Great bike
Great bike. Love the style. The wheel lock and heavy chain lock are a great idea. I like the way I can turn the lights on while I'm on the bike. It's easy to use and being my 3rd e bike over 12 years, it's my favourite for sure. Wish I'd gone to volt for my first one. Only done short runs so far, but looking forward to longer rides when the weather turns better.

Inaugral ride was electric!
Have owned the bike for nearly three weeks before using a break in the incessant rain to take my first ride. Immediately felt the difference with the power on FULL, especially when setting off on a hill. It's almost imperceptible the amount of assistance the electric motor gives; and it takes you by surprise when you realise it's a third quicker than the conventional bike. Sheffield is very hilly and it makes a massive difference; you still need to put some effort in, but my nearly 70 year old heart is much happier!

Volt lite foldable e bike
Easy to order on the Volt website. The bike was delivered in a few days to a local volt dealer who assembled it ready for collection. Having ridden the bike for a good 50 miles I’ve found it to be responsive with sharp handling and the build quality is excellent. Customer service is first class giving me confidence in maintaining the bike going forward. I look forward to more interesting products from the company in the future.

The Volt Connect has revitalized my life post-retirement, allowing me to accumulate many miles. Riding it is a pleasure, and the pedal assist makes tackling hills delightful. I acquired a demo bike, and I'm thoroughly satisfied with this smooth buying experience.
Brake Pads
Great bike - I’ve had it now for over 2 years. It now needs new brake pads. Cannot find them anywhere on the Volt website!!!
2 Year Old Volt bike repaired and returned, great service
I have owned my Volt bike for 2 years, it was one of the best purchases I have ever made. I use it most days for a commute to work about 15 minutes each way. I occasionally use it for further commutes and the battery life is fantastic.
I recently had an accident where someone reversed into me. Damaging the rear wheel.
I took it to volt bikes they quickly arranged for the bike to be inspected and reported damage to the frame and rear wheel. A new frame was arranged along with rebuilding the motor into a new wheel. for speed I agreed to a slightly different colour frame (which I prefer to the original). The quote was provided quickly so I could collect the money from the third party. The bike was repaired and returned to me super quick and I was happily back on the road.
Then a couple of days later, as a good will gesture I was offered an extension on my warranty.
I can safely say Volt bikes and the team in London have provided a fantastic service. I cannot recommend them enough.
Do Not Order Online, Extremely Unreliable
My wife ordered an e-bike from Volt in October, with a confirmed delivery date of 24 November. Not only did the bike not arrive on time, but after an additional two-week delay, Volt informed us that they would not be able to deliver the bike until January 2026. This was shocking and demonstrates extremely poor operational management.
Because of this failure, we have been forced to spend £300–£400 every month on shared e-bikes (Forest, Lime, etc.) just to meet our daily transportation needs. Volt has not offered a proper refund with compensation for the financial losses their delays have caused.
Based on our experience, I strongly warn others: do NOT order an e-bike from Volt unless the bike is physically in stock and ready to deliver immediately. We are deeply disappointed and have now started formal legal action to recover the losses caused by their delays.
This has been one of the worst purchasing experiences we've ever had. ( included my order number for verification)
Metro LS ebike: absolutely wonderful
I bought a Metro LS ebike about 6 months ago, and I absolutely love it. The bike looks fabulous, feels extremely well built, and rides like a dream.
All the features are of a a high quality - the seat, lights, handles, even the bell. I haven't felt the need to upgrade anything. The bike is very comfortable and easy to ride.
And in terms of power, I've been really impressed. There are four speeds but I've rarely needed to go above level two - even with the stiff coastal breezes and steep hills where I live. There's a small lever that gives you a little extra push when you're setting off, which is also helpful.
This is my first ebike and I found it super easy to get the hang of the controls. It's a folding bike with smaller wheels, which makes it very manoeuvrable. Best of all, it's great fun to ride!
Highly recommended. Ten out of ten.

1. Sympathy, with an assurance they'd collect the bike and fix it
2. A payment link for a new part, no instructions, a caveat that the part snapping was probably my fault for not checking it enough
3. Being told they never pick up bikes, no sympathy. A promised callback from another department that never happened
Pretty shoddy stuff, and I'm worried to ride the bike again given how a load bearing aluminium piece sheared off mid-ride.

Have my pulse bike for a week
Have my pulse bike for a week, bike 14 miles a day, volt team arranged for a test ride, at Steve's cycles in Hull, fantastic shop, where customer service comes first, can't fault the bike, at all, it's much better than I expected. Would recommend volt bikes and Steve's cycles, to anyone wishing to purchased a e bike.
What a great bike and company
I have had my Volt bike a couple of weeks now and what a difference it has made. I have more incentive to get out a cycle now and it will mean I use less fuel by not using a vehicle so much

Good battery range
On a previous review I scored volt bikes 4 and would have liked to score them 4.5 so here is a 5 star review to make it so. This review revolves around the continuing pleasure I am getting from my Volt Connect bike and the range I can get from a single battery charge.
I am now retired 66, and around 101 kg, trying hard to reduce this. Recently on 3 outings I covered 62.5 miles on one battery charge with 7% left in reserve. I used the 1st level of assistance (E) only, 100% of the time. My fitbit recorded 5460 ft of elevation and bike, rider and panier bag filled with essentials weighed in at 129 kg. I thought that was pretty good. These rides were workouts rather than leisurely longer days out. However I would be confident of completing 50+ miles using all levels of assistance if necessary on one battery charge without the fear of running dry. 🥳
Poor after sales service.
Good bikes but customer service is poor. I ordered a new rear wheel for my Pulse in early July. Didn't turn up with excuses about not being able to het the spokes. Went on holiday mid August using the old wheel. Came back early Sept, the replacement wheel has now arrived but is the wrong size. So another interminable wait, no idea when we will get a resolution.Disappointing as we like the bikes.

Just hope that your battery never fails…
We purchased two e-bikes from Volt in early 2020. We had to wait a while but were very pleased with their quality when we finally got them. However, my wife’s battery failed in July this year, after only 600 miles of use. Unfortunately, replacement batteries aren’t readily available and, despite being promised that a shipment was expected in August, we’re still awaiting advice that they’re available. We’ve been unable to enjoy cycling during the hot summer, as the bike is just not fit for purpose if replacement batteries are not available. I note that Volt are still advertising their e-bikes (through companies like John Lewis) and I imagine they come complete with a battery! This is not the after-sales that I’d expect from the self-claimed ‘UK’s most trusted e-bike company’.

Great service from Portsmouth Cycle Exchange. Volt sent an Alpine down for me to test ride which was great and I must admit the styling is fabulous.
I'm a bit miffed that I missed the sale price by a couple of weeks. I could have done with the saving but there you go!

Outstanding customer service and a top quality product!
My experiences dealing with Volt have been fantastic from the outset. The initial call with one of the team was really helpful steering me to choose exactly the right bike for my requirements. When ordering I requested delivery by a specific date as I wished to take the bike on holiday with me. Unfortunately, there was a potential problem with battery availability but the Volt team were really pro-active and rang me to tell me they would arrange a 'loan' batter to ensure the bike would arrive on time - which it did!
Having used the bike for a couple of weeks, I am delighted with the build and ride quality. Everything about this company exceeds expectations!

Very helpful advice from VOLTBIKES.co.uk; having had a chat with Leith Cycle Company, Edinburgh. They were very generous with their time when I tried two Volt Bikes; the first I was not so happy, and went on to choose Volt Pulse.
Also Leith Cycle Comp were most helpful with their advice and going over various matters when I went to collect the Pulse from them.
Also I very much like your VOLT PRINTED USER MANUAL - which includes a servicing guide in a very practical way....Thank you.
