After my Viettel SIM from the airport expired, I made the mistake of buying an eSIM from vietnamesim.com (operated by Gigago) — overpriced, poor coverage, and hotspot completely disabled on their “unlimited” plan. Couldn’t take it anymore after 5 days and went to a physical Viettel store to get a new SIM. Staff were genuinely helpful and the difference was night and day — strong signal everywhere, hotspot works perfectly. Should have just renewed with Viettel from the start.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

“1 star. Being charged a ‘service maintenance fee’ without any clear explanation says a lot about the level of transparency here. The system works perfectly when taking money, but nowhere to be found when customers need answers.”

Effectivement les forfaits ne sont pas chers et configurés directement sur place. Cependant j'ai obtenu une carte SIM dysfonctionnelle : je perds constamment le réseau 4G/5G au bout de quelques minutes d'utilisation, voire quelques dizaines de secondes. Ensuite j'ai de nouveau de la connexion pendant un temps très limité, avant de la perdre à nouveau.

Je suis alors revenu dans cette boutique pour expliquer mon problème.
- L'employée au comptoir a d'abord regardé sur son ordinateur pour me dire que mon forfait est bien actif.
- Le problème s'est alors produit sous ses yeux. Elle a activé puis désactivé le mode avion et m'a dit "maintenant ça refonctionne". 🤦‍♂️ Oui, mais c'est temporaire.
- Lorsque le problème s'est produit à nouveau devant elle, elle a regardé dans mon téléphone et m'a dit que "j'ai trop d'onglets ouverts dans mon navigateur"... Ne me prends pas pour un imbécile, je semble mieux connaître le fonctionnement d'un téléphone que toi et cela n'a rien avoir avec la captation du réseau 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
- Je lui explique que je voyage depuis 5 mois et n'ai jamais eu ce problème avec la dizaine de cartes SIM utilisées jusqu'à présent. Cela ne peut donc pas être un problème lié à mon téléphone.
- Ella a sorti son traducteur (alors que nous échangions en anglais depuis le début) pour me redire que "mon forfait est bien actif" et qu'elle ne peut rien faire 😮‍💨

À aucun moment elle n'a daigné simplement remplacer ma carte SIM, ce qui est pourtant le plus simple et le plus évident à faire pour régler le problème ! Le personnel ne semble être formé qu'à encaisser les transactions et non à résoudre les problèmes...

Mạng internet tệ, thay gói mới dùng được 3 tháng mà đứt cáp, hư hệ thống 6 7 lần, và toàn hư giờ hành chính lúc đang làm việc.
Báo lỗi thì toàn hẹn tới sớm, nhưng sớm nhất là 3 tiếng sau thời điểm báo lỗi hoặc nếu báo lỗi từ 16h là xác định 8h sáng hôm sau mới được support.
Quá tệ cho dịch vụ đã dùng 10 năm nhưng chất lượng hiện tại không ra gì, phải gọi là tệ của tệ. Tẩy chay viettel.

Không bao giờ chọn nhà cung cấp này. Kết nối kém, chặn các trang web ngẫu nhiên không vì lý do gì, hỗ trợ không ra gì, cái nhà mạng này nhiều tiền rồi nên đéo thèm để ý gì đến khách hàng.

I bought a SIM card with a plan and tried to create an account on shopee but couldn't because the number was linked to a banned shopee account. I went into the store where I bought it and raised the issue with them. They told me that I'd have to buy a new SIM card in order to get a new number. Ridiculous!

Bought a $12 sim at the HoChiMinh airport. The girl at the desk put it in and set it up. 30 days unlimited data and some phone calls included. Went from the ChiChi tunnels out of HoChiMinh, though Phu Quoc up to Hanoi then Sapa, then up to the border with China. Did not miss a beat all the way. Would highly recommend.

Very low skill and very poor attitude in store when I changed phones and wanted to move my number. A rude member of staff said it was not possible because my phone was American (it is not American) Then I went to another Viettel store who fixed it immediately. So clearly the problem is poor training and not my phone

I am a tourist in Vietnam and bought a SIM card in an official Viettel store in Vietnam, valid for 30 days and I can use 6 GB per day. No one told me that only 2 GB of this is usable nationwide and the other 4 GB is only usable in certain areas of the country. If I had known, I would not have bought the SIM card. I travel all over Asia and many other places every year, but have never experienced anything like this. I am disappointed and angry that I spent money on something I cannot use in Nha Trang. This is the first and last SIM card I have bought from Viettel.

Worst internet provider. Always have connection problems. With premium prices but quality can only described as frustrating bad. The only good service of the company is their mobile data service's range. The only reason they are still standing is because they have been in the scene for very long. Would recommend FPT as your network ISP. There price/quality is highly outclassed. Whilst having a younger work force and newer technology.

I bought a Viettel sim card when I got to Vietnam for travelling and it's very convenient to sign up the sim card. The connection was stable whenever I went to. Recommend this

I paid 20000 vnd for mobile credit that I did not receive. The customer support email just replies the same thing every time I ask something in English.

The price is cheap. Service is spread nationwide with support from high-tech logistic system. Should you when you come to Vietnam
