My experience in India as a volunteer was amazing. I had the oportunity to visit Jaipur, Agra, Taj Mahal, Puskar, etc. Shiva’s family is really helpful, they inform you about India and they take care of you during the experience. However, the school program is not well organised. When I arrived I received very little information and they did not have any planning of activities and contents to teach the students, so every volunteers repeat the same activities every time and you feel that you do not help much.

My volunteering in India was absolutely wonderful. I discovered a country full of contrasts, incredible people, it was endeed one of the best esperiences of my life. I was there for a month in a project with children in an orphanage, I wish I stayed longer, those children took my heart.
As you get there you are created by Shiva, his wife Kajal and their daughter Deepshika, they really take care of you and follow your actions in the project you are involved in.
For me, as I said, Cooperating in India happened to be something really special that will always stay in my heart.

I volunteered in Uganda for 2 weeks and it’s been one of the most wonderful experiences I’ve ever had.

I volunteered with them this summer in Zanzibar. It was my first time and I completely enjoyed. I felt very safe and all the team made sure I felt like home. The best experience I have ever had so far!

Me he sentido súper arropada, cómoda y segura en todo momento por todo el mundo, en especial por mis coordinadoras Betty y Gabriela que han estado súper pendientes y me han hecho sentir como en casa desde el primer momento, no he podido estar más a gusto y tener más suerte con ellas❤️

I have been with my sister in India this summer 2025. The family is incredible, helpful, and we feel at home. The school program was very interesting, it was 15 minuts with the tuk tuk of the family. I truly recommend this program. In the afternoon and during the weekends we have done many things. You can't be bored in India, every day is amazing.

Mi experiencia personal con Cooperating Volunteers fue muy decepcionante. Sentí que la agencia tenía un control excesivo y que, en muchas ocasiones, no nos permitían realizar actividades que aportaran un valor tangible. En el programa de voluntariado comunitario, mi percepción fue que nos utilizaban más como mano de obra gratuita que como verdaderos voluntarios, con escaso respeto y encargándonos tareas que, en mi opinión, carecían de sentido.

En lugar de colaborar con la comunidad o acompañarles en la búsqueda de empleo, realizábamos nosotros todo el trabajo, lo que, desde mi punto de vista, no generaba un impacto positivo real. Algunas actividades, como plantar árboles sin una planificación clara, me parecieron irrelevantes. Yo llegué con la ilusión de generar un cambio y aportar algo constructivo, pero acabé sintiéndome inútil, como si mi tiempo y esfuerzo no hubieran servido para nada.

Durante las dos semanas que estuve allí, se mencionó que habría un karaoke semanal. Sin embargo, en mi experiencia, nunca se nos animó a participar: uno de los coordinadores estaba enfermo y los demás no mostraron disposición para llevarnos.

Por el coste del programa y el resultado obtenido, considero que mi experiencia no mereció la inversión. En mi opinión, la gestión fue deficiente y el trato hacia los voluntarios muy mejorable, por lo que no recomendaría esta agencia.

Compartir esta experiencia con el equipo de Jaipur, nuestra familía india que nos ha acogido estupendamente, hemos vivido las costumbres de India de una manera muy auténtica. El programa escuela gracias a los voluntarios, los niños de la escuela pueden aprender inglés, con dos semanas me voy muy satisfecha ya que hemos conseguido que aprendan canciones en ingles, escribir colores y números, construcción de frases sencillas. Hemos podido realizar una donación de nuevas pizarras y material escolar para el el colegio. Aunque sea poco, aqui en la India es mucho. Gracias por esta magnífica experiencia.

La mejor experiencia de mi vida, la volvería a repetir sin duda ninguna, me todo de coordinadora Gabriela y fue como una más, nos ayudaba en todo y estaba muy implicada en las necesidades que tuviéramos tanto nosotros los voluntarios como en los colegios que teníamos asignados. Fue una experiencia increíble que me encantaría que todo el mundo pudiera vivir.

Acabo de volver de Senegal hace unas semanas y cuando me preguntan por la experiencia solo puedo decir cosas maravillosas, la excelente atención y cuidado por parte de los coordinadores que se entregan al completo, la buena organización de los programas y lo enriquecedora que es la experiencia hace que esta sea la mejor experiencia de mi vida hasta ahora.

Mi hija Berta (17 años) ha vivido una experiencia inolvidable en Senegal. Desde el primer día se sintió acogida y arropada por todo el equipo del voluntariado y por la comunidad local, que fue simplemente maravillosa.
Ha disfrutado muchísimo y ha crecido como persona, valorando aún más la importancia de la solidaridad.
Senegal le ha dejado una profunda huella y estoy segura de que ella también dejó parte de su alegría, cariño y energía allí.

I volunteered in Kenya and I am very grateful to have done it with Cooperating Volunteers because they have given us a lot of security and have organized many activities in which Betty and Gabriela have accompanied us and have been attentive to us 24 hours a day. I am also very grateful to Hector who has done everything to make sure we are well and safe. THANK YOU COOPERATING!!

I really enjoyed my volunteering experience here. I felt welcomed and supported by the team every single moment. I learned a lot, met great people and would definitely recommend it to others.

Mi hija de 16 años acaba de volver de Diani (Kenia) y solo habla maravillas del programa de guardería, de Cooperating y las personas que lo forman, de la gente que le ha acogido y cuidado en la casa de voluntarios, de la realidad tan distinta que ha visto….y como madre, que tenía mucho miedo en dejarle emprender esta aventura de dos semanas, no puedo estaros más agradecida, tanto por la labor que lleváis a cabo, como por cuidar de la forma que lo hacéis a los menores voluntarios.

Cooperating Volunteers made the process as smooth as it could possibly be. Jorge Montes was my coordinator through the process, and he was extremely helpful and always willing to answer ALL my questions. I started the process in December, and my trip took place in June of 2025 in Tazouka, Morocco. Once I was placed under Abdo in Morocco, then that transition was seamless as well. However, Jorge never left me stranded. I believe the monthly training session are essential, these are packed with great overall information, it could be overwhelming at first, but you do have the option to join as many as you want and can focus on the information that you might need a refresher on. Once in Morocco, all I have to say is that I gained a family! I had an experience that I will NEVER forget, Abdo and his family are nothing but welcoming, warm and so pleasing. I wish I could have stayed longer. As I write these words I can't help but shed tears of mixed emotions, bittersweet ones. Happiness because I am, in a way, a much more grounded person with a better perspective because of them. Sadness, because a part of me is back in Tazouka, Morocco and I miss them dearly...
Needless to say, I will be repeating this experience again... no doubt in my mind. I don't know if my teaching Spanish and painting the school was significant, but those children and the cultural interaction that I had with them have changed my life and for that THANK YOU!

Estuve de voluntariado en Zanzíbar durante el mes de junio, y solo puedo decir que ha sido una experiencia increíble. Todo estuvo muy bien organizado y me sentí segura y acompañada en todo momento.
