Calls divert to offshore call centre and local caller then sent out repair man in unmarked vehicle. Lots of unnecessary parts replaced to inflate cost. Invoice from fake third-party business with no ABN. New motor and rail incorrectly mounted, causing garage door to scrape. No reply to messages asking for help. Office address was unattended, with several deregistered businesses present. Reported to authorities. I contacted Merlin, who kindly sent a technician to fix the incorrectly mounted motor and rail. Excellent service from the manufacturer. Dov from Vibe Garage Door Repair subsequently came to my home after he was contacted by Fair Trading. He apologised for the original poor workmanship and overcharging by a sub-contractor. Issued a partial refund and provided a proper amended invoice. A satisfactory resolution.

It was very rushed work, now adjustment or serviced after installation of Merlin unit. No quote was given, priced for the replacement unit was 780$ plus 700$for the installation. Make sure shop round, I miss Peter local guy who used to service and always check the mechanism, look for any deviations and smooth spinning of the door. So 2 stars for replacing the motor, rest of the service I have to hire again someone who is familiar with Australian service standards. I won’t recommend to anyone.
