AI has eaten this company alive

AI has eaten this company alive. Nearly impossible to contact a human via any channel. My voip service was down for a week. The gateway device would reset the instant the phone went off-hook. So no outbound calls, couldn't answer inbound calls. Initial contact wanted a photo of the enet cable plugged into the gateway. Then needed a photo of the cable going to the router. (???)
Eventually received a replacement gateway. This one did not reset at off-hook, outbound worked. Inbound failed, the GW had a totally wrong phone number configured. No access to a web interface, none of the factory reset procedures would clear this number. Spent most of the day 'chatting' with AI, opening new service tickets, tracking tickets, responding to AI emails. After about 8 hours eventually got a human contact who reset the GW number. All works now, hopefully long enough to port my number over to a different VOIP provider .....

I would like to give zero stars

I cannot believe that leaving zero stars is not an option, because this company does not even deserve one.
Voiply is absolutely terrible. Their text messaging feature has never worked, despite being clearly advertised. They do not stand behind their product, nor do they show any concern for resolving customer issues.
Customer service is essentially nonexistent. It appears to be handled entirely by AI, with no access to a real human representative. When you do attempt to get help, responses can take weeks—if they come at all.
Additionally, their yearly billing practices are questionable and misleading. The entire experience with this company feels like a complete joke.
Everything about this company is unacceptable, and I strongly advise others to avoid this company

Audio quality from purgatory, AI assistance from hell

I signed up for TrustPilot just to leave this review.

I HATE HATE HATE HATE Voiply. The audio quality is AWFUL. I had Skype for 15 years, and Voiply is a hundred times worse. On at least a third of my calls, I can barely even understand what the person is saying.

And that doesn't even get into their customer service. Their AI customer service makes me want to tear my hair out. For example:

I have taken hours and hours and hours of my valuable time to get past their idiotic AI 'assistants.' The idiotic AI assistants wanted me to check my network. But I've used Voiply on MANY different networks, so that's not the issue. They wanted me to do the SLP thing, but their app wouldn't download onto my computer (and I provided screenshots). Then they told me to re-download, which I did, and it didn't make any difference. Then they told me to re-provision it, which I've done, even though it's unlikely to accomplish much when the re-downloading didn't do any good. Then they closed my ticket, so what am I supposed to do when the re-provisioning also accomplishes nothing? Go through this whole idiotic process again?

The ONLY reason I have Voiply is because I can't seem to find any other VoIP where I can port my number without having to use a cellphone app.

I doubt there's any other company that makes me so viscerally angry.

24/7 support is a scam - Hackers hacked my app

24/7 support is a scam. There is no support of any kind. Will get AI bots on phone, chat and email. Customer support and issue resolution is through AI bots. They can't fix anything. These bots close tickets for no reason. Trying to fix SMS issue for the last 20 days and getting only Bots with no solution. Also, international calls don't work either. Run for your money, this is a useless service and hackers can easily hack it. They hacked my voiply app and I can't remove hackers connected app from the portal. VoiPLY bots are of no help either. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE SCAMMERS AND FRAUDESTERS.

The voicemail system sucks

The phone works but its voicemail system sucks. You can never talk to a person to work it out. The AI created three tickets and promised someone will get back to me every time, but no one did, it is very frustrating when you cannot screen your calls with this system, especially when there are so many spam calls nowadays.

I've had this service 2+ years

I've had this service 2+ years. It was ok until they "upgraded" service in Feb 2026. Now I can not retrieve voicemails, text went away and AI customer support has not been able to give me live support. I just paid another years service in January (when it was working). I guess I'm stuck for another 11 months.

Used to be good

Used to be good. Now, they messed up my service by putting my residential account on the business page platform. Now my app does not work, I can't text and I'm missing calls and its been this way for over 2 weeks. If you call support you will never be able to talk to a tech, just a AI. They promise a callback, but never do.

Worst Cutomer Service Ever and Security Issues - Don't use

Has always been mediocre service. I'm not sure when, but when muy phone was stolen in Colombia a couple of weeks ago they took many days (if they have ever acted) to turn off access to voiply on my stolen phone. Changing password doesn't do this. Dozens of calls to their AI customer care yielded nothing and zero of any of the calls promised back.

Now they are dragging heels on porting. Wel the are bstrucvting porting.

They also have different billing and porting address on file raising fraud and other issues

This company feels like a bunch of kids


This company feels like a bunch of kids from Carnegie-Melon started it as a school project and just left it to some "AI" computer to run after they moved on to bigger and better things!

If there's a problem, there's no (ZERO) human support - you have to speak to the friendly "AI Agent" named Jack, who is as clueless as "he" sounds stupid - it's like having a conversation with a moron.

(And if there really is no "AI" computer and they voices are just fake overlays of people in the Philippines call center, well, even worse.)

Even when you want to speak to sales you get some southern sounding lady AI voice which is all-too-folksy and cute, and just about as useless.

How this company makes any money or gets and new customers is beyond me.

Try it your yourself - call them at (412) 533-5533 and try to talk to that inane "agent" - you can not get a human being and the system is so annoyingly unresponsive that it's nearly futile to attempt to accomplish anything.

Now some people may say "Well, who needs to talk, I like to chat online and take 30 minutes to accomplish something which can be done over the phone in 3", well, fine, but when something goes wrong and you need to diagnose a problem, it's a LOT easier to actually speak to a person instead of type endlessly back and forth.

And before some perky computer AI agent tries to reply to this and say "Sure we have customer service - all you have to do is ask the agent and someone will call you back...", well, not really - they had a bunch of outages on New Year's Day, and when they were asked to have a human call back, no one did. It's really hit and miss with the callbacks.

It seems they are basically telling you "We don't want to speak to you and we don't want to pay to have people, well, you know, actually -work- here, and we're oh-so-trendy that we do everything via "AI"and "virtually", you know...", to which the answer is "Yeah, I know, and do you have the passwords for the port codes so I can move my service over to Vonage or anyone else less idiotic that Voiply?"

Basically, there are many other providers at their price points (which have increased by about 40% since we started a few years ago), and those providers have an option to speak with someone when something goes wrong, so why put up with the nonsense of Voiply's "AI Agents" and lack of proper support??

Worst phone ever

Worst phone ever. The phone keeps not working and it says "101 is not available, leave a message". I call just to talk to machine that does not understand me. Chats are ridiculous long with the machine then finally you get to talk to someone that is no help. They say adaptor is offline. Why the hell is it offline when my internet is working fine. Adaptor came from Voiply so it is not my fault. Then they reset- just to say "it's still offline". I've been having to drive to my old grandmother's house to turn on and off the adaptor and it still goes out in another day. Switching to another phone company. Sick of you Voiply. Have someone fix this problem, instead of giving me a run around with the bots talking.

Basically no tech support

Basically no tech support. Only support seems to be Artificial Intelligence not a human agent. I've asked several times for a tech support supervisor to call me after my call forwarding was not working for the last week. No one ever calls back.

Good service just to receive calls

Got this line for work, to be connected at least 40 hrs a week, I ask multiple times about this usage on the "customer service" line that is clearly not inside of the company about it, read reviews and nothing about extra charge or hours of usage...
I received a charge for over $20 weekly, called customer service looking for answers, person just suggested to receive the calls and ask my family to call me instead of me calling!!!
I wanted to get another plan, at least have same monthly payment not weekly surprise charges, I understand the usage, sent email and got stock on IA customer service line for hours, not real agent could answer my call again, sent email to this Yanco person that sent spam email acting like they have a great customer service never an answer back...
Not mad about the almost $200 extra that I paid in less than 2 months, just feel scammed, no real customer service inside company and the service hired to answer their calls doesn't have the right information.

Horrible customer experience

I'm a client located in Canada.
First of all, the worst part of my experience was every time when I called either to their technical support or their customer service it was always a computer generated voice on the other side of the line. Perhaps a real person was typing the responses live while I was asking them questions or perhaps it was AI. Either way, it was the poorest customer experience. It kept asking me to repeat myself over and over again.
After several days of back and forth the line is still not working.

Service was great for a year then the


Service was great for a year then the hardware failed. We followed all the troubleshooting guidelines they provided, determined the grand stream device was bad. Contacted support, after 2.5 hours, of asking us to do all the same tests. During that time we asked to be escalated to a manager 3 times and they kept playing games and not getting a manager. Finally got someone else they wanted to start over with the troubleshooting process. We had to cancel the account all over again $30 piece of hardware and poor customer service.

Signed on Voiply in July

Signed on Voiply in July. For residential phone. During the porting process, my internet mysteriously was canceled.
Signed on for Voiply internet. It's now September 1st, and so far no phone, 1 hour of internet. This company sucks. Do NOT waste your time or money dealing with these incompetent fools
Customer service is a runaround tactic. Excuses and delays, and playing hell to get this service cancelled.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !

Voiply has charged me 89% tax on my


Voiply has charged me 89% tax on my subscription. That is insane and when I asked for explanations, they simply said it's collected by government and they have no control. I am yet to find out which state or country charge this much tax? Worst customer service and they never got back to me to clarify this massive tax that collected which is illegal.

I tried at least six times to get a hold of an agent to address my issue. Unsuccessful every time because AI intervenes. I was finally able to get through at 12:00 a.m. Eastern time.
