Swimvincibles & Water Babies
My 5 year old has been attending Water Babies since he was 9 months. We’ve found it an incredibly bonding experience. This year he has moved to the next stage in his swimming lessons- Swimvincibles. It was a big transition at his age but he is loving it and thanks to Mhairi for all support and encouragement. I continue to attend Water Babies with my 3 year old and she loves her classes with Paul at the Nuffield, Milngavie. It really is the best early to start for a child to gain swimming confidence. Couldn’t recommend it more- thanks to all the Water Babies team!

Water babies are so gentle and patient…
Water babies are so gentle and patient with our babies each week. Giving us the confidence to be in the pool with our babies but also teaching them basic skills which are so important. I’ve loved watching how far my daughters came in the past few weeks at swimming all thanks to her teacher.

Ronan loves his swimming classes
Ronan loves his swimming classes, he has became so confident in the water in such a short time thanks to Mairi. She has been amazing and such a lovely person. The skills he has learned so far are great.

A well organised, well taught, fun introduction to water safety for babies and tots
Granddaughter of 2 years has been going to waterbabies classes for most of that time and enjoys it thoroughly, as do I. It’s a wonderful experience to enjoy something so much that is also teaching us both about water safety, and giving us the skills to keep her safe in and around the water. And already giving her the basic skills to be able to swim.
We have experience of a number of different teachers but also appreciate that such changes have been infrequent. Shout outs to Paul and Marie who really engage with the individual tots and move things along so we’re never bored. The organisation and training of the teachers is very high quality. I count myself lucky that we have been able to share this fundamental experience.

We've been with waterbabies since our 2 year old son was 3 months old, it's a fab flexible team, happy to work around my schedules in coming back to work and shift changes ect and make sure my wee guy can keep swimming! He is coming along amazingly, beginning to chain up skills he's learned and kick his legs and move his arms, I think he'll be swimming before we know it! He loves water and the bath thanks to the weekly swimming lessons. Thank you for everything!

The highlight of our week
The highlight of our week. We’ve been doing lessons for 4.5 years with our firstborn and now back for round 2- and still loving it. Teachers are so friendly, small classes, perfectly tailored to what babies can do and how long they’ll manage. Highly recommend

Wonderful !
My son attends the Wednesday 1pm class with Jade. For many months, he would find being in the water upsetting. Jade was very patient and encouraging, and she got the balance right between keeping him involved in the lesson but not pushing him too much. He now loves swimming and spends the entire lesson smiling. I'm so grateful for Jade's patience and friendliness. She is such a wonderful teacher! I also love how she explains the reasoning behind every skill... it makes you appreciate that the Water Babies curriculum focuses on the development of their swimming and safety skills xxx

Staff great, cost expensive …
Kerry and Mhairi were absolutely brilliant! The reason for 4 out of 5 is the cost. I understand it’s a life saving skill, but a lot of mums are on maternity leave that employers don’t give full pay and the opportunity for an underwater photo shoot again, brilliant, but far too expensive.

We do appreciate your feedback regarding the cost of lessons and the underwater photo shoot and we completely understand that our price point can feel high especially with rising costs. Unfortunately we are unable to make any changes to this at the moment.
We truly hope that we will be able to welcome you and your little one back to the pool in the future.

Water babies was an amazing class
Water babies was an amazing class - my son loved it! The instructors were so calm and patient, there was no pressure and a great atmosphere. I only had to stop going because of returning to work and the class no longer fitting my schedule. Otherwise we would have stayed!

Thank you for your lovely feedback! We are so happy to hear that your son loved his Water Babies classes and we really appreciate your kind words regarding our calm and patient teachers and the class atmosphere. Our teachers do work super hard to make sure that the classes are fun for everyone.
We are sad to hear that you had to stop your classes due to returning to work. You are more than welcome to return when your schedule allows and we are happy to look at class options for you at any time.

Our experience at water babies is great…
Our experience at water babies is great every week. My little boy started when he was 12 weeks old and from a young age created great habits in the water. He went until he was 1 years old then gave it up for a year due to maternity leave ending. We rejoined this year when he was two and a half and those habits are still there. Our teacher Paul is amazing with all the kids and the quick progression they make in the water is amazing. It is a costly class but I’d say it is worth every penny for the skill and confidence that is built in the water

Water Babies
Water babies is absolutely amazing
Water babies is absolutely amazing. What a difference I’ve saw in baby from day 1. We’ve been going since he was 8 weeks old and he’s now 5 weeks. His instructor Paul is a reassuring and we do everything at Leo’s pace. If Leo isn’t having the best day Paul will do everything to try make him a lot bit happier and enjoy his lesson. I highly recommend. Only down fall is it’s a bit expensive for maternity pay but if my baby ends up being confident in swimming then it is worth it.

We love our classes
We love our classes! We’ve been going to water babies classes since my little boy was 9 weeks old, it’s been incredible to see his confidence and skills grow. Our instructor Claire is so kind and patient with not just the babies, but parents as well.
Swimming classes are my most favourite I do with my baby.

My son Alfie is loving his water babies…
My son Alfie is loving his water babies swim classes. He has bonded with Mairi really well which has helped with his keenness and excitement for the class. It is clear to see that the structured lesson plan is improving Alfie’s confidence and all round ability in the water which is so pleasing to see.

Fun & well structured lessons
I started my baby with his swimming lessons from 4 months old and he's absolutely loving it. He gets really excited to go in the water and it's lovely to see him make progress and improve in confidence.
The lessons are well structured, and I like that you can track progress and expected skills via your account.

Loved it but too expensive!
We loved attending water babies every week! Our teacher Kerri was amazing.
Unfortunately the cost was too high to manage every week and we had to stop. Although the classes are fantastic, the price is not justified. We would have loved to continue with water babies.
I also wish that they would not allow new families to join when you are a well established group. We were on week 9 when another family joined and it just didn’t make sense.

We appreciate your feedback regarding the cost and the introduction of new families. We do close classes after week 4 to allow some settling in time and we then re-open around week 10 to ensure that the class numbers mean we can continue running the class. Water Babies
I find the classes quite expensive for…
I find the classes quite expensive for what they are, especially when compared with other offerings. We haven't had the same teacher throughout the blocks we've done which has t helped my little one to get comfortable with the lessons. And not entirely water babies fault, but the venue changing rooms are freezing, several times weve not been able to wash my kid at the venue due to it being so cold.

Thank you for your feedback, and we’re sorry to hear that the class costs and your recent experience haven’t met your expectations.
We do make every effort to contact all of our swimmers after they begin lessons. Unfortunately, we were unable to reach you but we left a voicemail asking you to get in touch if you had any questions or concerns. We completely understand how busy things can be for parents, and that it’s not always the best time when we call.
When your notice was handed in during October, we were not made aware of any of the concerns mentioned above. We would have really appreciated the opportunity to discuss these earlier so that we could address and resolve anything possible. As a family-run business, we genuinely care about all of our swimmers and their experience with us.
Regarding your teacher, we aim to keep lessons as consistent as possible. Your permanent teacher is still recovering from an illness, which has unfortunately caused some unavoidable changes. However, we have tried our best to ensure it is the same cover teacher each week until she is able to return.
With respect to the changing rooms, we have not previously been made aware of any issues. We do have procedures in place for when concerns are raised, and we will look into the changing room temperatures at the venue to see if anything can be improved.
We would love for you to continue swimming with us or return in the future. Should you wish to discuss anything further, please do get in touch with the office.
