The lessons are well structured and knowledge and learning seems to flow within the lesson and links to prior lessons.
The teacher, Ellie, explains through examples and demonstrates using the children which addresses any misconceptions.

Julia is a great informative teacher and Theo is thriving in the water, a true water baby!

Both my boys love their lessons! Claudia and Hannie are amazing, they keep them engaged, whilst having fun and learning how to be safe in the water. They LOVE snorkelling 🤿. Thanks Water Babies!

Gemma is the best swimming teacher, she’s been amazing with my daughter who was 3 when she started. She went from being petrified of water to swimming confidently. Forever grateful.

Amazing and hard working staff and atmosphere everyone feels welcome and very enthusiastic to learn to swim the little ones love it and are growing in confidence in swimming and even forming friendships as a toddler mom I’m so happy that I found Water babies and would recommend to any and everyone ❤️🥰

My little boy & myself love coming to our swimming lessons! Hayley is the best instructor and takes time to know each baby individually so you know your little one is getting the best from their lessons. I have the confidence to now take my little one swimming in my own and his confidence has grown so much too, he loves the water :)

The standard of teaching is really good and the lessons are varied and interesting. However there have been numerous instances where lessons have been cancelled or rearranged at short notice. At £18 for 30 mins it's also quite pricey.

My little girl started swimming at water babies with hannie at 6 weeks old she is now 6 month old and we couldn’t ask for a better instructor. Hannie runs a smooth and enjoyable lesson every Tuesday and my little girl is thriving in the water we couldn’t thank hannie and the water babies team enough

The small class sizes, the quality of the teaching and the amount of fun the children have is brilliant. Each child is treated as an individual. Teachers are supportive but will challenge the kids as needed and show that they believe in the children. The skills are built up under the guise of fun and the children all seem to have great technique as a result of the teaching. My son has extra needs but the teachers have engaged him and he’s learnt to swim independently.
More importantly he enjoys it! The only negatives are that the parent portal can be confusing to navigate but I believe this is being worked on.

Friendly, helpful, fun and exciting
Everyone is so friendly and helpful you can tell they know what they’re talking about before you even swim. Ivy absolutely loves her lessons every week with hannie

I have had a number of interactions with Water Babies over the last few years but I must admit that our latest teacher Hannie has been amazing, she really is incredible at what she does, she has such care, patience and passion for teaching little ones to swim. Thank you for everything you have done for Hattie and Bea.

I have also got to give Claudia a shoutout for always having the highest level of customer service and care dealing with queries!

Mel is a great swimming instructor. She always remembers the children's names and makes the lessons fun and engaging.

My daughter has come along way in the last few weeks from clinging to me the whole lesson, to being happy swimming with noodles, trying out different techniques and finally even putting her face in the water which was a big step for her.

My daughter really enjoys her swimming lessons and looks forward to it each week :-)

We had a photoshoot done in Acomb, York. The changing room was small but it was fantastic to see his regular teacher there as it helped his confidence. It was really well organised with the Water Babies teachers taking turns to activities in the water to entertain us and keep us warm until it was out turn to be photographed. If the shoot wasn't right, they retook it. The photographer dipped under as I let go of him but there was another teacher there to monitor and keep us both safe just in case.
The photos didn't take long to be processed and got sent so I have digital copies to keep forever.
I put some Christmas money towards the cost which worked for us.
