I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from Schengen Holidays. I approached them around three months ago to arrange a holiday to France and paid £120 in advance for assistance with a Schengen visa appointment. Despite clearly stating that my destination was France, they booked me an appointment with the Irish Embassy in Manchester without my knowledge or approval. This appointment was completely unsuitable and resulted in the loss of my first £120.
After raising the issue, I specifically instructed them not to make any further bookings without first consulting me. However, they again booked an appointment without my consent, this time in Scotland. I live in Birmingham and had clearly informed them that I was looking for an appointment in London or Manchester. I was also due to be out of the country on the appointment date, making the booking unusable and causing me to lose another £120.
What disappointed me most was not only the poor handling of my case, but also the lack of professionalism when I requested a refund. Instead of taking responsibility or offering assistance, I was told to “go legal” if I had any concerns.
Based on my experience, I found the service unprofessional, poorly managed, and lacking in customer care. I would strongly advise others to ensure they receive clear written confirmation and approval before allowing this company to make any bookings on their behalf.
