Now everything is made in China,,even though in the stupid Germany. DISGUSTING. I will never purchase this ever again. I AM REPLACING IT TOTALLY , COMPLETELY.

Before you even consider investing your money in this company's abysmal products, know the following facts:
1. Vaillant has 8 separate reviewer sections on Trustpilot (type the word vaillant into Trustpilot's search box).
2. The vast majority of reviewers state they have lost their money with Vaillant and are left with non-working products and company that refuses to respond.
3. There is a single, exceptional Vaillant reviewer section on Trustpilot (again, just enter the word Vaillant into Trustpilot's search box) which has an impressive 9,249 of marvellous reviews, all saying the same thing. The last one posted about an hour ago says "Excellent appliance, very quiet and cute". Cute?? Oh; okay.
[Correction: there are two further reviews in the last 29 minutes; both brilliant, of course].
My point is this: even the likes of Screwfix - a high turnover of products company - doesn't get this many reviews; nor does Ocado. The reviews for Vaillant are posted at 2-5 hour intervals; all insubstantial and I suggest FALSE. It appears obvious that Vaillant has paid a group or company to provide false reviews.
Vaillant directly worked with our installer; Vaillant designed the (£12,000) system for our home; Vaillant directly supervised the installation of the system.
It doesn't work. There have been 7 repair visits by Vaillant. The last time our heating switched itself off (it was 3 degrees outside in daylight hours); they said they'd get someone to us within 3 days!
Today, senior management refuses to engage in dialogue and have advised us to take it up with the installer and the retailer; and to do our best in court.
Inherent design fault?
F28 and F54 fault codes showing after newly installed boiler stopped working. I note from many other reviews this is a very common fault which usually means the gas valve has given up the ghost. My installer said exactly the same thing happened to another of his customers whose boiler had stopped working after 3 days. I think there is an inherent design fault on the Vaillant ecotec plus 8 series
Very poor customer service
Very poor customer service, past from one department to another, as they're trying to get out of repairing under warranty! They have said we cancelled our warranty , why would i do that when it's free ! 😡
Service dept is useless
Service dept is useless. After 2 visits they can't seem to fix my combi boiler which is under warranty. It seems to be in the to hard to do file now and they don't even bother contacting me when supposed to.
Now left with a 2yr old boiler with 7yr warranty that they cant/ won't fix.
I wouldn't get another Vaillant that's for sure
Atrocious customer service and poor product
£4,500 on new Vaillant boiler and V-Smart system. A year later, problems with predictive heating coming on 2:30am - 6 hours before heating set to come on. Engineer came, under guarantee, turned off predictive heating and said he’d be back in touch within 3 days. 3 weeks later heard nothing.
I phoned Vaillant again. Another engineer booked. Terry. He got as far as doorway, said heating curve should be 2.5 not the 1.5 it had been on for 12 months, working perfectly. When it was 2.5 the rads were way too hot, so my installation engineer put it back to 1.5. I live in a very well insulated new property. Terry said taking 6 hours to get to temperature at a heating curve of 1.5 was the system working as it should. I told him I wasn’t stupid. He turned round and walked out. He didn’t even look at the boiler.
Phoned Vaillant again. I was told a senior service engineer would call me to arrange another visit. 4 days later still heard nothing.
The most atrocious customer service I’ve had the misfortune to experience.
I’m currently left with a poorly functioning system, 12 month old!!

Firstly, this is a review of the UK service offering, not the boiler itself, which I'm basically OK with, having had it for 2 years now. Having said that, I wouldn't get another Vaillant, or recommend due to experience with the service dept.
Booked a service online for a date and received email confirmation. Confirmation showed my mobile phone number. Took the day off, waited in all day. Contacted them eventually about 4.30pm as no engineer had turned up. They said the visit had had to be cancelled (but no further detail given). Claimed they had tried to ring the day before but I had terminated the call (that definitely didn't happen!). No cancellation email. After asking for further details, they said the reason for cancelling was to prioritise breakdowns over servicing (which sounds to me like the service department are not resourced correctly). It would also appear that they probably rang my landline, which was not the number on the service booking. They do not send out cancellation emails, I was told, but no reason was given.
The onus was now on me to reschedule - and my appointment showed as unable to be amended online. So I sat in their phone queue for 10 minutes before another announcement cut in asking me to leave a message for callback within an hour. The call never came. Probably a blessing as I could have no confidence that the new date wouldn't be cancelled after taking yet another day off work.
I asked for a refund of the service fee and this did appear on the card a couple of days later backdated to the original date.

£100 scam “fine”
A terrible experience exactly the same as “Sunin” as posted already.
F28 error. Valliant come round and adjust a valve, saying everything is fine now. A week later I get a charge of £100 without any warning from the engineer who visited. Absolute scam, I had to take a day off from work too!
Poor processes and customer service
called an engineer on a Friday due to a water leak in a boiler in the loft which meant that water was leaking through the house.
Was told someone would be around before 6pm. 5pm nothing so called back to confirm and was told they would definitely be there before 6pm. 10 Mins later the engineer called to say he couldn't make it and would rearrange for the Monday. After a number of complaints and phone calls the engineer arrived at 8:30 pm and said it needed a part which he would order on Monday and someone would call me.
Monday, no calls. So i called back and was told the engineer hadn't reported the part required. Tues, someone else came to verify the part required i.e. do the same thing that was already done on Friday.
Thursday, engineer fitted the part and said another part was required and switched off the hot water.
So a week on and the boiler isn't fixed, i've taken 2 days off work and now also have no hot water.
This company really needs to sort it processes out. I thought i'd get the best service from the manufacturer of the boiler but that was clearly a mistake.
Company is a joke
The after sales from this company is nothing short of shocking, completely inadequate service, rude at the office when the engineer had problems, left us worse of than we were originally
Vaillant Scam
Called out Vaillant engineer on 22nd as my Boiler failed with fault code 28 followed by 54. Boiler would work for a few hours if switched off and on, but then displayed the same faults.
Engineer attended and said the fan speed was set too high hence the reason for cutting out. He also suggested the issue was with the gas meter and called Cadent Gas and left. Cadent found no fault, but replaced the regulator regardless since it was old (policy to replace old regulators when they are called out). Boiler worked for a while and then displayed same fault. Called Vaillant again, but was forced to pay their charge as according to them the first fix was not an issue with the boiler even though it was failing with the same codes. Second engineer diagnosed a faulty gas valve and replaced it. Boiler now working, but I think Vaillant are scamming the public -- they are probably aware that if they call cadent out for faults due to a gas supply (drop in pressure etc), then cadent will replace an old regulator; Boiler will still fail; Customer will be forced to pay a fee before another engineer attends. So beware of this 'legitimate' scam. Very disappointed with Vaillant. I promise not to buy their product again.
Warning!!
Warning!!! Do NOT buy vSmart heating control. Vaillant offers a heating and hot water control via app and wireless connection. But it doesn't work allways. At home succes% is some 80-90 % (at least 10% of attempts NO CONNECTION!!). When we are outside the % drops to onlu 60-70. That means, no connection. So we acnnot change the settings of the heating. Do not buy!!!!
Customer Service has only one solution: Install app again.....
On 3 different devices (smartphone, tablet) the same pattern. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
TRAIN YOUR STAFF ON CUSTOMER SERVICE
I do not like to write reviews about companies, but Valliant call centre customer service is beyond terrible.
Not a company I would recommend.
Within a month of back and forth and dealing with their customer service and engineers, I only experienced one good engineer that cared and seem to know what I was going on.
How can a company like Vaillant does not have a system that does not inform engineers of what the last engineer has done? So work is being duplicated and wasting theirs and my valuable time. Three times they have been, and they are clueless about what the previous engineer has done.
The last engineer that came shut my heater off, so I had no heating the whole weekend until another contractor came to fix it.
NOTE: Listen carefully to your customers and don't talk over them, then you will understand the problems at hand.

requested a boiler service as it was under warranty, they wanted to charge me for everything prentended to have an offer on when their prices are high anyway compared to a quick market comparison, boiler under warranty but surprise surprise my issue wasn't covered charged me well over the odds when they arrived. will never use again not bothered about warranty as clearly its worthless
