What an incredible couple of days completing the National 3 peaks with active mountaineering. The challenge was so well organised from start to finish and the teams dedication, commitment and experience meant we had a brilliant 24hours and completed what we set out to do! . Friendly and welcoming whether you are in a group or on your own. I would highly recommend active mountaineering and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again for my next challenge!

Wow, what can I say! A truly amazing experience and exactly what it says on the tin!
Chris and nic are fantastic and prepare you thoroughly for this challenge with a no bullsh!t approach, they want to get you through the challenge as much as you do. It’s extremely well organised ( to the minute, literally) we completed
The challenge under the time limit even with a bus breakdown. I will most certainly be carrying out more challenges with them hopefully mt Toubkal in March next year and I have recommended to others :-)

After completing the 3peaks challenge within 24hrs (even with a 50min bus breakdown) I can highly recommend active mountaineering.

From the offset Chris let's you know what to expect with his no nonsense approach, exactly what you need to complete the challenge.

Chris and Nic remained professional throughout, especially when facing the adversity of the bus breakdown, remaining calm and focused throughout and not letting the clock stop. Every minute of the challenge is planned to perfection to ensure the best chance to complete the challenge in the 24hrs.

Active Mountaineering, ensured this was one hell of an experience. Your professional and thorough mountaineering services are second to no one.

Their take on the National 3 peaks in a true 24hrs challenge is nothing short of brilliant (not a fudged clock in sight), it's regimented at times and they will bust your balls, but it's all for the greater cause, the completion of the challenge. My group was of mixed ages and ability and they controlled that environment wonderfully, knowing who needed pushing and when.

Their passion for their work is in abundance, even with a mechanical breakdown, every effort was made to ensure the challenge was still completed in time, thank you for a great weekend.

Id not even been home a full day, and I have already looked at booking the next challenge.

Highly recommended, if the National 3 Peaks and other challenges are something you might be interested in, look no further........

More than your Average trip organiser…

This was an experience of a lifetime! Superbly organised, we were well looked after and what a great bunch of people. No amount of training can prepare you for the sheer pace you have to go at but somehow we all did it, thanks to Chris. We laughed, we cried and we were shouted at! This is not for the faint hearted. Chris doesn’t hold back and will do whatever it takes to make sure you give beyond your best. But honestly, I wouldn’t have had it any other way and would have been gutted if we hadn’t done it in under 24 hours. As it was even with some unforeseen delays on the road we still achieved it in 23hrs 35 mins. My legs were done in, but the sense of achievement will last a lifetime! Thanks everyone!!

I don’t leave many reviews but felt I should as they made the experience better than I expected. I’d highly recommend Active Mountaineering for anyone looking to complete one of the challenges they have available.
I completed the 24 hour National 3 Peaks activity and was impressed how organised, honest and professionally it was ran.
They are focused upon achieving the challenge and are organised in a way that if you have put the training in they will make sure you complete it.
Having more than one guide on every mountain, unlike some other companies, meant that those that could complete the challenge where supported all of the way.
We were fortunate with the weather but I could tell that the guides involved were knowledgable and skilled to cope with any situation.
So if you are thinking of taking on a challenge look no further that this company.

We had the 3Peaks challenge booked for the past three years but COVID led to delays. Nic was extremely supportive of our situation with more than one change. Eventually we got to complete it and we were not disappointed. The logistics of the event could make or break completing in a TRUE 24hrs as we did. From driver changes to experienced friendly and knowledgeable local guides at each mountain and with Nic keeping you watered and fed and on your toes there is nothing left to chance. A great experience with a good bunch and a true collective sense of achievement. Highly recommend.

From the moment I first met Nic( owner of active mountaineering) I felt at home. With there friendly banta a positive outlook I felt for sure I wold succeed in my 24 hour 3 peak challenge.

They are professional, knowledgable and experts in there field.

If it was not for there encouraging out look and belief in me I would not have finished my challenge in time.

If anyone is looking for challenge themselves or simply explore new hobbies, active mountaineering are definitely the company to approach. I am currently looking to do another challenge with them in the near future.

Enjoyed the first challenge so much so that I came back for a second go - didn’t think it was possible to enjoy it anymore than I the first time round, but I did!
I can now say I’ve done the TRUE 24 hour National 3 Peaks challenge twice over, both times with Nic & Christ - the most professional, inspiring, knowledgeable, humorous and sound people in the industry! :)
PS. I’ve now even booked myself on to their Mt Toubkal Morocco trip!
Mt Kilimanjaro next year me thinks… ;)

Where to start…. If you’re looking to do the Three Peaks in the TRUE 24 hours, then please don’t look any further than this company. It’s professionally organised, down to the minute, you’re well briefed on what is expected from you, what you need prior and during, and to be honest their no nonsense approach is what you need to achieve this challenge. Personally, I can’t thank them enough for supporting me to smash a goal that I’ve wanted to achieve for a very long time.

Active mountaineering put on one of the most enjoyable experiences of my adult life. Under their expert guidance and good humour they successfully navigated us to complete the 3 National peaks as a timed challenge inside 24 hours. With friendly and approachable guides who really knew their environment. I would recommend this company to anyone who will listen and we will 100% be planning another trip with them in the future. Chris and Nic showed a great sense of urgency and prolific sense of charisma with their guidance and experience.
They showed they were willing to get people to finish the challenge. Helped wherever they could and were supportive till the end.

Brilliant experience,
Chris and Nic make it clear what you need to do in order to complete this challenge in time. Offering advice on food and first aid aswell as setting the pace needed to get over the line in time.
Couldn't have done it without them that's for sure!
We also had a coach with AC much needed in 30 degree heat.

I enjoyed this trip a lot. Nic and Chris were supportive and amazing guides. Their funny chat + determined attitude meant that while we were pushed to our limits to get up the mountain, we had a good time while doing it. Nic is one of the most caring people as well and I genuinely can’t sing her praises enough. She got my friend and me extra food from the service station and kept checking that we were doing ok. Chris is just an all round legend. He is hilarious. So I would highly recommend this company but it is not for the faint hearted and PLEASE know what you are getting yourself into before you sign up !!

I and 5 others done the 3 peak challenge for 2 charities that helped my little boy. All the lads agreed we couldn’t have picked a better company to take on the challenge. They don’t take any prisoners. They support you crossing the line but make it clear from the start you need to push yourself if you are to have that amazing feeling we all have after completing the 3 peaks. Do as they say and you will do it! They have a laugh but no when to make sure you are focused. Nic and Chris are brilliant. Make sure you train hard before! Doing the 3 peaks is one thing but these guys make sure you do it in the 24 hours.

These guys do not mess around! If you want to complete this in a true 24hrs (apparently they are the ONLY company that do) then you need to book Nic and Chris to kick your butt up those mountains. It is not for the faint hearted and I requires some serious training (I wish I did more FAST hill training) but the sense of accomplishment when you cross that finish under 24hrs is immense. And well worth the annihilation from Chris and Nic. Fantastically organised, you pay for what you get, these guys do all the thinking for you so all you need to do is put one foot in front of the other, dig deep mentally and do exactly what they say. The coach is brilliantly equipped, the camaraderie fantastic and the expertise second to none. Book now with these guys if you want to get the job done properly.

Sat here one week on after completing the National 3 Peaks Challenge in 24 hours and actually wish I was back on the bus! It was an incredible challenge. Nic and Chris are hilarious, professional and make the challenges lots of fun. It’s also bloody tough and I thank them so much for their support and encouragement, one of the proudest moments when I crossed the finish line.

As with our previous event with Chris & Nic, it was an excellent experience. They're a lovely couple, very friendly & open. As they advertise, they really do aim to get everyone through the challenge in 24 hours.
Plenty of appropriate advice is given before and during the event to ensure your safety. They know when to give you the verbal push you need too!

What a great experience! Guided by the vast knowledge of Nic and Chris, along with their upbeat "can do!" attitude, this weekend was BRILLIANT! All credit to them!
