I bought my bike from 99 Bikes in Walton on Thames, and it was a great experience. Oscar was great, was really informative and patient, especially as I returned my first bike and bought a mountain bike instead. So was another guy, Mitchell I think who put together my first bike. They helped put the bike in the car and clearly showed us how to remove the wheel and put it back on. excellent customer service. I'd highly recommend this place, everyone clearly knows their stuff and are bikes enthusiasts and really helpful. Great place.

Great Customer Service!
We had a really good visit to 99 Bikes in Chichester to sort out our Brompton Bike Chain yesterday. Tom and Gareth were so helpful and patient. They fixed the bike chain and gave us some very helpful tips on the bike too!
Poor online retailer
As a shop, they sound excellent, but as an online retailer, I thought they were really poor. I ordered bib shorts, 10 days later they still hadnât shipped them, also zero communication.
So I wrote to customer services requesting a cancellation. To be fair, the cancellation happened quickly, but again zero communication.

Very poor customer service. Phoned yesterday about some promo code for the delivery as on the website showed £150.The person who I get on the phone was rude! The bike on the website cost £2249 after my phone call he changed the price for £2600. Ordered my bike from the tredz bike website! AVOID!!

Absolutely shocking company. Ive had 2 encounters with them and they were both negative.
In January I ordered a bike to be delivered in 11 days. 4 weeks went by and after being told EVERY week that it'll be there in 2 days. It si ply never showed up so I got a full refund after they offered me the same bike in a different, awful colour. What happened to the one I ordered?
I gave this company the benefits of the doubt and tried to buy something online in April using their price match promise.
I emailed them with the product and the cheaper one available elsewhere, simply to be told 'we cant match that price'. Its actually laughable, 'price match PROMISE', but 'we cant match that price'.

I Ordered a bike to be delivered in 5 days to the store (as it showed on the delivery of the website)
Didnât hear anything, I called got told the same day as I was meant to pick up the bike, it wonât be there, 5 days delivery on the website, 3 weeks delivery when you call.
The company want to scam you, the bike I ordered VIA phone was £60 more expensive than their own website for the same bike, also 150 more than other website, despite the fact they claim they price match.
They offer great bikes, but please check the prices and policies before purchase

Was out on a ride over south downs and my gear shifter became disconnected from the handle bars - popped into 99 bikes and Paul helped by making the bike safe to ride (as couldn't change gear!) And then advised what parts were needed to fix the problem. Thanks Paul and thanks 99 bikes A***** ð

I had a warm greeting from Phil G and very friendly and helpful chat with him whilst purchasing a hardtail mountain bike. Great store with a relaxed vibe. Certainly recommend them on my experience today. Look forward to dropping in again!
Had problems with a binding brake onâŠ
Had problems with a binding brake on back wheel. Very helpful staff. Tim was able to fit the repair in straight away which was a great help. A new brake cable has made it much safer to use. I also discovered my helmet wasnât adjusted correctly so now am able to ride without it slipping over my eyes Thankyou to all the staff.
Absolute lifesavers
Absolute lifesavers! I was in a massive pre-trip bind, after Amazon let me down, needing a specific SRAM XG-1250 10-36T cassette for a fondo in Italy this weekend. Not only did the team at Walton have it in stock locally, but they also price-matched it without any hassle.
To top it off, they went the extra mile and dug out an internal Centerlock lockring from the workshop to ensure my new wheel build was ready to go. Proper cyclist-to-cyclist service. Special thanks to the team for the helpâTuscany is calling, and thanks to you, the bike is ready!
Disappointing
Ordered item, which even now states on the website 'in stock online', however following a telephone call it was not in stock at all. After no contact and the quoted dispatch time passing, I called them to be told that they were hoping to put an order in with the manufacturer in the next few days and then when the items come in, they will dispatch mine. This may not have been that bad if they had just contacted to confirm the situation but zero contact and an open ended order.
Refund requested as lost faith in the company and gent on the phone (whose name i wont mention as he seemed nice enough) could not offer any suitable timescale on when i will receive my item. On the plus side, the refund was processed instantly.
