It is unbelieveble what we was able to achieve for this young first time buyer. At first, we applied with other lender, as JBSP with her dad and monthly payment was so much higher for her because of his age, but transaction took longer then expected and we lost our offer. And Accord mortgages with help for first time buyers made it happen for her in sole name. I'm proud of her, myself and everyone is happy. Thank you so much.

I’ve been attempting to withdraw funds from my offset mortgage savings and found Accord/YBS the most unhelpful/incompetent financial institution I have ever dealt with.

I’m not sure they should be trusted with money and how are they FSA/FCA approved.

They even have my name wrong on my mortgage!

Application process for homemover porting existing borrowing and borrowing more is very clunky and time consuming, with no AIP possible

The ease of online applications and the follow up and service recieved from all parties was excellent, We have a BDM Sarah Abbott who always replies with speed and knowledgeable answers so what is there not to like about Accord

Very helpful telephone staff with good product and criteria knowledge

I have 10 buy to lets and have remortgaged 20-30 times with a wide range of lenders and I can honestly say that Accord are the worst that I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. They requested so many documents every few days, some of which were documents that do not even exist. I wasted 6 weeks, sent them all they asked and then, at the final check, the senior underwriter denied the application and would not say why to my adviser. There are plenty of decent lenders out there so please take my advice and do not look at Accord. You will be extremely frustrated and disappointed.

Excellent experience with Accord. Their underwriters take a grown-up, pragmatic view of a case, and Sue Lowe in particular has been a pleasure to deal with. She combines sound judgement with a friendly, down-to-earth manner, and is always willing to talk something through rather than hide behind policy. In a market where lending has become harder and more cautious, that kind of common-sense underwriting is invaluable — it gets good clients the outcomes they deserve. Sue and Accord have earned my confidence and my continued business.
