Outrageous
I ordered one item from the US. Usually, it's really fast and I get packages in a maximum of 2 weeks. This time however because of DHL was different. It's been a month! From the 11th to the 15th of December, my order arrived in some warehouse in the US. Until the 22nd of January, it didn't move even an inch. Excluding the holiday season, it's a whole month. Today, I checked again their tracking website and there was information that my parcel was delivered, today. Wonder where, no email, no SMS, no phone call, nothing. I hope some moron (pardon my words) put it in my mailbox.
If I could I would give half of the star, but his company doesn't even care about customers, so what's the point.
Horrible service
I ordered from 2 suppliers from the USA and they use DHL Global mail. It said they it should arrived in 8 to 12 days and now it has been 4 weeks. First, the order dispatched at 1 nov. they processed complete in Melrose, Il. Then I wait for 1 week, it said arrived at the destination country,in germany, but in my country. Then they processed it again since 12 Nov. Now the tracking is stop working at 16 Nov. And I have got nothing.

Such utter b**ls**t company. 3 weeks I've waiting for my package (Thats over 15 business days) only to get told by Stackry that they redelivery my package to them this morning WITH NO REASON so I chose FedEx to ship this time instead. Btw Stackry like MyUsAdress are good freight forwarders, they should remove DhlGlobalmail as a option. Always use UPS or FedEx at least they (with both which I use) update their tracking properly instead of saying on route for 3 god damn weeks and when enquiring just get told they only have recieved electronic notification yet the shipper confirms it was picked up. Funny how when I put in complaints with the actual DHL I get a result. I complained to 3 different facilities around the world including my own countrys. They have s total different tracking number system not the common 10 digit waybill. Dont use this company!!

I did order a package from Germany to may address in Spain the 20 of March tracking no. Provided the 23 of March.
But I think DHL España does all it can to drive me crazy.
My mail address and my front door address is unfortunately in 2 different street address. But everyone else than DHL can figure it out.
On the 27 I check the DHL track and trace on the internet, and it say could not deliver becourse no body at home. I change the delivery address to the address o my front door. And I print out maps and instructions how to get there ( which is quite simple ) and put it on the main address gate as help to find the address to the front door.
30 of March Monday . No package, I get info via tracking that there have been a attempted delivery, but could not find it. I called DHL office and explain how they should go to the street for the main entrance, I gave her mi phone no. And my E-mail. And she promised me that the package will arrive tomorrow at the 31 of March.

I called DHL office again and explain my now frustrations that DHL is the only company that canât find out of it. She excused and took all my data again and promised me that the 1 of April was my lucky day... I told her I have put a paper at the gate of the postal address showing direction to the main entrance, I did already yesterday give all my data and phone no. So he could call me if he couldnât find it. But no they are not allowed to use company phones to call the clients. I told her I think he is not even at the right address at the first place, that he is driving to a total wrong place and looking. But no no that was not possible. And she didnât wanted to listen to that. But tomorrow you will get it she promised me.....
1 of April. Wednesday, By the end of the day DHL called me. Sorry we canât bring your package today. Do I need to tell DHL was started to drive me crazy.... but tomorrow we will bring it for sure was the promise, ( do I need to tell I donât give much for all DHLâs promises...)
2 of April. Thursday. Still waiting. And I am pretty sure I donât see my package today ether, he is probably in the complete wrong place, like I have tried to explain them over the last 5 days. But they obviously know better......
We shop quite a lot on the internet. But from now on I have to ask what shipping company they are using, and if they use DHL I have to ask them to sent it with another company or I have to buy for somewhere else there is not using DHL.
Is this first time I have this problem...... NO. The same happened less than 2 months ago. Where they just put my package to at DHL shop. There had closed for the following 2 days. And after that I could not get my package becourse the lady in the shop did not have the code for the DHL computer so I had to come back when the owner of the shop could come back.

Scam shipping site!
If your parcel is being sent via DHLGlobalmail - don't expect to see it. My experience has been the store saying it's out for delivery.... the tracking never progresses and as soon as you're outside of the guaranteed delivery window, the shop disappears and ignores all contact. Meanwhile my item still shows as processing complete.

Honest Review from a Merchant
Iâve been using DHL eCommerce (used to be DHL GlobalMail) to ship around 50 shipments in the past few months for my phone case business (kulorcases.com). So unlike most reviews here regarding individual lost or delayed shipments, Iâm here to provide a more holistic review on DHL eCommerce (note: Iâm also using Aramex, EMS, Airmail, UPS, FedEx, etc. ).
Delivery Performance
My business is HongKong based and we used DHL eCommerce to ship to SE Asia, Europe and the US. The committed transit time is around 7-17 working days for most of the regions mentioned above. And out of the 50+ shipments, I would say 20% were delivered on time, 50% were delivered late or delayed and 10%(!) were lost. As a benchmark, Postal Airmail has lost around 3-5% of my shipments, Aramex has lost ~1% of my shipments and UPS/FedEx has lost none.
Most delayed items were routed via their Frankfurt hub. For example, items that were shipped from HK to Australia, US, Taiwan, Singapore were all mindbogglingly routed via Frankfurt. And given the time required for them to ship to the destination countries and then pass to the local postal service for the final leg local deliveries, it usually takes much longer time for them than their committed transit times. However, items shipped to Europe are usually delivered on time and faster than HK Post Airmail.
Cost
Their shipping costs are around 10-50% higher than HK Post's Airmail/e-Express (e.g. ~HK$40 vs $23.8 to the US) and about 1/2 to 1/5 of prices of tier 1 couriers like UPS and FedEx (for 0.15kg anyway). Airmail typically takes 7-14 working days to deliver, UPS takes 2-3 days to deliver.
Service/Support
I find their tracking to be worse than postal service. Even though their selling point to us merchants is that they provide "end-to-end" tracking, the reality is that, for a number of main markets, it only tracks the items until the point where they are supposed to hand over the items to the local postal service. So most of the time, the tracking of the shipped items work great in the initial phase of the shipment, but it sadly tailed off towards the end, which is really not much use to me and my clients.
In terms of their support and delivery staffâs professionalism, itâs the worst shipping company I have ever dealt with. I have asked them to help me integrate their APIs to our shipping software. After a few rounds of intial discussions, their "integration manager" simply told me that our volume does not warrant such integration and simply asked me to use their excel spreadsheet to upload my orders manually (note: they have recently released an app to integrate to my Shopify backend but it was buggy as hell.)
Moreover, given the 10% shipment lost rate (and many angry emails from my customers), I had plenty of chances to deal with their DHL eCommerce's support. Every time they simply provided me with a) either tracking information that I could easily find on my portal, or b) a canned response telling me to ask the receiver of the shipment to seek help from the local postal service.
Bottom line: DHL eCommerce (which is different from the tier 1 courier DHL Express) is only an airmail/ postal service in DHL's disguise. The DHL brand does help give my customers some confidence but their service is really terrible in terms of transit speed and shipment lost rate. And the fact that their services actually cost more than the HK Post's airmail/e-Express services, I would suggest to anyone considering to use DHL eCommerce to avoid this company.
WORST DELIVERY SERVICE
I ordered a package from a shop in the US but ever since it had arrived at DHL customs I had nothing but problems. Firstly they withheld my parcel for 7 days without contacting me or updating the tracking. I emailed them as I was concerned that my package had gone missing as I had not been contacted about any possible custom fees (other companies contact you straight away outlining any charges) and I had no way of knowing where the parcel had got to. I had an email back stating stating that I need pay charges and that my parcel would not be released unless I phoned the
provided phone number immediately and gave them my payment details.
As you can understand I was a bit apprehensive with them asking me to provide payment details without outlining the charges and also due to medical reasons I cannot use the phone which is why I contacted them by email. I emailed them again to explain that I cannot call them due to medical reasons and I also asked if they could tell me exactly what the charges were. I also asked if they could explain why they had kept my parcel for over seven days without notifying me of any charges I had to pay. I mentioned that I'd been waiting almost a month and that I required the parcel by a certain date and that the seller had told me the parcel would arrive before a specific date. They then replied by resending me the same email they originally sent (but this time it was a bit ruder that the last) asking me to ring the number and give my payment details if I wanted the parcel to be released.
I had to then contact the company I ordered from to explain the trouble I'd been having, they apologised but said they couldn't do anything. I told them that it had gone passed the date that they said it would arrive by (and the date I needed it by) and that I wasn't getting anywhere with DHL. The company gave a refund and asked me to notify them if the parcel turned up. I told them I'd inform DHL that the order had been cancelled and refunded, which I did but received no response.
then on august 1st 2017, I received an email off DHL customs outlining the charges and asking me to pay them by July 29th 2017 or the package would be returned or destroyed. I asked why they were sending this to me now after I told them I'd cancelled the order because of the hassle they put me through. I also asked why they were sending me an email on august 1st when the email stated payment was needed by July 29th. They didn't reply but a couple of days later they sent me the same email AGAIN. then a few days after that they sent me the same email for the third time. I filled out the complaint section of their website explaining all the problems I had with them. They just asked for my parcel details. No apology or explanation. I sent them the details and asked them if they could stop contacting me asking for payment for a cancelled order I was feeling harassed and had already gone through so much hassle with them. The person who replied said they couldn't find my parcel but they sent me a link to another DHL website asking me to fill something in. Again, I had no apology or response about the issue raised in my complaint. Then today I opened my emails to find ANOTHER email from them asking me to pay them immediately or my package would be destroyed or sent back by July 29th (this email was received on august the 11th.
Since DHL are refusing to listen to my complaints and concerns I am posting this here. The whole process has been very time consuming and draining. I just want them to leave me alone and stop sending me the same email over and over again.
To anyone thinking of using this company. DONT. if you are a buyer, You will not receive your parcel or any assistance. Then you will be constantly harassed for over a month about a parcel that was never received. If you are a seller, you will be forced to issue a refund for goods that the buyer did not receive and DHL probably won't even send the goods back to you.
