I adore Word Tonic, it’s such an amazing community of people always eager to help, encourage, and support each other through their journey to success as gen z copywriters!
Word Tonic is the reason I got my first paid job as a writer, and now I’m a full-on business owner!! I don’t think I’d have had the confidence to be where I am now without that initial push from Word Tonic.

Word Tonic is such an amazing community for gen z copywriters of all levels! I joined having a few months of experience and some spec projects under my belt and Word Tonic put me in contact with an amazing person which lead to a copy job!

There's something for everyone with frequent masterclasses and talks, different competitions, and a creative writing anthology, you can't miss out!! :D

A great copywriting community for Gen-Z by Gen-Z.

This is a female-led, safe place to learn copywriting. You get to interact with people from various walks of life who may be anywhere on the planet.

Learning with others helps in figuring out your own process, and the founders have partnered up with an agency to help them scout young copywriting talent.

They also provide excellent learning materials, such as readings, masterclasses, and specified channels (on Discord); and they recently launched their own self-paced copywriting course.

You would be making a wise investment in yourself if you decide to join the community!

Word Tonic introduced me to copywriting in a way that my undergrad English degree never did lol. It’s an incredible community full of kind, wacky people and the connections I’ve made are invaluable. Being a part of WT opened so many doors just by sharing the wealth of knowledge and meeting people. Long live gen z craziness!

Word Tonic is a fabulous resource for Gen Z writers and creatives. I mean, where else can you access so many guides, inspiring talks, and HONEST advice??

I highly recommend Word Tonic to copywriters of all levels. I'd already had jobs in the industry, but joining WT helped me brush up on my skills, watch masterclasses with talented industry professionals, and get brilliant advice on my portfolio.

I managed to land a full-time job within a couple of months of joining thanks to all the help and advice I received. I'll definitely be sticking around to keep watching the live streams and joining in with the fun weekly challenges!

My name is Hazel, I’m a 24/yo copywriter and I’ve been a member of Word Tonic since March of this year. During my time in the community, I learned a LOT(I didn’t even know what copywriting really was until I joined!!), watched tons of masterclasses, met some wonderful and talented genz writers, and have developed an awesome friendship with the founder, Carolyn. I’ve also had several freelance gigs during my time learning- I got my very first gig about four months after joining and developing my portfolio, which is wild!! If a young woman from West Virginia with no college degree or prior experience can do it, so can you!!! It’s hard work, but this is the community to do it with. If you’re genz and interested in copywriting, I’d very much encourage you to join!!

Joined about a year ish ago.

There's nothing else like it out there. I'm talking to YOU. You, who's sitting on the internet trying to figure out if this is the next Netflix/Hulu documentary. Or trying to see if it's worth it. Like anything else, the Word Tonic community is what you put into it. I could say a bunch of things and if you're reading this, there's a chance you're trying to figure out if this thing is legit. Let me put it this way: you don't just find a 20-something out here trying to put together a gutter scheme this large and this involved that genuinely aids and helps other people. The founder is so busy that I don't even know if a scam of this scale would be worth it. We have people from all over the country, all over the WORLD, different time zones, company powerhouses coming in and talking with us, masterclasses that they teach, and some that WE teach if we are coming from a specific industry (I have one!)

There's so much stigma, bias, closed doors, suffocating language, and snuffed opportunity for people who genuinely want to do something good. That something creates mind-bending, transformative, creative, hit-this-out-of-the-park, oh my god, did you see what Oatly did last week, type of copy. The people here are thinkers, doers, and makers, and the one thing that unifies us is our hope that we can take this culture and write our way to make an impact in our corner of the earth. You know what age we live in today? Where jobs are MAKING UP positions and letting them rot on LinkedIn to make it look like they have growth? The "must have worked xxxx years" for entry-level roles? The people just sharting on Gen-z because they think everyone is stupid? It takes GUTS to create something that goes against this grain of, "naw, you should just kill yourself over xx job and xx job like I did" or to listen to just ONE naysayer and not throw it all in the basket.

For my part, I saw an ad for this place, after trying to do the writing thing on my own and thinking my style was too odd, my tone of voice to colorful, and my place was at zero tables. Carolyn is genuinely sweet and caring and wants everyone to win. You don't see that in this dog-eat-dog world. I took my shot and made my voice heard; now I've created several channels, an open resource for other people, and I have landed a job honestly in my favorite niche. I still want to do more; for example, I want to be a full-time travel writer, but I would have stopped writing like this a long time ago if members of the Word Tonic community didn't support me. If I'd listened to an English teacher who said, "I just like to hear my voice," NO - I write like this. Someone out there BENEFITS from this tone of voice. Maybe it isn't your college prof. But someone will resonate. That's the thing here.

Worst case scenario, you come in and realize it's not for you. Or you want to pivot, and you have a ton of writing resources now. It's up to you, but chat with everyone first, see how you like it, join a welcome call. It's brutal out there.

Now if Shonda Rhimes wants to make a show about this, gal SHOULD. (hey shondaland)

A fantastic community that has always made me feel welcome, and given me ways to advance in my copywriting career 😌

I have been a part of this community for over a year now, and I have never, ever regretted joining it. The community is so welcoming and has so many resources, it's great for both people who are new to copywriting, and people who already have experience. There's always people willing and ready to help you out, or people who are just there to have a chat. It's great!

I've really enjoyed being a part of Word Tonic. It's a place that gives you all you need to know to get started as a copywriter. Everyone is super friendly and welcoming, there's no wrong questions and the sessions with other copywriters are really useful.

I've been able to have experiences at internships I don't think I would have otherwise because of Word Tonic.

If you're someone getting started or just want to be in a community of like minded creatives, it's an excellent option.

Lowkey WT changed my life. I was lost career wise after uni and felt alone in my plight of “what am I doing with my life”. Love writing so when I found word tonic I was like okay maybe this.
The community is so supportive and filled with love. Being a member has built up my confidence in myself and my skills in ways I can’t explain, it’s lead to me to get a copywriting and marketing role because I had all this portfolio and confidence to get there. I’ve been a member since May 2024 and it’s the best thing just even for myself I have ever done.

Word Tonic has been an incredible boon for me as a copywriter. All the resources and masterclasses with industry legends have helped me grow as a copywriter. The support from other members is the best part! This is exactly the community I've needed as someone looking into copywriting as a career.

Joined this community about 3 months ago and it has already given me so much. Masterclasses with super inspiring copywriters, other members to hype each other up and exchange experiences and advice, and most of all: excitement about what the world of copywriting has to offer! Definitely recommend!
