DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY.

Absolute scam. I don’t know where to begin.The manager Jay was horrific and cheap throughout this trip obviously running a scam. He spoke to us in a condescending way, even threatening to call our parents when we were being too loud? despite us being 20. He also asked my friend to pay back £4 for a taxi to the hospital, which was meant to be covered. The hostels we stayed in were a hit and miss. Some were okay , some were horrific. We had one hostel which the door didn’t lock and the bathroom smelled so bad we had to go shower at the showers at the beach. Another hostel was infected with bed bugs. When we first brought this up to Jay he told us they were mosquito bites and just generally showed a lack of concern. Upon checking the reviews it was clear this was an ongoing issue in the hostel. There evidently had been connections built between this hostel as it was so cheap and Jay tried to defend it up until the moment we sent him videos of the bed bugs. The hidden costs crept up ontop of the £1400 we had already paid ( internal transfers , added extras etc) the fact that the cost of the internal transfers is only brought up after you have paid isn’t okay too. When the situation happened with the war Jay made it apparent he did not care to help any of us and just kept repeating there are no refunds possible - which does not make sense when it was a month in advance and the exact activities we were going on stated refunds up to 24hrs before available online . As soon as they have your money .. they don’t care. Please please please do your research and don’t use this company. The only good thing about the trip was pops and Bailey our tour guides and the friends I made along the way. It takes advantage of people who are too scared to come travelling on their own.

ABSOLUTE SCAM!!! Do not use Ace!

I booked with Ace due to a lack of knowledge of travelling and being scared to go alone. When you book with Ace, it gives you the impression that most of the activities come included — they do not!!

For example, one of the activities is a bar crawl, which is free. They are just charging you to take more of your money — it costs Ace nothing.

They have put us in vile hostels. Our first bad one was in Phi Phi Islands. The room looked like a prison cell, it smelt awful, and the door didn’t even lock properly.

When we were in Khao Sok, I became ill and needed to be rushed to hospital. Ace sent me in an ambulance in the middle of the jungle, miles and miles away from our hostel. I had to get in touch with higher management to get someone to actually come with me to the hospital, as no one spoke English or would listen to me. I was left alone crying in hospital.

They took us to floating bungalows and squeezed three of us into a two-person hut, with not even enough pillows to accommodate three people. When I told the manager (Jay) this, he said that there have always been three pillows on past trips and that there have always been three mattresses. Not only would there be absolutely no way you could fit three mattresses in this tiny hut, but when talking to a friend back home who did the trip last year, they confirmed they did the exact same thing to them.

When we were in Koh Tao, our hostel had bed bugs!!! When we tried to let the manager know, he was completely dismissive and told us that they have never had issues with this hostel. However, when reading this hostel’s reviews, for months there have been complaints of bed bugs, and one girl even got norovirus from their water dispenser. So either Ace have a lack of care in looking into what they are booking for us, or they just don’t really care.

You pay £1.4k — you absolutely DO NOT need to spend this. Please, please, please plan your trip and book all the activities yourself, and do not book Ace.

One of my friends on this trip ended up going to hospital in Koh Tao, and we were told that she would have a taxi arranged for her. When she left, she then got a text from the manager (Jay) asking her for 300 baht, and the friend that went with her for 250 baht, which is around £4. Where on earth is our £1.4k going???

Ace also have a spending pot of 2000 baht to spend on us travelling, but can’t even pay for a taxi back from the hospital when it was said that Ace would pay.

The only positives to this holiday are Pops and Bailey, our two tour guide reps. They have both been so helpful — not a bad word to say about them, so thank you guys.

Had an Amazing! time doing the north tour with Jay. All the activities were great fun and made some good friends. Would recommend!

I did the Thailand Intro tour with Ace and it was brilliant from start to finish. The itinerary was packed but never stressful. Bangkok temples, Chiang Mai markets, the ethical elephant sanctuary, Pai sunsets, and tubing down the river were definite highlights.

Everything was organised really well. The group leader Jay was sound and the whole trip felt easy and social. If you want to see the best of North Thailand without worrying about planning, this is a great way to do it.

I can’t recommend Ace Travels enough after such an incredible experience. From the very start, their support was amazing, they created a group chat before the trip, which made it so easy to connect with the other people on your trip beforehand and get to know each other. Throughout the journey, Ace communication was consistent and reassuring, and it always felt like help was there whenever I needed it.

A huge shoutout to Jay, who was absolutely exceptional in running the trip. From start to finish, he made everything feel seamless and stress-free. His organisation was spot on, and it was clear how much effort he put into making sure every detail was taken care of. Jay struck the perfect balance between keeping everything on schedule and allowing us the freedom to fully enjoy each moment. He was always approachable, supportive, and ready to help with anything—no matter how big or small.

Jay showed great energy and enthusiasm. He genuinely cared about everyone having the best possible experience, and it showed in everything he did. He brought the group together so naturally, making sure everyone felt included and comfortable. His knowledge and passion for the destinations made each activity even more meaningful, and his recommendations were always spot on.

He organised the North Thailand tour so well, fitting in an incredible number of experiences without ever making it feel rushed. Thanks to him, we got to see and do so many unforgettable things in a short amount of time—it truly felt like we were making the most of every moment.

Neena, our tour guide, was just phenomenal. She was a complete ball of energy with such a warm and vibrant personality that made every day even more enjoyable. She brought the group together, kept spirits high, and made the entire trip unforgettable. Her knowledge and passion for Thailand really shone through—we learned so much about the culture, traditions, and people. Neena was so supportive always asking if I was okay and how she could help me next, she was absolutely amazing and helped to make the trip what it was.

On this trip I met so many new people which gave me friendships I’ll cherish forever and memories I’ll never forget. Ace is a great way to meet new people who are in the exact same position as you, as I travelled alone the other people in my group were also travelling solo and not at any point of that trip I felt alone,
It truly was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I’m already looking forward to coming back for more adventures in the future. Thank you, Ace Travels, for such an incredible journey xx

I travelled with Ace Travel Experiences for 3 weeks and had a really solid trip overall. Everything was organised well which made it easy to just relax and enjoy it without stressing about plans.

The balance between activities and free time was good, and the whole thing ran smoothly. Three weeks went quick and I met some great people along the way.

Massive shoutout to our rep Saul — genuinely made the trip. Unreal energy, always helpful, and just an all-round top tour guide. He really added to the whole experience.

Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a chilled, social way to travel.

Sadly just come back from my 4week trip with Ace in Thailand and it was incredible!!! I met amazing people and made memories to last a lifetime🇹🇭 would definitely recommend Ace as a solo traveler for the first time!!

There are no words I can use to describe Ace, they are now family. Ace made the whole process easy and reassured me whenever I had any doubts or questions. They provided me with so much information about where I would be travelling to, the activities I would be able to enjoy & everything I needed to bring with me! I was blessed enough to meet the most incredible people with Ace, they helped me to grow as a person and enjoy the beauty of Thailand! My Thai tour guide Pop was truly an angel, he never failed to make me feel safe and loved throughout my journey. Along with Saul, he always made sure everyone’s needs were met and helped the whole trip run smoothly. I’m most grateful that Saul encouraged me to face some of my biggest fears! He also happily never turned down a party! Saul deserves every bit of credit he receives! Thank you, Ace❤️

I’ve just finished my Thailand Island hopper January 2026 tour with ace- Saul being my tour rep. He made sure the tour ran smoothly and made sure everyone was kept safe and comfortable during our trip. This trip was an amazing once in a lifetime experience and I’m so grateful for every second of it and all the people I’ve met throughout this trip! I have so much love for everyone! Saul deserves more trips in the future as he made this experience for everyone.

I visited Thailand with acetravelexperiences recently was such a great trip the people were lovely the trip manager Ruby was amazing. All transport and activities were well organised made a stress free trip that I really enjoyed and I will be booking again!

This was one of the best experiences of my life and thanks to ACE travel in particular Rubi it made it 10x better. I met the best people through ACE and would 100% travel with them again!

I recently traveled to Thailand on the island hoper tour with Ruby as my guide, Ruby was overly helpful and friendly with a bubbly personality. She maintained organisation throughout the trip and ensured the top priority was the group having fun, which we did! I would highly recommend ACE whether your a seasoned traveler or if it’s your first time!

I recently travelled with Ace on the Thailand Island Hopper tour, and it was absolutely AMAZING. Everything leading up to the trip was seamless, and once I arrived, I didn’t have to worry about a thing—they had every detail perfectly planned. Ruby, our tour guide, was the sweetest and funniest person I’ve ever met, and she instantly put all my worries at ease. I’m already looking to book another trip with them to Bali next year!

The tour leader was so welcoming and bubbly and fun to be around. Any issues I had, she would help with and get them sorted out.

Considering this company hasn’t been running as long as some of its competitors, Ace completely exceeded expectations. They have the perfect balance of taking care of you as professional guides, whilst making a friend in every guest that books with them. The trip to Thailand and every excursion, transfer, accommodation was smooth and well organised. There were so many amazing activities provided that I may not have found without them, as well as a great amount of down time to explore the different islands as you wish. Ruby was our rep who was more than welcoming, caring and always down for a laugh. Peter was our local tour guide who was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and made sure we were all safe and looked after every step of the way! If you’re wanting to go ‘solo’ travelling but have no idea where to start or nervous to go entirely alone then I couldn’t recommend Ace more. You meet so many new people (inside and outside of the tour group) without having the stresses of travel/ logistics /safety. The trip gave me the confidence to stay out and continue my travelling, but mostly it gave me friends and memories I will never forget. honestly i had my doubts when i booked the trip but as soon as i got on the transfer in phuket they all vanished, ruby is the most incredible, caring, compassionate person and you can tell she genuinely cares about the people on the trip not because it’s her job but because she wants to, she’s more of a friend and that made us all respect her more, thailand was the most surreal experience and the friends i’ve made there were just the most amazing and down to earth people. if you are thinking about booking just do it, obviously there are highs and lows when you are putting so many young adults together but the good parts of the trip really do outweigh any small bad thing that happened, i will definately be booking with ace again for bali 💚💚💚

Recently travelled to Thailand with ACE, this was my first time “solo Travelling” and it was the most stress/anxious free experience I’ve had. You meet amazing people, and really find a bond for yourself! And experience incredible things along the way. Tour guide’s Mollie & Pop were also both incredible throughout the trip! Would recommend to anyone thinking of doing it, and hope to join another tour myself in the near future.
