Order didn’t go through but they took the money anyway. Customer service eventually got back to me but it took them a week to sort it out

I wanted to order something specific and it turned out only this site could deliver so, I signed up.....(insert issue).......I did not receive my registration email so I contacted their Facebook team as its the easiest way for me to get a quick response and it was quick.

over a couple of days, the team managed to sort out a way for me to confirm my registration and successfully order what I wanted.

I really appreciate the time they took to help and will return to add to this review once my item arrives (I was told 3-4 weeks due to current worldwide issues which I understand).

EDIT on 12/03/2021: Item arrived in mint condition after WowHD upgraded my delivery method to tracked as I missed the first bunch of preorders and they wanted to make sure I was not waiting over a month for my purchase.

Their Facebook staff had been in contact with me whilst I waited and I cannot recommend them enough.

My first order with WowHD was 2 criterion blu rays to the UK from USA. Great price. I paid for faster international shipping. I didn’t have a tracking number after a couple of days and it said it would take 8-15 days for delivery instead of 2-3 days for faster shipping. I contacted them and they realised they sent standard so will give refund for shipping once it arrives. It arrived in 11 days, one was scratched, they asked for a photo, I sent photo, they checked their stock, all fine and then they gave me the option of a refund or replacement. I took the replacement and I received it. Happy. Just don’t expect them to cancel an order once you’ve made it. I’m happy with them, they respond to all emails. Went back for more stuff.

Absolutely non-existent, hopeless customer service. I pre-ordered a bluray set that I then needed to cancel (still well before the release date). They refuse to answer any of my emails. Any company that doesn’t put any effort into customer service is NOT worth dealing with. Period.

Most of their order never arrive. When you complain they simply close your account. Beware!

Ordered from this site for many years and have had no issues at all in the last few years with prompt delivery and good packaging. On this occasion I was about to purchase a vinyl boxset and wanted more details before ordering. I was responded to within less than 24 hours and it helped me make my decision. Great customer service.

I have made several orders and all of them have arrived OK.

However, one or two shipments were a bit slow. I was a bit worried as I got no response when I asked about the shipment status in an email, but luckily the item arrived finally safely.

I have ordered from wowhd 3 times now and I have had a problem with every order. On my first order, they kept charging me the wrong amount, putting it back in to my account, charging it again and so on and then, one of the items never arrived, so I was refunded, but only after 45 days.
The second order was placed 3 weeks ago and has still not arrived, it was a pre-order and I ordered it 4 days before the release date. After 2 weeks I had not received any email from wowhd and when looking back over the order, I saw they had moved the 'release date' to last Friday, with no email confirming this, no apology and the order still has not been despatched.
The third order I placed was just after placing the 2nd order, it arrived, it relatively good time, but one of the items was falsely advertised and the other was damaged. Took 4 days to get a response from them, which stated they would get back to me within 72 hours.
Never using this site again.

Here is an update on my saga with WOWHD.
As mentioned before I feared receiving REGION 1 DVD's after I visited the UK page.
I have to report that the DVD's arrived this morning from the USA. The DVD's had no Region info on them so I decided to try them in my player. Lo and Behold both worked perfectly. The delivery time was reasonable as well.
On this occasion I will give a favourable report but I am still wary of ordering anything further from this company. Perhaps next time I will not be so lucky.

Finally received my dvd from wowhd.fr 34 days later and the dvd came from Belgium if you are waiting your order wait until 45 days after your order if it not arrive email wowhd to re ship our re fond.

I have received 2 our of 3 orders.
Takes your money the instant you order.
do not respond to your contacts.

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!

I can confirm the story of many other reviewers. They take your money but ship nothing. This previously excellent company has apparently been taken over by new owners. Fortunately I have "only" lost 7 £.

In January 2016 I placed three pre-orders for upcoming CD albums with this company. I have not used them for some time, they were still CD Wow when I last did. Back then I never had a problem, but this time Wow HD provided me with one of my worst experiences with online shopping.

I choose to order with Wow HD because they had the three albums I wanted listed whereas my usual sites to buy from did not (at the time), or if they did had them at too high prices than I wanted to pay. So I placed my order and promptly paid the company via PayPal.

The releases dates came and I did not receive my CDs. Nor did I receive any sort of contact from Wow HD to say that they couldn't get them after all. I contacted them for an update. Three days passed, then four. I began to think that the company would not respond so I did what I felt was the sensible thing, I got onto PayPal and opened a dispute with the company (which at the time of writing is still ongoing). I left that for three days as well. Again, Wow HD have not responded. After a couple more days I escalated my PayPal dispute to a claim (which I should have done straight away in hindsight as PayPal gives sellers ten days to respond to claims). I also sent the company another message via their contact form, hoping to reach a friendly resolution without the need for PayPal to take action.

A day or two after that, Wow HD finally decided to reply to my original message (over a week old at this point) to them, saying that the items could not be obtained (why advertise pre-orders without checking if you can get the items or not?) and cancelled my order, assuring me in the process that as the items were not dispatched my credit card had not been charged.

However as I paid with PayPal the money left my account immediately upon placing the order. I have informed Wow HD of this but as usual, they are not timely in responding to their messages. At this stage I'm not even sure if they intend to refund the money. I have every faith that PayPal will find this in my favour because at the time of writing Wow HD have not responded to the claim against them, but right now I'm down almost £35 for an order that Wow HD have made clear they have no intention of fulfilling.

In short, do not trust this company. They are either incompetent at best and the difficultly in getting a refund from them for unshipped goods suggests to me that they may even be fraudulent. Avoid.

After more than 4 months finally oft a reply - apparently they became a new company on 1st August, and are not responsible for old orders.

So no cd & no refund - what a rip-off !

I used them last April to a order 2 games. The first one came on time. However the second never arrived so I send them an email to track my order get some explanations. I received a reply that they where out of stock and I should wait. I replied to them that I would prefer a refund but they never came back to me. After many many emails I sent to them and never bothered to reply I received a reply yesterday (after 5 months) that they don't have any control over my order since now they under now ownership and I should file a claim against them if I want my money back.
Really bad customer support...

As other reviewers. I ordered and paid for a cd in April and after receiving several emails that it had been delayed the order has now disappeared from my account. I have emailed them for an explanation and a refund but they have not even had the decency to respond. Save your money and use a more reputable company.

I have given up waiting for a CD (5 months). I received several emails re delays and all contact via the website has been ignored as others have reported. My order no longer appears in my account. I'm only a few pounds out of pocket but I don't want others to be ripped off too. I've ordered from them successfully in the past but there's something wrong with this company now even though their website is up and running.

I ordered a CD which did not arrive. When I chased them they let me know that it was on back order. I emailed to cancel it 9 days later and purchased a download from Apple. 4 days later I received a despatch notification from WOWHD. Six days after I had cancelled the order their customer service said it was too late as it had been despatched (from Hong Kong). I received the CD too late for the date I needed it (as a gift). I was told to contact them when I received the CD for a returns form. Nobody responds to this request and my order history shows nothing. Don't buy from this website.
