This company fails to pay its employees

They haven’t paid me for several months of work. I worked as a front-end developer for the CEOs of WP Zone (formerly Aspen Grove Studios and Divi Space) for 7 years, starting in 2015. I was one of their first employees.

Last year, due to "financial issues" within the company, I was not paid for several months. I agreed to defer my salary temporarily, but despite promises, I only received a portion of what I was owed. By the end of 2022, after repeated assurances that I would be paid after Black Friday—which never happened—I decided to leave the job.

Since April of this year, both CEOs have completely stopped responding to my messages and even blocked me on social media. This is particularly frustrating given the years I dedicated to helping them build their business. As far as I know, they also owe money to other employees and business partners.

Based on my experience, I do not recommend conducting any business with them.

Terrible company - horrible, unresponsive customer service

This company seems to be more responsive to bad reviews on Trust Pilot than their actual email so here's an overview of what I have been dealing with for over two weeks now. Maybe this will get their attention because my multiple emails and support tickets are clearly not getting anywhere.

I originally contacted WPZone on 7/16 because I got a question from my accounting department regarding some charges on our credit card statement, as it appeared we were being billed multiple times for the same thing. Upon initially reaching out to WPZone, I was informed of the email address tied to our company account. Unfortunately for us, the employee who set this account up no longer works here and we no longer have access to the email account. I've asked multiple times for the account to be switched over to my email so we can gain access to the account and this is where the communication completely stops with WPZone. The only responses I have gotten are that they'll send my message to their accounts and billing department and to allow "some time for queue processing". Today I received the exact same copy pasted response as last week when I submitted another support ticket after lack of response to my first ticket. It's been over a week now with no contact from them (other than the copy pasted response that someone from their accounts department would be in touch). Not once have I received any update on what's going on nor have they provided me with the billing statement I've requested to provide to my accounting department.l There is no reason it should be taking weeks to accomplish this simple task such as changing an account email address change or emailing a billing statement. Our next steps will be to dispute the charges with our bank. Truthfully this is one of the most unprofessional companies I have ever been in contact with (or lack there of - contact would imply they are responsive, which they are not).

A tip to WPZone - perhaps you should focus on providing actual customer service to the customers in your inbox before taking time out of your day to respond to your poor Trust Pilot reviews. Do better.

Didn't realize I hadn't cancelled the


Didn't realize I hadn't cancelled the license until I was billed. Cancelled it same day as renewal and requested a refund. They said no despite the fact I have a license for another product with them. I'll be cancelling that license and never purchasing their products again. That's just terrible customer service.

Very Good Customer Support

I originally purchased the Ultimate Divi Bundle when the company was still Aspen Grove Studios. During their transition to Divi Space, my purchase was somehow 'lost' in their system. When I first encountered this issue in 2020, I did not receive any responses to my inquiries, likely due to the pandemic causing disruptions.

However, I am pleased to report that WP Zone, the current operator, was highly responsive when I contacted them again this month. Their customer support team provided excellent service, quickly resolving the issues with my purchase. While good products form the foundation of a strong company, great customer service retains loyal customers. Despite the earlier problems, WP Zone turned things around with their attentive support. I now happily recommend them for both their quality offerings and dedication to customer satisfaction.

Bad business practices - Stay away

Dodgy customer service takes weeks to respond. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY.

No notification the plug-in will auto-renew a ridiculous amount, no recourse, no help and a bad product there's no use for.

I emailed within an hour of the subscription being renewed, explaining my financial hardship and it took 20 days for a copy and paste refusal.

This is not how you conduct business! You want happy customers, not customers that don't want to be customers.

Very slow customer service

Since AspenGrove and DiviSpace were acquired by wpzone.co, they've modified the "helper" app to supposedly streamline the installation and maintenance of their various plug-ins and themes. I've been trying for days to get it to install a plug-in, any plug-in. I've repeatedly contacted customer support, because I keep getting a very specific error. It takes them days to return an email; support tickets are not stored on their website, and there's no easy way to follow up or add notes to a ticket except in email. They wanted my admin credentials to try to duplicate the error, and they have a function in the contact form that lets you add a temp user to the wp installation. My credentials simply don't work; they claim their test credentials do.
I have a LIFETIME subscription, and their "helper" app does nothing to bolster my confidence that they actually know what they're doing. It worked when they were DiviSpace / AspenGrove.
Installing plug-ins via the traditional method does work.
One plug-in, DiviSwitch, requires an API user name and key, and nowhere in their documentation on this plug-in do they mention that. I get another error when installing that plug-in.
Bottom line: customer service is very slow, and documentation is spotty.

Charged for a year with no refund

The company refused to refund me for an annual subscription payment, which is very unpleasant, and I feel we have been scammed.

I will never buy anything from them, and I will make sure that none of our clients, customers, or partners do the same.

Extremely unpleasant.

Horrible Customer Service / Terrible Support Experience

Update: It's very unfortunate the way this company handled their interaction with me. I have asked repeatedly for the last 2 weeks for help, it's taken 3-4 days per response, which were very minimal - a manager stepped in once, to notify me after a week that the person taking care of my case fell under a medical emergency, but this is still unacceptable that my case was not handed off to someone else to be taken care of. I've struggled with this business now for 2 weeks, and the manager has become very hostile, angry at my "impatience". I got an immediate response as soon as I posted this review, which shows me they were either intentionally avoiding me as a customer case or just negligent. I get the feeling they were just pushing me to ask for the refund instead of offering help - so, I finally gave up and just asked for the refund.

I don't recommend doing business with these, very poor customer support and the one plugin I bought did not work.

I purchased a plugin from this company, but it doesn't not work - and they have not offered any support. It takes 5-6 days for a response, and their attitude is unhelpful.

Thank you Shea for editing you review and removing the false claim that you could not receive a refund. Very noble of you. Unfortunately the remainder of your review is also completely untrue. At no point during the support process did we take 5 days to get back to you... Not even close. In fact, the longest time between communication was 2 days and that was when we were waiting on information from you. Once again I wish TrustPilot would allow us to provide proof of these completely untrue statements.

Also, not once did I become angry at your "impatience". I never said anything or eluded to anything of the sort. The only think I mentioned were the completely false statements made in your review. You removed one of the false statements, but have added several others.

This is perhaps the most untruthful review we have ever received and I have the screenshots to prove it. We responded to your support ticket almost immediately and at the time you wrote this review you had not yet provided us with the information we requested.

More importantly at the time of this review you had not even requested a refund... you had not even mentioned it so I am seriously perplexed as to why you would write this. When I called you out on this fact you stated that you do not even want a refund at this time. Once you actually requested a refund it was refunded within 1 hour.

We could not replicate the issue you are having (even on your own site) and you are running a seriously outdated version of PHP and have over 40 plugins on your site. No other customers have reported the issue you are describing.

This company appears to be a rebranding of Aspen Grove Studios (aspengrovestudios.com). I recommend reading the reviews for Aspen Grove Studios on Trustpilot. To view archived versions of their website for a clean redirect, you can use webarchive. By doing so, you will notice that it is the same company. I do not recommend conducting any business with them due to these shady practices.

Hello, firstly we have no record of a customer by your name which makes this review void. Secondly there is no hiding the fact that we rebranded. Since our inception we have acquired several company's. Aspen Grove Studios acquired Divi Space and Potent plugins. Running multiple websites became too much of a chore so we decided to consolidate and rebrand as WP Zone.

We made several anouncements to our customer base and had banners on the website for several months that informed people of this. In addition if you visit our website it says "an Aspen Grove Studios Company" in the footer.

What shady practices are you even eluding to? This review should be taken down because as far as we know you are a competitor trying to damage our reputation.

Reached out to WP Zone to see if they could help me with their DIVI SHOP BUILDER FOR WOOCOMMERCE plugin and within 3 hours they had written me an add on plugin which solved the problem. Brilliant support and service. Marek is a legend!
