I have been taking the WSJ for yearsâŠ
I have been taking the WSJ for years now and have never had a problem with delivery. In fact, my "paper boy" gave me his cell phone number and a couple of times I have gone on a trip and didn't put my paper on hold. I have called him and he paused it while I was gone.
WSJ can't contol their delivery contractors
I have been a print edition subscriber almost continually since the late 1990s, and on and off for several years previously since 1980.
I had to cancel recently due to a delivery issue they cannot or will not correct. They have always had uneven delivery service, but after transferring my delivery address to Tacoma, WA from San Mateo, CA, they have not been able to get their delivery contractor to deliver to my address (it is in town and the local paper gets to me just fine). Their support team tries to help but apparently the WSJ has little or no control over their delivery contractors.
Also, when cancelling, they offer a prorated refund and cannot explain how that is calculated nor provide any detail, a concern when you wish to dispute the amount.
I must have subscribed to their $1âŠ
I must have subscribed to their $1 offer without realizing. 3 years pass and I decided to pay more attention to my credit card bills (my fault for now being more engaged I admit) and saw that I was being charged $38.99 per month. Of course, WSJ say it is impossible for them to refund customers so I'm out almost $1000. I never even used the service. Shocking behavior and misleading advertising. Wonder when they will be sued for false advertising.
Low integrity subscription practices
Very deceptive business practices IMO. They'll raise your subscription and then not reimburse any of it if you choose to cancel. Low integrity operation.
They do not issue warnings forâŠ
They do not issue warnings for increased subscription costs. They will raise your rates from $5 to $50 without letting you know. The quality of the articles aren't even worth the $5, STAY AWAY!!
Cancellation is impossible
Cancellation is impossible. Saw the charge for the coming month and called a day later. They would not issue a pro rata refund. They said it was policy. It is obviously deliberate. If you sign up for a reduced rate for a short term, they hope that you forget about it and they simply charge the new rate as long as possible.
They charge you without concent
They charge you without concent
Just don't subscribe
Count me among the people who was charged exorbitant fees from a misleading subscription and then they make it as hard to cancel as humanly possible
What a bunch of low life dishonestâŠ
What a bunch of low life dishonest editorials standards No Standards No Morals simply scum of the earth.
Is this what you show your kids your disgusting human beings
Do not subscribe
WSJ will increase the subscription prices without any communication sent to the customer and will not process a refund 'per their policy'.
Unscrupulous billing practices
Good offer initially and then without notice I was billed $50 for 1 month. When I called to inquire, they informed me it was an introductory offer and there was nothing I can do except cancel and still be charged $50. Congratulations WSJ, you screwed me out of $50
Why would I trust anything they print with unscrupulous business practices.
I subscribed to the Wall Street JournalâŠ
I subscribed to the Wall Street Journal about a month or so ago. we have had no paper delivered at least 6 times. The delivery person does not answer her phone or return calls. The call center is in Mexico which makes them difficult to understand. All they do is say i'll credit your account Getting very frustrating.
Dishonest business with dishonest business practices
Writes paid ads for Intel disguised as actual articles/news (that read like an ad for Intel).
I gave a gift subscription to a friend
I gave a gift subscription to a friend. WSJ put the wrong name (the name of someone I do not know) on the mailing label. I had to call 4 times to get the name corrected. Customer service admitted the mistake but had no explanation and never apologized. WSJ would not send my gift recipient a note in the mail advising of my gift. They only send email confirmations and my gift recipient does not want her email shared. I will not give another subscription to the WSJ. Extremely poor customer service.
I was scammed in the same way as othersâŠ
I was scammed in the same way as others have described. After several months at a low price, they increased my subscription without informing me. When I contacted them, they referred to their subscription policies. Do not trust their low-price subscription scam.
It's a rip-off
It's a rip-off. They start you at a low $20-25 per four weeks (not the full month) and then secretly, without any notification, jack the price up to $72. This is a very deceptive practice of the "Journal" that prides itself on being the most business publication.
Drastic 8X increase in pricing, off promo rate
I am severely disappointed in the business practices of the Wall Street Journal. I was offered a $6 monthly subscription for the duration of one year. After one year transpired, the WSJ jacked up the rate to $49.99 per month -- no communication, no warning, no reminder. So, my business card was charged the 8.3X rate for several months before it came to my attention. When I tried to cancel, THEN they offer me a $5.33 per month rate for (again) another 12 months. I said I would subscribe again at that rate if they applied it retroactively. They would not. So, now the WSJ goes from my "admired" list to my "scorned" list.
Change of Address SNAFU
Sent wsj change of address, paper delivery stopped..3 queries and 7 weeks later..they were sending my papers to some address other than mine, not
my state. ..No inclination to credit the 7 weeks of 'lost' papers. I'll not be renewing
Refuses to refund subscription same dayâŠ
Refuses to refund subscription same day as charge. Signed up for an entry offer and canceled within hours of being charged the higher rate. No notification of ending promotional period. Will never sign up again.
Disgusting
Disgusting, racist articles, completely untrue lies being spewed as fact. Free Palestine, and shame on WSJ.
