Thought I was buying from a reputable company. They are based in the Netherlands not Melbourne. The quality is terrible; I had to complete the assembly of the overalls. The buckles aren't attached. Don't buy here

Do not purchase!! Looks cheap but charges premium prices ..Wish I read reviews..Shame shame shame on you Van Hallen .. I just chose any date so do not say you cannot find an order under my user name..I wanted to pre warn others to steer clear from this business..

This is a deceitful, fraudulent company that intentionally misleads in terms of the materials used. The bag I purchased was advertised as leather (it was repeated numerous times across the ad). There is absolutely no leather present in the bag. They will offer you a refund of 10%, then 15% and 20% if you continue questioning. The bag isn’t worth $2… but unfortunately my time is - so they win again. I would not trust them to give the refund even if I did send it back. Having said that, I will report on as many sites as I can.

Absolutely disappointed! I ordered from Van Hallen Melbourne thinking I was buying from a legitimate business with quality products, as they claim to be based in the Netherlands. But the address shown on Google Maps is just an empty lot! On top of that, my order is actually being shipped from some warehouse in China — not what I expected at all. The whole experience feels misleading and dishonest. I would not recommend buying from them.

This is not a melbourne company. It’s a ghost retailer that the ACCC is warning people against. The company is not melbourne nor Australian. After one month I finally received my order and the quality is disgusting! Stay away. I have lodged a complaint with Consumer Affairs and also request to get my money back.

Update : if you argue enough they will give you a refund but refuse to pay for the shipping back to china. So you end up break even anyway.

False and misleading scam. This so called scam is not based in Melbourne. They are base in Shanghai China. Slow postage and item quality is absolutely disgusting. Stay clear of this and do not waste your money .

This business is a scam. They pretend to be in Melbourne to trick you into buying their clothes. They use images of quality products but send you counterfeit cheap Chinese knock offs. You’d look better wearing a potato sack! When you ask for a refund they tell you that you have to pay the shipping back to China and import fees. If you have been scammed by this company report it to ReportCyber
If you paid by credit card dispute the transaction with your bank. The more people that take action against these scammers the more likely you are to save someone else from being scammed

⚠️ Terrible Experience with Van Hallen Melbourne ⚠️

I bought a suit online from Van Hallen Melbourne and was extremely disappointed with the quality — it looked nothing like what was advertised. The fabric felt cheap and the fit was completely off.

When I asked for a refund, they gave me the complete runaround. I followed every instruction they gave, spent a ridiculous amount of time and money on return postage, only to be met with delays, excuses, and no resolution.

This has been one of the most frustrating shopping experiences I’ve ever had. I would not recommend Van Hallen Melbourne to anyone. Terrible quality, worse customer service.

Save your money and shop elsewhere.

JUST DONT !!! Wish I saw trustpilot before I ordered. Spent $400 here, the clothes are so tacky and cheap, you can tell theyre just dropshipped or something.
Tried to return, you have to SHIP TO CHINA, and pay for this yourself. They offer a 30% refund without returning, but then dont reply until AFTER THE RETURN TIMELIMIT.
Out of pocket $400.

Horrible garments.

If Google had a ZERO this would be my rating. (Of course, their comapny is not registered on Google) Van Hallen Melbourne (VanHallenMelbourne) is NOT a Melbourne company. They are Not a legitimate Australian business. Not listed with ASIC. I have registered my complaint with scamwatch and ACCC. This place is unlikely to be legitimate anywhere in the world. This questionable company delivers poor quality items directly from China. The quality is like you would find at a bargain market, except they charge retail prices. Shipping is slow, took 1 month to arrive. The clothing was poor quality, had holes due to poor stitching amd pilling amd loose threads. When I contacted their email support the run around began. They offer increasing discounts instead of a return address. The return address given was for Zheijiang Province, China, where I paid the $37.20 for international post. The parcel arrived and sat in customs for months while I awaited confirmation it would finally reach its destination. I have just had it arrive back today as an uncalimed, refused parcel. This 'company' (a loose term in their case) has no place for business in Australia. This review is 6 months from the delivery date, and I am out of pocket the purchase and the cost of returning their garbage stock. Absolute SCAM. BUYER BEWARE! I hope they disappear from any country they dare put their fake brand.

Utter garbage! Such low quality, slow shipping, non existent customer service. This is clearly a scam with different products sent to what is depicted on website.

Delivery was quite slow. Almost 2 weeks. The product is decent, nothing more.

I had to email twice to get tracking. They replied, but I expected faster updates.

The vest I bought was actually see through,no inner padding absolutely rubbish. I foolishly thought being based in Europe I might have received something that might keep you warm, you would probably pay $12 in Kmart. Never Again. It comes from China the very, very,cheap kind.

Poor quality Chinese import, lengthy time for shipping, did not fit at all, no tags on item, company is based in Netherlands not Melbourne Australia. Will not honour the refund policy as shipping takes longer than 7 days to return to Netherlands. Do not waste your time and money!

I did some digging before buying from this company - they pretend to be melbourne based, use an Amsterdam address and operate multiple other sites using either the same website (translated to Dutch, targeting netherlands), VAT number and/or address. Reviews have them based in China. Obviously not a legitimate company.

When a product doesn't fit (XXL the size of a M) youre offered with an option to pay 25% of what you purchased it for originally on another size (there are no bigger sizes) or 15% of purchase price refunded and you keep the garment. Disappointing and not worth the trouble.

Sizing was a bit off, and the material feels thin. Okay for occasional wear.
