Whilst I understand the sentiment of a more environmental medal. I’m not sure that plywood or slate has less impact long term especially once you add paints/dyes to make them more memorable/usable (we wanted them for an open swim meet so required gold/silver/bronze). Also the price was a downside. Unfortunately we aren’t in a position to cover the extra costs involved and adding extra to meet entry fees would make our meet less desirable. The swimmers were also concerned that the medals would get wet and go mouldy so wouldn’t last very long.
I’m sorry they aren’t going to work for us, if they were just for a participation medal for an event where everyone received the same I would definitely reconsider.

Helped with redesigning medals we had previously ordered the past few years running, they came out really well, and delivery was perfectly on time.

You are so good at accommodating changes and suggestions to the design and just generally very helpful. I have no hesitation in recommending the company.

Excellent communication/ design / price per medal. Followed by prompt delivery before our Xmas Filey five km beach race on 27th December

We bought these wooden medals as Eco friendly medals for our team of fundraisers, they walked 100 miles over 5 days. I did have one email stating I had to supply artwork, but a few days or so later I received an email with some artwork, on the medals. They were great, and the recipients were very much appreciated.

Fantastic efficient service and as always, very happy with the wooden finisher awards we have ordered for our race in December.

So a random advertisement popped up on my social media stating that Zero Waste Medals specialise in personal medals.

I ordered the samples, when they arrived I was pretty keen to order my medals. I then drew a rough drawing.

They emailed me back how my medal would look and suggested I had it on slate.

From the day I made payment, the medals came back pretty quick.

Overall I’m happy, and I’d definitely recommend anybody to use there services.

I had a short-notice request and Sophie assured me it would be met & fulfilled in time; so when the items arrived ahead of schedule i was delighted. When i gave out the medals after the birthday football match, everyone said how amazing they looked and wanted to know where i got them from - i was happy to share.

Poor experience
I have tried on 3 occasions to order a sample kit and it has never arrived
21st April #M8031
2nd June - emailed and was told they would send another (Sophie)
13th August emailed again and was told the same (Sophie)

Sophie at Zero Waste Medals was very helpful and the wooden awards were bot really good and excellent value for money
