Soy fotógrafo profesional con 15 años de experiencia y un portafolio de más de 20.000 fotos en Wirestock. He pagado cuotas Premium durante años y ahora, tras sus "cambios de política", mis ingresos han caído un 90% sin ninguna explicación.

Han pasado de ser una distribuidora seria a ignorar completamente mis avisos legales. Me han devuelto la suscripción sin yo pedirlo para intentar silenciarme, pero mis 20.000 fotos siguen bajo su control y ya no generan nada. Es una gestión nefasta de la propiedad intelectual. No responden correos, no dan la cara en Discord y han enterrado años de mi trabajo manual. Si estás pensando en confiarles tu trabajo: HUYE. Están usando el contenido de los colaboradores para sus propios proyectos de IA mientras nos dejan sin los ingresos que nos pertenecen.

¡Exijo una respuesta real y el cumplimiento de sus contratos de distribución ya!

My experience with Wirestock has been pretty negative.

Not because of the business model or the projects—in fact, the projects can be really interesting, and at first I was very motivated to collaborate and create as much as possible.

However, based on my experience, the project management for areas like Virtual Try-On and Character Consistency lacked what I would consider basic project management structure, industry understanding, and clear communication.

This created a lot of unnecessary challenges for freelancers.

I fully understand that freelancers are not employees and that no one is perfect, but there should still be a baseline of respect, professionalism, and clear communication in any collaboration.

At times, it felt like freelancers had very limited ways to voice concerns or get meaningful responses, which made the situation even more frustrating.

There was also a lack of transparency around projects, frequent changes in rules, and difficulty getting consistent or clear answers. Support responses were often slow, and it felt like responsibility was not clearly taken by project managers when issues arose.

I hope the company can reconsider the management, see these issues and completely change them. Wirestock has so much potential and all of it is being ruined by some individuals who are apparently extremely unaware of what they do, at least based on my experience with them.

Where do I even start?

The core idea of the company is great, and the business model has a lot of potential. That’s why it’s frustrating to see how my experience was affected by what I felt was very unprofessional management.

I worked on several projects with Wirestock, namely Try-on project and character consistency, and unfortunately, my experience with management was consistently negative.

At one point, I received an apology from a project manager after a racist comment about my ethnic that I personally found inappropriate and related to my background. That situation alone raised concerns for me about professionalism.

In another instance, I was removed from the main Slack channel—the only communication channel with project managers and other freelancers—after raising concerns about management. This felt disproportionate and unprofessional.

From my perspective, there seemed to be a SEVERE lack of practical understanding of how photoshoots and production workflows operate, how project management works, which made collaboration extremely difficult.

Additionally, my payments were delayed for several months. Despite reaching out multiple times to support and project managers, communication was extremely limited and it felt like I wasn’t being heard. While I did eventually receive payment, the process created significant frustration and a loss of trust.

I also found the review process to be inconsistent, the review team unknowledgeable about the projects, with frequent rejections or revisions that were not always clearly justified.

Overall, I believe the company could greatly improve by investing in more experienced project management and clearer, more responsive communication with freelancers.

I understand that many freelancers do not have a way of publicly discussing these internal issues and reaching a solution, and that is exactly what this so called project managers see as their strength.

I’m writing this based on helping a friend who works with this company, including assisting with photoshoots and production. Honestly, the experience has been extremely frustrating.
The company representatives and project managers are incredibly unprofessional. Most of them clearly lack real experience in graphic design, photography, and video production, yet act like they know everything. They constantly give baseless and uninformed criticism of work created by people who have been doing this professionally for years. There is no understanding of photoshoots, no market research, no sense of proper project development or execution. They’re just blindly pushing things through.
Communication is a complete mess. No one informs you about anything. Accounts can be suspended out of nowhere, even after delays in payment, and no one takes responsibility. Every time you ask for answers, you get pushed to “contact support,” which makes you wonder if you’re managing the project, how do you know absolutely nothing about it?
And support is just as bad. They can ignore you for weeks, even months. Imagine sending multiple emails and only getting two replies in a two-month period. That’s their idea of “transparency.”
The worst part is the agreement. Read it VERY carefully before you sign anything. It basically gives them full power to find any excuse to suspend your account and avoid paying you, even for large amounts of work. On top of that, pay attention to the wording "exploitation" in the agreement. They can use your content however they want, meaning you have zero control over where your work and even your face end up.
Honestly, think twice, or even ten times, before working with this company.

The worst company ever!
They change the requirements during projects, claiming they can do so because it’s freelance work. Your initial submissions get reviewed repeatedly, as many times as they want, often leading to a suspended account, a negative balance, and delayed or missing payments. The people working there are the worst. There’s no professionalism, and project managers frequently threaten to remove you from projects. Some PMs don’t even respond to your messages. It’s best to avoid working here for the sake of your mental and physical health.

Don’t ever work for this company unless you want endless problem and uncertainty. They hired us to make Pictures for them which was basically consisted of 3 parts, A clear background a hand, An accessory (like clothing bracelets etc.) and our hand with that accessory on. We made around like 100 sets (worth around $100) they completely ignored it, didn’t check it, didn’t approve it and most definitely didn’t pay us for weeks. After that they magically changed the rules and told us that the previous ones would be automatically rejected. For God’s sake, if you look for a care-free job, look for it somewhere else because Wirestock is definitely not it.

Wirestock is a pretty nice platform to work with. The whole process is simple and easy to follow, so it doesn’t feel complicated at all. The project managers are also really friendly and helpful, which makes communication smooth and stress-free. Overall, it’s a good place to work and collaborate, especially if you’re looking for a chill and supportive environment.

Ich nutze Wirestock seit der Corona-Zeit – damals war es für mich als Hobby-Fotograf und Filmer tatsächlich eine sehr praktische Lösung. Man musste sich nicht selbst um das Hochladen auf verschiedene Stock-Plattformen kümmern und konnte unkompliziert erste Erfahrungen sammeln, um zu sehen, was funktioniert und was nicht.

Doch genau diese Vorteile sind inzwischen praktisch verschwunden.

Heute kann ich nur noch dringend davon abraten, Wirestock zu verwenden. Statt Bilder wie früher auf klassischen Stock-Plattformen anzubieten, werden Inhalte mittlerweile hauptsächlich als Datensätze verkauft – und das bringt gerade für Hobby-Creator so gut wie keine Einnahmen mehr.

Noch gravierender ist jedoch ein anderes Problem: Einnahmen werden teilweise nicht mehr ausgezahlt, und der Support reagiert schlicht gar nicht mehr auf Anfragen. Das ist kein Einzelfall – es gibt zahlreiche Berichte von anderen Nutzern, denen es genauso geht.

Auch die kostenpflichtigen Premium- bzw. AI-Dienste wirken alles andere als zeitgemäß und hinken dem aktuellen Stand der Technik deutlich hinterher. Für das, was hier verlangt wird, bekommt man woanders wesentlich bessere Qualität.

Fazit: Was früher eine hilfreiche Plattform war, ist inzwischen kaum noch zu empfehlen. Wer seine Inhalte ernsthaft vermarkten möchte, sollte sich definitiv nach Alternativen umsehen.

Wirestock have still not removed my images which I asked them to do in July 2025.

So, seven months later my images, only around 100, are still available for sale even though I closed my account.
On 26th January this year (2026) they wrote me this:
"Due to some techincal issues the process took a bit longer, but we should be able to complete the deletion by the end of this week."
Still though the images are there. If you ever want to close your account be warned - you may not be able to have your images removed from the various sites that Wirestock have uploaded them to which can be a nightmare if you want to do something else with those images. It's akin to losing rights over them.
Avoid unless you want to lose your rights over your own images.

I started collaborating with wirestock in December and since then I had the opportunity to work on two projects. Wirestock allows me to make my own schedules and have real gains with my creative work.

The experience was great, and it has given me a lot of opportunities to grow while earning as well.

I had the opportunity to work with image editing and artificial intelligence projects through Wirestock. My role was focused exclusively on post-production and digital manipulation rather than capturing the original photographs.
I worked on enhancing images, refining details, adjusting lighting and composition, and using AI tools to create realistic visual edits. This experience allowed me to strengthen my skills in advanced retouching, visual consistency, and creative problem-solving while maintaining high-quality standards for stock platforms.
It was a valuable experience that expanded my technical knowledge in image editing workflows and AI-assisted visual production.

I have been working with Wirestock as a contributor, and overall, my experience has been positive. The platform makes it easier for creators to distribute content to multiple marketplaces without handling each one individually. This saves a lot of time and simplifies the process, especially for independent contributors.

One thing I appreciate is the clear evaluation system. When sets are reviewed and approved, the status updates are transparent, and the earnings system has become more straightforward. The team communication is also responsive and helpful when clarification is needed.

What Wirestock does well is providing opportunities for creators to monetize their work globally while keeping the submission process structured. The platform continues to improve its system, which shows they are actively working to support contributors.

Like any platform, there are occasional delays or adjustments in policies, but overall, it has been a reliable place to grow as a contributor and generate income from creative work.

I hope the platform continues improving transparency and maintaining strong communication with contributors in the future.

The experience with Wirestock was challenging and inspiring. I had to fast-track my AI skills. My only regret is that just as I was really getting good, the project came to an end, but I hope more opportunities will come up. I’m grateful for the chance you gave me, especially Maria Eduarda.
