Scam
Please be aware when ordering your free sample you will automatically be subscribing to the monthly subscription.
This is a massive publicity/subscription scam. The auto subscription is very well disguised so be very cautious.
I ordered a free sample in May which when received was ok... no sooner I received the free sample I was charged £26.00... I then recieved a packet of Gold Dust a few days later... which I had not knowingly signed up for. I have now cancelled this subscription which took numerous attempts as they make this very difficult. I have not recieved any refunds from this company but have received a numerous emails asking me to take down my review & if I did so I would recieve a full refund... I decided not to take my review down but I am unable to find it so this is why I am reviewing a second time.
I have also received an email from Trust Pilot asking me to fill in a survey asking me why I have taken down my review... I haven't taken my review down!!!
This company is very unscrupulous & deceitful as they have unknowingly taken money off me & also somehow taken down my first review without my consent.
Please avoid at all cost.

Free trial = £2.99 shipping and automatically hitting you with a £28/m subscription that you didn’t ask for.
Very sharp practice and I’m pretty sure that it is illegal.
Referring to trading standards.
Companies who act in this way should not be trusted … certainly would ingest anything they’ve made!!!

What no Fairies
Well, as a person with multiple conditions, and having used complimentary medicine before, when I had glandular fever, I thought I’d give Gold Dust a go, I tried the free sample first and it tasted great. I was intrigued so I thought let’s give this a go. I lack energy, firstly because I have multiple conditions, including one related to my stomach, I have lung issues and to top it off in February it appeared I’d had a stroke, thankfully I haven’t but I still don’t know what that was, all will be revealed I’m sure.
Anyway back to the GD, it tastes great, you would never know it was packed full of shroomy goodness, it’s easy to prepare, the pack comes with a scoop in the correct size. And, this is a big one,as I don’t drink and don’t do illicit drugs, it didn’t make me dance in the garden with fairies. It helped with my bloated stomach, No, not from over eating, from bad breathing technique and bad belly, silly 🤪
So all in all, Gold Dust has been a win/win for me and quite honestly it’s cheap.
If you are still not sure, do the free sample thing, try before you buy, that’s what I did, to be honest I’m a cheapskate 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Anyway that’s enough from me, off you pop, get ordering that free sample, and btw no fairies were harmed because none were seen 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Gives me great mental clarity.
I first got this as a freebie sample and I’m so glad I did as it has given me mental clarity from the first drink. It has a lovely chocolatey taste and I use oat milk which makes it lovely and creamy too. I also use a whisk to make it nice and frothy, and the froth is a little added bonus. I subscribe to make sure I have regular deliveries and so that I never run out. I would highly recommend this product.

Got the 5 day free pay for shipping. Very tasty hot chocolatey drink and tasty little gummies. Enjoyed them. Wasn’t in a position to continue with the subscription. Got given a full refund. “Free Sample” Turned Into an Unwanted £28 Charge
Update: Since leaving my original review, Variety has reached out to me personally. They refunded me in full, cancelled the subscription, allowed me to keep the products, and both the founder and the escalations team contacted me directly to apologise and make things right.
My original concern was that I genuinely believed I was only signing up for a free sample, and I hope the sign-up process is now clearer for future customers. That said, I think it’s only fair to recognise how seriously Variety took my complaint and the effort they made to resolve it. While my initial experience wasn’t a good one, their aftercare and willingness to put things right deserve credit.

I’m really disappointed with the way Variety has gone about this. I signed up under the impression that I was receiving a free sample bag, not that I was being entered into a subscription or charged £28 afterwards.
In my opinion, this feels very disingenuous. A free sample should be exactly that, a free sample. If there is a subscription attached to it, or if the customer is going to be charged later on, that should be made extremely clear before they sign up. It should not be hidden in the small print or presented in a way that makes people think they are simply trying a product.
It is already hard enough to earn money nowadays, especially with the current state of the economy. Bills are high, food is expensive, fuel is expensive, and most people are trying to be careful with every pound they spend. So to suddenly feel like I have been scammed out of £28 after signing up for what I thought was a free sample is extremely frustrating.
I have been able to start the return process, but honestly, that does not make the situation acceptable. What makes it even worse is that I am also expected to pay for the shipping to return the product. So not only have I been charged for something I did not knowingly agree to, but I now have to spend even more money just to send it back.
It is ridiculous that I now have to spend time, energy, and extra money out of my already busy day to fix a problem that I feel I was tricked into in the first place. I should not have to chase a cancellation, arrange a return, pay for return shipping, and worry about getting my money back for something I did not clearly consent to.
The whole process has left a bad taste in my mouth. It feels like the offer was designed to get people in with the idea of a free sample, only for them to then realise afterwards that they have been subscribed or charged. That is not a transparent or trustworthy way to deal with customers.
If a company genuinely believes in its product, it should be upfront and honest about the cost, the subscription terms, and what the customer is agreeing to. People should not have to read through every tiny detail just to avoid being charged for something they did not clearly consent to.
I would strongly advise anyone considering signing up for a “free sample” from Variety to be very careful and double check everything before entering any details. From my experience, what was presented as a simple free sample has turned into unnecessary stress, wasted time, extra return shipping costs, and a £28 charge that I feel I was misled into.

Would definitely recommend after…
Would definitely recommend after firstly trying out the trial pack. I really enjoy the cocoa beverage and it is now part of my morning routine. My energy levels and sleep are definitely improving. I also liked that Variety did not pressure me to take up the subscription as I had cancelled it initially as I hadn't found time to try the product - I can be forgetful !
I am keen to try the Vanilla...

I don't know how long this stuff is supposed to take to work but i feel like I've just been conned into buying a very expensive pouch of drinking chocolate powder. I've not noticed any difference in how i feel at all. It tastes fine, but you need an electric drinks whisk to get it to mix with anything

Constipation
The powder gave me really bad constipation, im always very regular, i see myself as healthy,great bmi etc, so not sure what happened but wanted to write review to warn others. Initial results were promising so its a shame it had this affect on me.

Free sample
I tried the free sample which came with 5 sachets and a big jar of cherry gummies. I love the gummies and really like the drink also. I replaced my first coffee in the morning with the sachet and I make it with hot water and milk as if it were my normal coffee. I really enjoy it and I only need one in the morning and I seem to be more active during the day than I normally would with my normal coffee. And I definitely as drinking too much coffee but for the last few days of trying this drink, I havent looked for my coffee. Which is amazing for me trust me as I normally drink too much coffee! Im really excited to order again.
