Hi and thank you for choosing webuyanycar.com to sell your 2015 Hyundai Elantra. You have many choices when selling a used vehicle and we are thrilled to have earned your business. You should expect five-star customer service every time you choose webuyanycar.com and we're sorry to learn that we fell short.

Like any professional buyer, we carry out checks on any vehicle we buy. This includes checking the physical and mechanical condition of the vehicle and running checks on the vehicle history and vehicle diagnostics.

Thankfully, the vehicle was in good shape, but a check of the CARFAX revealed that the car had been involved in multiple accidents. These were reported by a State Agency in Charlotte, NC and Police Reports were filed as well.

The first was on 3/1/2017 and damage was sustained when the Elantra was in a front impact collision with another vehicle and the airbags deployed. The other one was on 9/11/2019 due to a rear-impact collision with another vehicle. While the damage seems to have been well repaired, the accident remains a permanent part of the vehicle's history and is revealed to prospective buyers every time they run the CARFAX.

Unfortunately, any reported accident results in what is known as "diminished value". It's a well-known issue with reported accidents which means these vehicles do not get the same resale value as similar vehicles which do not have police accident reports on their records. Insurance companies usually pay out more on insurance claims to cover the future diminished value of the vehicle. It's not fair, but this is the reality of the used vehicle market, and we have to take into account the impact this has on the resale value when we make you an offer.

Despite the accident history, which was beyond our control, we're pleased to see we were able to make you an offer you were happy to accept but we're sorry to learn you are having second thoughts.
