First and foremost, the conduct you have described is completely unacceptable and does not reflect the professional standards we require of every member of our team. Comments about personal drug use have absolutely no place in a customer interaction, and we are deeply sorry that you were subjected to this. Likewise, any suggestion that service quality depends on how a customer treats our staff is contrary to our core values — every customer deserves the same professional, respectful experience. We have escalated this matter for immediate investigation, and appropriate action will be taken.

We also apologize for the equipment issues during your appointment. A malfunctioning printer is not the prepared, professional experience we promise, and we are addressing this with our team.

Regarding the valuation, the online estimate is based on the information provided by the customer. During the professional, in-person appraisal, our team identified several reconditioning issues that were not reflected in the online estimate, including:

• Front bumper scratched
• Rear bumper scratched
• Driver side front alloy wheel damaged
• Accident history detected — police report filed 3/17/2010 in Hempstead, NY

The $300 adjustment for the vehicle wrap relates to the cost of complete commercial decal removal, which is a standard reconditioning process required before the vehicle can be resold. This includes full removal, adhesive cleanup, and paint inspection to ensure no damage to the panels underneath.

Our OBD-II diagnostic scan also revealed two codes:

• P1000 — OBD Systems Readiness Test Not Complete
• B2290 — Occupant Classification System Fault, Front Passenger Side (Restraint Control Module)

B2290 is a safety-related code involving the airbag system's ability to properly detect a front-seat passenger, which must be resolved before the vehicle can be resold.

Regarding the engine noise deduction you mentioned, our Area Manager will review the appraisal in detail and discuss the specifics with you directly. We invite all customers to join the appraisal process so they can see what we see and understand how a vehicle's condition affects its valuation.

We also want to be clear that we never want any customer to feel pressured to accept an offer. Our appointments are conducted in a pressure-free environment, and you are always free to decline our offer and keep your vehicle. We are concerned that you felt you had no choice, and this will be addressed in the follow-up conversation with you.
