Very friendly staff who came to pack and load our boxes

Craig and John made the whole experience, so easy. My husband called to advise they had collected all our stuff and the guys rocked up on time in Dunfermline to get me all set up They were kind, considerate and very professional. Thank you so much

The staff made moving so much easier than it could of been. The driver/ packers were amazing.

If I could have given a no star rating I would have done that.
We moved 8 times as a family, using a removal company. Only 1 claim, 40 years ago, for a missing rod from a cot. Cot replaced, no fuss.
I have moved myself 3 times. No removal company. Nothing broken, lost or damaged.
Then the unique White and Company experience. Removal into storage then out to my new home. I swithered about whether to pay for their insurance given that they were doing the full packing service, but on the off chance that something might get damaged I decided to pay for that though in the end that was a false economy. I paid almost as much for the insurance as they paid me in compensation and much less than the damages have cost me.
They showed a total disregard for my possessions, as demonstrated by the number of breakages, items lost and items damaged.
A broken, nearly new 3 drawer chest which had obviously been dropped on top of something completely breaking the bottom of it.
A nearly new sideboard chipped.
A lost tv aerial.
Lost bits for the rebuilding of a bed.
A broken glass lampshade.
The glass from a picture frame shattered, not even wrapped separately but loose with some other pictures.
A chipped cup.
And why would you put 2 open bags of flour in with other food items guaranteeing that everything in the box, plus the floor, would be covered in flour?
Now I have found my Christmas decorations. More broken items. These are carefully packed after Christmas each year in their own boxes inside a box marked Christmas decorations. They appear to have been tipped over and turned upside down to be taped and scattered out of their own boxes resulting in several breakages.
I eventually found one of my work shoes in a box of random items out in my garage. Goodness knows where my garden lights and two further mugs are. I am just glad that I decided against letting White and Company move my potted garden trees and shrubs.
Today's find was a can of 3-in-1 oil whose top had been broken resulting in spillage over some garden tools.
I received no acknowledgement of my first payment for the removal until I asked for it.
I had to complain and beg for my furniture to be released from storage at a time that suited me, two weeks earlier than they were originally prepared to let it go.
And worst of all...I paid for the storage and the release of my belongings in 2 separate payments. The removers turned up at my door saying they couldn't unload my things because I hadn't paid. An embarrassing conversation out in the street in full hearing of anybody passing. Eventually they conceded that one of the payments had been received and the other had been rejected because, apparently, I'd made a mistake with the CVC code on my card but nobody had told me in spite of knowing before the lorries arrived at my house.

All in all a shocking experience from start to finish.
I wish I had chosen the very reliable Edinburgh-based removal company we used to use. If I'd wanted my stuff broken or damaged I could have done it myself. Nobody expects anything to go missing or get broken in a house move, especially when you make the choice to have all your stuff packed by the removal company employees. Accidents do happen, but this amount of damage is sheer carelessness and shows a complete disregard for other people's possessions.

It's not so much about the level of compensation though that is something this company needs to think about if they're going to continue to act this way, but who thinks it's okay to lose, spoil or damage so much of someone else's property?
That is not okay. The removal men seemed quite proud of the fact that they are an international company with the MOD contract for moving service people around the world. Really?

As one of their employees admitted, "We could have done better." Really?

I worked with the Dunfermline location for a very last minute overnight move from Glasgow to London, Connor and Chris were so lovely and quick! The admin staff were also so helpful and nice, listening to my every need and requirement. Highly recommend!

Fantastic service from the initial survey to the unload at our new place. From Debbie (Dunfermline) who answered all my emails promptly to all of the removal men (who work non stop) I have zero complaints. A price that I was happy at considering we were moving 470 miles away. Great service, thank you.

Superb service from beginning to end - courteous and helpful communication in advance, and excellent, hard working removal teams who supported us throughout our move

The two personnel that did the packing, loading and unloading for my move were faultless, very methodical, helpful and kind which made the process easy and quicker. They did the move from Chicksands to Leuchars on the 28/08/23 to 31/08/23. I can't remember their names but they were very professional and kind. Once again very happy with the move.

Have used whites 5 times now & find them always to be helpful, organised ,reliable & easy to deal with . Staff are great 👍

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The pick and delivery of the items went without any issues and on day / time as arranged. Would definitely use the company in the future.

The guys were personable and helpful throughout the move. We found the whole experience very simple and the organisation was fantastic.

The crew were friendly and professional. Whether by design or by chance, the same crew were responsible for our removals 2 Years ago and were again present for our move in, which made a difference. There was no time wasted and the job was completed in good time.

Speaking to a person made you fell more important. The staff were helpful and pleasant. The person who came to the house and viewed our house, garage and garden contents was very helpful and gave advise as to what to expect in the packing and delivery to new property. The removal people when they came introduced themselves and were courteous. They worked well together and worked like Trojans. Would recommend them

Everything went very well, from the 1st contact to the last (collecting all empty boxes). Leo and Michael were very efficient during the removal.

Very willing and able workers. Very much obliging. All 4 on the 11th Aug were a credit to your company. Simon, John, Keir and Craig lovely Gentlemen.

Craig and John were thoroughly professional while moving me and my family from one end of the country to the other during a particularly challenging move. They worked extremely hard, never complaining, moving a lot of heavy furniture as well as showing a great problem solving ability in overcoming the various issues along the way.
They were extremely friendly towards my 2 young children who had a great time with them during our move, they particularly enjoyed learning Craigs jokes about everyday household items!
